    I made the chinese fried quinoa for on the go last saturday, with a little twist, I added some finely diced ginger with the garlic and instead of the hot sauce I used dried chiliflakes. Also I had no green onion, but it tasted delicious all the same! Thanks for this great recipe! Definitely making it again. Also I would love more recipies with quinoa, I'm beginning to love that stuff :)

    Sara, I am so happy I've found you! Not only are your recipes wonderful, but watching and listening to you is so much fun!!! I have always cooked healthy meals, but I find that now, as seniors, we eat differently. Adding your fridge oatmeal and quinoa salads, along with morning smoothies, has been fabulous!!! I tell everyone I know to watch you, and I know, once Rachael, Guy and the biggies at the Food Channel read my emails, you're destined for greatness! Good luck, keep doing what you're doing, and know that I'm watching you 😍😍😍

    I enjoyed two of these salads today, the Tangy Thai one for lunch and now the Chinese Fried one for dinner. Both tasted great, were quick and easy to throw together and super pretty with all the colors(I've never used reb cabbage before, but it looks beautiful in salads). You've inspired me to start with meal prepping, so besides from these dishes I've got two jars filled with salad on hold in the fridge. Thank you so much for all of these great food ideas!

    you can do a stalk at home instead of buying the commercials ones which has 60% of salt!
    its that simple : a carrot , an onion , a celery , a potato . and you can add other vegs too if you like
    cut them into large pieces put them with 3 Litres of cold water then on fire and cover them , check when they start to boil then put the timer for 35 Minutes.
    then thats it .... you can put the vegs a part and use your home made tasty delicious healthy ( Brodo ) Italian name :)

      Suzanne Ramoundos I agree. A lot of recipes out there have so much sodium already then I hear the "cook" say "add some salt" and I think what, why? NO! Sodium is not your friend. Just a teeny, tiny pinch, but calm down! 😊

      Claudette Sodium keeps our fluids in balance in our bodies so we don't dehydrate, helps our many muscles contract and helps with our nerve impulses. We need 2,400 mg of sodium a day.

    • @jamescorvus8231
      @jamescorvus8231 7 лет назад +2

      lemon juice is a good alternative to salt. Vegetables already have natural salts. I have been on a low sodium diet for awhile now and I have to say that food tastes soo much better since I lowered my salt intake. Salt will kill your taste buds.

    • @MountainGardenGirl
      @MountainGardenGirl 7 лет назад

      Heather Lubbers, I was told with Hi Blood Pressure no more than 1200mg. But regardless, have you taken notice of how small an amount that actually is? Add up the natural salts in things as pure as spinach, salmon, bread...it adds up quick. But thanks for your input.

    That Chinese fried quinoa literally changed my life 😂 I ALWAYS have canned peas/carrots eggs and soy sauce in my fridge
    So basically I make it EVERY time I have leftover quinoa which is like every week 😂 I actually added some cooked ground turkey and it was delicious!
