    I would love to see how to select fabrics for different styles, which sewing feet to use for stretchy vs lace vs silky vs velvet (for example), and how to make slits in the skirt :) I’m looking forward to the pattern tailoring! Thank you for all your efforts!!!

    hey guys! I wanted to make a super in depth tutorial covering just the basics (printing and assembling patterns, cutting the fabric, sewing the pieces together, choosing the right stitch etc) so my videos don't have to be repetitive, and I can focus on more interesting or intricate designs in future tutorials! Hope you like it :)
    Also sorry about the iffy audio quality - I need to figure out how to use a mic lol

    • @en2336
      @en2336 8 месяцев назад +6

      Can you maybe make a video on your favorite places to source fabric online? :) I feel like sometimes choosing the perfect fabric within my budget makes me tired before I even start sewing lol. And shopping locally is great but it's hard when you're looking for something specific to replicate

    • @OurLevel
      @OurLevel  8 месяцев назад +11

      @@en2336 yes fabric shopping can be pretty difficult! my favourite online website are minerva because they have a really wide range of fabrics that are high quality. I also like funki fabrics - they specialise in stretch fabric for sports, so their stretch fabrics are really good quality as well. But both are only based in the UK, I'm not sure about other countries!
      I usually order lots and lots of samples, because the fabric can often look or feel different to how it seems online.
      I'm also trying to learn more about technical fabric terms and specifications so I can determine how a fabric will look or feel just by reading the details online, once I have a solid grasp on that I will share it with you guys :)

    If there's one skill I wish I could diligently learn, it would be sewing. I WOULD LOVE to make my own clothes and turn my ideas into something tangible. When I was young, I wanted to be a fashion designer but the dream died later on, but I've noticed that there's still some little desire in me to design and learn how to make clothes. Maybe I'll do it one day. Thank you for this video, I enjoyed watching it.
