I am vegan so I have to substitute the egg for the chia seeds soaked in water so it will have the egg like consistency. I am going to add raisins to mine so it’s like a baked raisin bread. Hopefully this will be nice with a hot cup of vegan cacao ,almond creamer and agave . Thanks for sharing such a CREATIVE recipe yum!!
for those who are not eating eggs it can be baked with chia seeds instead of egg and result is very nice.. mix 1Tbsp chia seeds with 3 Tbsp water, let it soak 10-15 min and you have 1 egg.
@@artcook1976 During 2020 when everything was closed I used chia seeds and flax seeds instead of eggs because they were easy to order online. They were great and super healthy, so I still use them!
I did it, it was late when I realized that it said to be instant oatmeal but, I still added it to make it more pasty, because of this it was not so fluffy but delicious. I put walnuts, cramberries, and on top black sesame and pumpkin seeds....and used kefir instead of packaged yogurt.(desde Chile)
I made scones with this method today. 400ºF oven, 8-10 minutes. I chopped up a Medjool date and some hazelnuts, added 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Dropped them by Tablespoons on a waxed baking sheet. They are delicious. I am in New York City, USA.

Tried this recipe this morning. I use pink sea salt and only added 1/2 teaspoon of salt. I also added 1 tbsp of maple syrup. I was genuinely impressed with how it turned out, I now have all kinds of ideas of what I would like to try in it, like chunks of apple, cinnamon, carob chips, orange zest, dried fruits, coconut, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, and of course honey instead of maple syrup. Great recipe will use it often. Thanks for this healthy recipe. I am in Texas, USA

@@lauriceday5976 honey is just a suggestion. I did not substitute the maple syrup for honey. If I did, I would try using a 1 and 1/2 tbsp and see if it was enough. If not I would use more the next time I made it.

Thanks for sharing, the texture is a little coarse to my taste, so I did it again adding half cup of water to the yogurt and oatmeal mix and let it stand for 30 minutes. Instead of seeds I added one mashed medium ripe banana, one chopped honeycrisp apple, and half cup of dry cranberries, added one cup of pancake mix, one fourth cup of vegetable oil for moisture, some vanilla extract and cinnamon powder. No eggs, no salt, no sugar, no baking powder needed. It was delicious!
@@gloriacaetano-anolles5582 Actually oats Are gluten free. The problem is they can come in contact with other grains during the farming process, handling, transportation and storage. I cannot eat gluten but I am able to eat oats and do so often... They are one of my go to staples.

When I was growing up on a farm in Missouri, my mother made our bread, usually in 2 batches per week,and my grandmother churned our butter. Daddy kept bees so we had our own honey, too,. It was kept in a square, cut-glass dish just the right size for a honeycomb.

The flavor is neutral so this bread would pair well with a variety of toppings and dishes. I think it's great for breakfast but can also work with salads and soups. I added cinnamon and used a plain greek yogurt, then topped with hemp and sunflower seeds. 🍞🍞🍞💯💯

Ich selber mache vieles mit Lupinen und werde natürlich auch ein Brot machen, indem ich Dein Rezept mit Lupinenmehl mischen werde. Ansonsten verwende ich dinkel, emmer, Roggen Mehl. Reduziere diese Mehle um ca 15 % und ersetze es durch Lupinenmehl. Natürlich plus etliche Samen und Nüsse etc. Allen guten Appetit.

You have 50,001 likes now! Super healthy bread. Watched this from Devon England. I have the home made Yogurt and lots of Oats seeds walnuts the whole lot. This is one for the baking list for sure. Very well demonstrated and filmed. Good subtitles no need for the sound to be turned on. All it was short of, was the incredibly lovely aroma from this when cooked!

@@saryle1Oats do not contain gluten but they can have gluten in them do to cross contamination. Also what can seem like a gluten reaction from oats is actually a bad/allergic reaction to a certain protein contained in oats that can affect those with a gluten allergy, intolerance or sensitivity. I myself cannot consume gluten so I buy organic sprouted gluten free oats. I use them in many recipes and I with be trying this commenter’s suggestions with this recipe. I just thought I’d inform you about your misinformation regarding oats.

@@christinegitsham5809 Absolutely! It is a very solid bread. The one thing I noticed is it takes a few minutes longer to bake in my oven. Also, make sure you mix up the yogurt well before you put it in the mix. Otherwise it may be too dry. I also tried chopped pecans because one time I didn’t have walnuts and it was just fine. I like to cut a slice, microwave it for 10 seconds and put peanut butter or chocolate hazelnut spread on it. It’s a very filling and satisfying bread 🍞 Good luck with your adventure!
Later edit: We had it buttered with tea after dinner and toasted with butter for breakfast. Really nutty and dense, toasted beautifully!!! Delicious 😋 USA. I just made the first loaf. Just took it out of the oven, looks and smells great! Will wait for dinner to try it. Vielen Dank!
@@hildadubon7575 my guess is you can add just about anything you want. I put chopped dates in one loaf and it was delicious. Right now we are on total non sugar, but at some point I am going to try it with chocolate chips and craisons.😊 Chopped almonds, coconut, chopped pecans, prunes, apricots, chopped dried apples or bananas would probably work, also.

