This guy is literally the worst person I've ever seen in a true crime case. Not only is he an evil murderer, but he genuinely doesn't consider himself to be doing anything wrong at any point.
People like this guy are the most dangerous of all and should never be allowed out of prison.

The fact that the father is overweight while the baby starved is just disgusting. They could've just given the baby up for adoption so someone could give her a good life, but then they would stop getting financial assistance that I'm sure they were receiving. What awful, AWFUL monsters...
The mother worked at McDonald's & they lived on a vegetable farm. No excuses for the older ones to be starving either. They were literally eating dirt in the yard & trash.

And if it wasn't for a financial reason then they must have just enjoyed torturing children. Like I said, monsters.
@@Kluh__I’ve watched several parental interrogations when they’ve killed their children, and I’m pretty confident it’s the power they feel. It’s why nurses and school teachers and police tend to be abusers (not always of course). It’s the power they feel over someone weaker than them. They’re still bullies from their school days, just now they don’t to actual children as an adult instead of a child to child (which is still dangerous and detrimental to a child’s mental health)
@Aurora-fi5gx That's so terrible. Also, the fact that they're in a position where kids trust them completely is just sickening. They take advantage of that trust to fulfill their own twisted desires. In my opinion, _those_ are the kind of people who deserve capital punishment. They don't deserve a second chance.

The expression on Seth’s face when the judge hands down the sentence is hilarious. It’s like he legit thought that it was “not a big deal”. That big mouth of his will get plenty of use in prison 😂.

This man is truly Heinous. It’s so disgusting that he genuinely thinks he’s smarter than everyone, doesn’t care about his daughters death and is actually annoyed by having to deal with it, and the only emotion he shows is not when they show the pics of how malnourished she was but when he was sentenced to live very justly

Being in the same room with such a cold-blooded monster, the investigators’ self control is amazing. I’m not sure I would’ve been able to control my emotions as well as they had.
this might sound crazy, but I think (though it depends on the detective, obviously) the worse the suspect is, the easier it is to put on that fake "yeah buddy, I'm with you" persona. it adds extra layers of protection just from the absurdity of it all. I think it's easier to fake when the person is a delusional sociopath because you just have to lean into their ego. and when it's easy and going well, it's not hard to maintain self-control. on some level it is just acting but I imagine you get good at it.
Right. Even down to the apologising earnestly for forgetting the wife's name, as if you wouldn't want to offended the guy who let his baby starve to death. The detective has to concentrate on the end game and reel the guy in like a huge game fish. Fighting to aggressively will snap the line. Better if he doesn't even think he's on the hook. All the more chance he'll swim towards you.

Imagine the lengths the average parent would go to in order to make sure their baby was fed properly. This waste of space wouldnt even sacrifice one of his own meals to provide for his daughter.

It's incomprehensible. As a parent, you should want to do everything possible for your child to thrive. I had a premie baby in January, and I can't count the number of doctor's visits I had to take him to. It's not a burden, though, it's the necessary steps to ensure his wellbeing. He will likely be getting a helmet soon, too, but not because a doctor is trying to con us, but because he actually needs it.
Seriously! I worry my baby doesn't eat enough! It's unbelievable that a mother could look at her child, see organs and bones because the baby is so malnourished, and not care enough to do anything. Sickening.

Before I changed my life and got away from my abuser I would literally walk to the store which was quite far cause we were in a shitty trailer in the middle of nowhere and would steal the stuff I needed. Her biological father was cruel, abusive, addicted to drugs and did utterly nothing for her. So I had to do it all. Most of the time while she was sleeping because it it was too hot or too cold I couldn't bring her with me. One time I remember walking in a snow storm that I swear to God was so freaking cold I felt like I couldn't even breathe right. Thankfully I got away from him, clawed my way from about as low as you can get to where me, my oldest daughter and her little sister are now. I own my own beautiful house in a nice safe and fun suburban neighborhood, I'm a certified CDCA, and I am a senior in college to further my education by getting my bachelor's degree in psychological science.
These people have NO excuse. They're fucking disgusting human beings.
I've seen grown adults have more emotion when their pet died than this guy is showing for his own daughter...
Those kind of people are the worst. Spoiled, entilted know-it-alls, who received everything is their lifes but abuse and refuse basics to their kids in the name of some "idea".
There is nothing more satisfying than his face at sentencing, shame that poor child had to lose their life
What disgusts me the most is how much of my own flaws I see in this guy. I hope to God that if I ever have a child, at that time I will either be better, or be willing to work to become better.

Cps is actively sweeping preventable cases like these under the rug but claim all the funding...that whole department needs a remanaged starting from the top downwards.
@kwazimokava6499 It's a combination of factors. Most departments don't pay their frontline workers anything and are wildly understaffed being managed by bloated "boards" and management that take all the money as their salary. This is the way it is here where I live. It got so bad that our county DHS was under investigation for multiple foster care for cash schemes.

Parets like this are why i think people need to be tested and professionally trained before theyre allowed to have kids.
Who is going to do the testing and training? Can you really trust your government to do something like that?
I think the best solution would be to force all teenage boys to get a vasectomy, and then once they've saved up or begged for enough money to get the reversal surgery they can be allowed to have kids.

