I once reported a parent for child neglect. After CPS visited her, she called the school to talk to me and basically told me they told her it was the school that called on her and she proceeded to cuss me out. She later pulled her child from the school altogether. This was years ago and I often wonder what happened to that poor child because she was being completed neglected. My heart hurts for her and it makes me angry that CPS did nothing about her situation.

@@cewe2003I pulled my son out and homeschooled him after a school called CPS just bc I gave her a piece of my mind when it came to her being accused of degrading my child and she got upset I called a meeting with admin. Two days later I got a call from CPS. I gladly let them in and cooperated and they close my case 5 days later. I was so disgusted with the school to put my son through that bc you don't like me is crazy. I was never worried though bc I am a good mother but I would rather pay $800 a week for a private tutor and home school than to send my son back there
He literally explained the things he did to his son but made it seem like he did it to himself

Edit: To all the people angry with my opinion. Look up the Alex Hill case from Texas. And then understand that that's not even the only case in this country of a child being killed by a foster parent after being taken away from their safe and loving home. Over marijuana of all things.
Slippery slope. Then we’re going to have a ton of workers removing kids just to err on protection against criminal liability. Then cps gets buried in lawsuits and the funding situation is even worse than it is now with the kids falling through the cracks of not enough resources. I’m not saying criminal charges shouldn’t come in some of these cases but it has to be approached delicately.

CPS is a overworked industry but thays because its oversight is almost non existent and even when present is roughly a *decade* behind in the paperwork department.
Like many many legal services in this country they are woefully under equipped and understaffed.

I feel like anytime a parent just pulls their child out of school to home school them after teachers called cps prior to it, it needs to be investigated thoroughly bc that's a huge red flag that they all saw and did nothing to save this boy.

The kids go to school with bruises, CPS shows up at their house, kid gets pulled from school then "home schooled" all while being completely neglected. I'm sorry that happened to u! I'm glad u made it to adulthood! I believe regular school is so necessary for kids. N it's sad bc the ones like this are even scarier bc they don't do drugs or drink so CPS has no proof of anything to take their kid. Although in this case, it should've been visibly obvious to everyone that he was being neglected. And put through hell.

Look up the case of Baby Brianna and it will shock and sicken you what a father, mother, and uncle did to this child from the day of her birth until she died at only 5 and a half months old. Her entire body had contusion, bruises, broken ribs both legs, her arm and forcably raped over and over again by both father and uncle. This poor baby only knew and felt pain and torture her entire existence on this earth. The violent heavens they gave this infant were horrific they would even throw up in the air she would hit the ceiling and they would let her just hit the floor. Another sick thing is that the Grandmother and other relatives knew and witnessed this abuse and just turned away and did nothing to help this poor child. This happened in New Mexico I know they say it was the worse case of child abuse and sexual assault on a child they had ever seen. The mother has been released from prison and the commune she is in want her gone.

My son can be a little jerk and i have cleaned up so much of his bodily fluids I've grown numb to it, but i love that kid so much i would die for him. This isn't the first time I've heard this interrogation, but damn knowing what he's going to say makes it worse when you hear his tone and the details. Knowing that he's actually recalling them from memory - just leaving out that he's the one that committed the act, not the baby doing it all on his own. We are receiving vivid details of the horrible scene straight from the eyes of the perpetrator. It gives me chills and turns my stomach.

@@farmhouseonthemountainnot true. As shocking as it is Seven states and the District of Columbia require that parents have a high school diploma or GED in order to homeschool their children. These states are Georgia, North Carolina, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and West Virginia. The other states do not require parents have a GED or highschool diploma.
This case is in Ohio which does require the parent to have at least a high school diploma or GED. The teachers at the school the child had attended did the right thing and child services failed him horribly. It's disgusting.

But during a visit with the wee boy her boyfriend assaulted her while holding him, so the wee boy was removed from his foster parents. His foster parents had been trying to adopt him, and kept trying to get him back But instead child services handed him to his father - even though he had a history of violence charges.

Takoda was a sweet, kind, beautiful boy and he was failed by so many people. It wasn't just the school who reported the abuse and it wasn't just in the state he was murdered in. There were reasons they left Wisconsin.
There were so many chances this little boy could have been saved. It breaks my heart.

I’ve watched hundreds of hours of interrogations, true crime, serial killer stories, murders, rape, terrorism stories, everything…and absolutely nothing gets to me like this story. I’ve watched this a dozen times and each time it drives me crazy. This man is so incredibly removed from being a father that he cannot even begin to guess how he should answer these questions and talk to these people. He can’t even lie appropriately because he doesn’t know the first place to begin. He doesn’t know what grade he should be in, what subjects he should be learning , what books he would be reading, he can’t even guess well enough to lie about what a disturbed child would do/say. He has absolutely zero idea that trashing his dead child this way does absolutely nothing but make HIM look horrible. Not a single thing he said or lie he told made his son look bad or responsible for his own death in any way. I’d like to take this man’s life with my hands. Noone can tell me a child is not a slave. At the very least if a child is being abused by its owner. It should be allowed to choose a new master. It's nearly impossible for an abused child to leave. They have less rights than dogs. 1 day before turning 18 they're not legally allowed to leave. The day they turn 18 they can be kicked out with no warning. It's nearly impossible to kick out an adult refusing to pay rent. But u don't need to give ur kid any warning. They're not even allowed to own property the day before turning 18. They can't even legally build themselves to save money for the day they get thrown out. The parent can take whatever they want from them because kids aren't considered human beings by the law

I've watched a lot of True Crime (including Junko Furuta and Sylvia Likens), and I have to say this is one of the most disgusting cases I've ever watched. What a disgusting monster.

The birth mother lost Takoda because she was abusive to him. She was on dope at the time. I guess she has gotten clean and she tried to get Takoda help. She reported that she thought Takoda was being abused.

In most cases those individuals are locked separately from other prisoners to keep those monsters save.

I've been locked up in a maximum security prison where no predators like that got hurt or killed. That's because not every prison has shankings and murders. This one hasn't ever had one in 15+ years. A predatory inmate might get beat up here and there but it's not like TV at every prison that exists.
You've obviously never been to prison and are just going by what you see on TV. This ain't the 1980s anymore. The only "code" most prisoners have to is do whatever they can to save their own skin. That's it.