Just made the first one and it turned out well! I did find it a bit salty, but I don't eat much salt so maybe that's just me. I think next time I will try half the salt and maybe add some cinnamon and nutmeg too.

Almost exactly the same as my mom made but she used cashews, pine nuts, pistachios, and chopped dates. She said her mom would make in a wood stove in a cast iron pan but she only ever had roasted hazelnuts.

Pozwoliłam sobie trochę udoskonalić ten przepis. Zamiast 3 szklanek płatków owsianych dałam dwie i 1 szklankę zmielonego siemienia lnianego. WYSZŁO GENIALNE! WSPANIAŁE! PYSZNE! DZIĘKUJE :)

Just a tip, if you soak the oatmeal in the yogurt for a few hours before baking it you will get a much softer, more moist texture!!
I think your idea would be a good idea as well as add the baking powder earlier, like with the oats. It would disperse more evenly.

Hola, hace dos días preparé unas tortitas de avena, usé los mismos ingredientes,con menos avena y sin semillas, agregué, canela, vainilla y con manzana rallada, quedó exquisita. Saludos desde Santiago de Chile.

Bueno me conformo con el azúcar de la fruta, hay personas que les gusta más dulce.
А я делаю из овсянки и грецких орехов ( размолотые в муку ) печенье: яйцо, сахар, сливочное масло и растительное, разрыхлитель. Когда густая масса,тогда получаются рассыпчатые. Можно немного добавить муки.
Получается полезная вкуснятина.

Если уж совсем тесто рассыпается, тогда добавляю чуть варенья.
Но сливочное растопленное масло и растительное, вполне справляется с этой проблемой.

You have 50,001 likes now! Super healthy bread. Watched this from Devon England. I have the home made Yogurt and lots of Oats seeds walnuts the whole lot. This is one for the baking list for sure. Very well demonstrated and filmed. Good subtitles no need for the sound to be turned on. All it was short of, was the incredibly lovely aroma from this when cooked!

Absolutely lovely! I made the oatmeal bread with walnuts, raisins and ground flax. I also added honey for sweetness. Delicious! I have a gluten allergy and gluten free bread so expensive now, this is a great treat with a cup of tea. Thanks 👍😊
Oats contain gluten. Also barley and rye. It's not just wheat.
@@saryle1Oats do not contain gluten but they can have gluten in them do to cross contamination. Also what can seem like a gluten reaction from oats is actually a bad/allergic reaction to a certain protein contained in oats that can affect those with a gluten allergy, intolerance or sensitivity.
I myself cannot consume gluten so I buy organic sprouted gluten free oats. I use them in many recipes and I with be trying this commenter’s suggestions with this recipe. I just thought I’d inform you about your misinformation regarding oats.

Absolutely! It is a very solid bread.
The one thing I noticed is it takes a few minutes longer to bake in my oven.
Also, make sure you mix up the yogurt well before you put it in the mix. Otherwise it may be too dry.
I also tried chopped pecans because one time I didn’t have walnuts and it was just fine.
I like to cut a slice, microwave it for 10 seconds and put peanut butter or chocolate hazelnut spread on it. It’s a very filling and satisfying bread 🍞

@@hildadubon7575 my guess is you can add just about anything you want. I put chopped dates in one loaf and it was delicious. Right now we are on total non sugar, but at some point I am going to try it with chocolate chips and craisons.😊
Chopped almonds, coconut, chopped pecans, prunes, apricots, chopped dried apples or bananas would probably work, also.

I did not blend the oats so it was thicker but it was still good. It is hearty. I may try blending half for next time for a finer texture! Thanks for this recipe. I'll use it over and over again!

Thank you for this video! Do you generally eat this oatmeal bread for breakfast? I'm in the US, and in my area, we don't have any access to manufactured gluten free oat bread, so it must be made at home. This looks very easy and nutritious. Love your small utensils!

Just made the first one and it turned out well! I did find it a bit salty, but I don't eat much salt so maybe that's just me. I think next time I will try half the salt and maybe add some cinnamon and nutmeg too.

Almost exactly the same as my mom made but she used cashews, pine nuts, pistachios, and chopped dates. She said her mom would make in a wood stove in a cast iron pan but she only ever had roasted hazelnuts.

For egg replacement you can use one tablespoon of flaxseed soften in little water~this replaces 1 egg
