Also see if it works well for you if you can also add anjeer( dried figs) . It'll make the binding better. I really didn't expect white sugar but expected a natural sweet replacement that's healthy and won't let this taste like a diet treat. There is totally no need to heat or cook any of this.
    You can use all ingredients as they are and just mix with date to hold it together (without soaking and cooking and adding oat flour).
    If you soak and rehydrate the dried nuts beforehand - even better!
    Raw is healthier (and saves fuel and washing dishes).

      Water is added in this recipe so not sure how long it will stay good. My mom always made these (and now I make) without water. If dates are chopped nicely and saute'd on nonstick pan they soften and turn into nice paste. Then add crushed dry fruits and roll laddos or bars. This stays good for at least a couple of months. I have never seen these going bad!

    • @horris773
      @horris773 5 лет назад +1

      @@ChandrashekarCharlie There are a lot of natural preservatives in the bar and after all the cooking there doesn't seem to be a lot of left over moisture. All of the individual ingredients are dried, except the honey (honey NEVER goes bad) which is a very effective preservation method. This would probably keep for a very long time, damn near indefinitely.

    Energey Bar** it's good I love the color, but will substitute it with protein powder/peanut butter as this has lots of sugar dates/honey

  • @thakares
    @thakares 5 лет назад +10

    single date is 70 to 80 percent sugar, and one medjool date contains 16 grams of sugar and 67 calories. Eat four and you have 268 calories and 64 grams of sugar.
    Also, honey adds additional sugar. Sugar is sugar be it factory sugar, jaggery, or honey
    Also, fruits are natural candies. Fructose is another name of sugar.
