- This 2-ingredient bread is very quick to make! You just have to be patient for it to be ready to eat. Bread without flour, bread without gluten! A low GI recipe. Made with linseed and egg white, this bread is wonderful! No need for salt! Soft and crispy bread! Good tasting !
Ingredients :
100 g flax seeds (About 3/4 cup)
250 ml egg whites (1 cup) - Хобби

Did it smell and taste eggy? Was it dense? Flaxseeds tend to be a bit slimy, did the bread taste slimy? How would you describe the texture of this bread?

I have been baking flax seed breads for many years...without yeast but with bicarb & cream of tartar..also contains 5 whole eggs ! But now this recipe is just awesome...can even bake it during the Feast of Unleaven Bread !!! 💃

Excellent recipe and so easy. I put a little salt to taste. I also put a bit of baking soda and a little bit of dry yeast to give it a bread taste(still KETO) and sprikled the top with Sesame seeds. It tastes like really good multigrain bread! In the future I might try it in a my Staab baking bread pot to keep it hot longer and make a crispy crust. MAybe some rosemary next time.
It’s rather unbelievable that two ingredients can yield an eye-popping rise like that. What’s more amazing is how soft and crusty it is when that bread knife’s sound gives it away as you cut into it. @@hannek9713 Great question. True it’s a small recipe. I would ask Katy of this channel for sure, but I’m inclined to stick to the recipe because baking is such a science opposed to cooking. You could always do a double batch. The Ingredients are cheaper and then see.
I made it today and it’s really good. My pan is a bit larger and I have to adjust the baking time, I cut it in half and it was still not baked all the way. So I put it in my air fryer for a about 5 minutes and it had a great crunch to it. I had also added a bit of honey to the dough before baking to get a bit of sweetness. I think next time I will try to do smaller muffins with it. Thanks for the recipe!

@@sobreinakentish8164 definitely not slimey. It's lovely. You may want to top it with something to moisten it? tastes like flax seeds which I like, with no egg flavor. reminescent of wheat germ which I loved as a child but can not have now. If you are used to refined white bread, this is a different genre -- the flaxseed loaf is more like ancient wholesome bread.

Lemoncurd!!! 6 yolks. Boil 2 dl sugar with 1,5 dl lemonjuice. Pinch of salt and vanillasugar or vanillapaste. Chill. Add yolks and gently and I mean gently heat until you notice it is getting thicker. Do not boil, it will curdle. Not over 85c. Add 75 gr butter and mix. Chill in fridge! Tada!
Al comienzo esta oscuro y no se sabe la cantidad que se utiliza de las semillas de lino. Logre ver como 100 grs más, no estoy segura.

Watching this, I was sceptical with just the 2 ingrediants, thinking it looked more like a cake than an actual bread. But....I was pleasantly surprised, especially with the crunch when you cut it. I am still quite baffled as to how it rose without yeast, but Im going to give this a try for sure, as I cant eaten gluten, and am always looking for a good, gluten free bread that doesn't taste like cardboard, or a dish sponge, and also doesn't cost me an arm and a leg to buy...!!

Merci beaucoup pour cette recette elle nous sauve !!! On la réussi à tous les coups, et en plus c'est aussi bon que le pain. Par contre si on veut en manger tous les jours il faut une colonie de poules et un grand champ de lin rien que pour nous 😂
Pour récupérer les jaunes on peut faire des crèmes anglaises ou un lemon curd à étaler sur le pain.