This case baffles me, because he genuinely doesnt believe he did anything wrong! His iconic reaction to his sentencing, the headshake at murder charge shows he thinks its ridiculous and he did nothing wrong
Parents like this really make me stop and appreciate my family and parents more than anything on this earth. The fact that is purely luck/fate that decides what type of parents we are born from gives me chills. Always take time to reflect and appreciate the small things you are blessed with in your life 🙏🏼💙

I think the channel ‘Dreading’ has the full interrogation videos and they are quite possibly the most disgusting human beings ever (all figuratively, literally and PHYSICALLY.)
They neglected all their children and were so unbothered by their treatment towards them. When the “mom” breaks into tears and the “dads” mouth drops is quite honestly the most satisfying part in this case.

I am a true crime junkie. I do not, for the most part, let my emotions get involved much in these cases. I like the forensics part of it. I am a nurse. I have had to distance myself from emotions during certain times..BUT to hear the way this man can just nonchalantly talk about his child.. has brought me to tears! 😢

It’s inconceivable. I would do almost literally anything to provide for my son, I cannot imagine letting them starve. Evil might not even be the right word, the man is BROKEN.

He’s daddy is the devil in the flesh himself along with the two females who just sat back and let it happen. All three of those monsters should of gotten the bullet. I’ve never broken down about one of these cases till I came across Takodas story. Unbelievably tragic what happened to that sweet little boy and I think of him very often. He won over many of our hearts didn’t he? Poor guy, I will always remember as well.

The only reason the older children are alive is because mom had more time at home to keep them fed.

I honestly thought the father didn’t know his baby was deceased until he mentioned he woke up and the baby had passed . How is he so nonchalant about his baby ? I freak out when my baby sleeps to still or coughs to hard 😢
I’m the father to a 10 month old at home. Hearing the baby’s weight and age made me instantly tear up. Typically I feel that eye for an eye is brutish, but here I wish he would suffer the same fate.

That was a deliberately exaggerated face to show his disagreement and disbelief as he wasn't allowed to actually say anything. It's like he is saying "See my face, I don't deserve this'.

I was over 9 pounds… AT BIRTH… the fact she only made it to 8 pounds by a year old is sickening. My sister was almost 11 pounds at birth and my brother was over 9 pounds as well.

The oldest kid cost $15k they never took another kid to the dr after that. The oldest had MJ in her system that's why they kept her for 3 extra days. He conveniently skips over that detail

It must be hard to be a detective and keep your emotions in check. I’m sure these detectives have children (or at least have sympathy for children) and not getting angry at this guy has to be hard. They are doing great and going along with him and letting him dig his own grave by talking and talking and talking.

He could have been feeding her and she had something wrong with her digestion or diabetes . If that was the case he would maybe have sought medical care.the way He keeps mentioning the empty food packages in the trash is very suspicious. It seems he thinks that proves he fed her! He clearly didnt feed her or he fed her and watched her die of malnutrition. He mentions working on a farm with animals and says he knows what a dead body looks like , I work on a farm" that was very odd making a dead farm animal equal to his deceased daughter. I know farmers and have never heard one claim to have seen " lots of dead bodies" They ought to do some digging around his farm!

That's a good detective. He knew the skewed viewpoints the parents had/claimed and acted like he agreed with that thinking to put this monster at ease.
“We’re not too regulated or too uptight” meaning we don’t care if our kid eats or not.. all the food is ours!
I've seen the case before.
About the father: I'm not sure if he's "just" a complete psychopath or if he's not mentally developed enough to understand the degree of responsibility he had as a parent. If you look at the way he conducts himself in the interrogation, and how his jaw drops at the verdict. Either he knew the entire time that that's what he was up against, but he thought he could get away with it, and he was just shocked that he actually got convicted. Or he's just never grasped what being a parent is supposed to mean, in a "nobody told me to go seek medical help asap, so I thought it was fine" kind of way, like, literally not grasping it was his responsibility to make that decision on his own.
I find the mother much more interesting. She's clearly devastated, I'm assuming she's devastated about the death of her child more than she is devastated about the consequences it'll have on her own life and comfort. But... she was also responsible for the well-being of that child, and, she didn't do what was necessary either. So the question is why. I see many possibilities.
1) she was manipulated into it by the father, in which case she probably has psychological weaknesses she'd need to work on
2) she was fine with, agreed to, or encouraged it (I doubt that)
3) she was scared to get hurt if she didn't let it happen, in which case she should've gotten the police involved, separated, fought for custody, and gotten a restraining order
4) she wanted to leave but (thought she) couldn't. Usually it's for financial reasons, I think she was working and he wasn't so that's out of the question here... or it's for religious reasons, which I'll just say, is stupid (if that was the reason, just look, it killed an innocent child).
I agree with you. She had an effing degree in child development. She knew exactly what was up. He comes across as Chris Chan . The other kids where malnourished but alive. I get she was the only one working but it's like she literally never ever checked on that baby

I've heard this case before, but it still baffles me. CPS is partly to blame for this. If they were so "concerned", why didn't they do anything? These disgusting parents got away with this for years and it took a dead baby to get the authorities involved. Also, parents shouldn't be allowed to refuse to take their kids to get medical treatment, whether it's for something serious or a regular yearly check-up. It should be as illegal as not sending your kids to school. Why is it okay for literally anyone to be allowed to have kids? Thousands of kids die or get abused in households that hate them. It makes me angry that horrible people are allowed to breed.
What on earth would compel someone to just not feed their baby?! I cannot imagine having that level of apathy. That poor baby…

Mary died of starvation and neglect. Point blank. The father is a heartless, cold bastard. There’s zero room for reasoning behind this. He was neglected, abused and starved to death. Any normal parent would’ve reacted polar opposite to this. I hope both of them go to prison, and I hope the guards starve them also.

The fact this man has other children shows just how strong those kids are! I hope that maybe now that they'll have somewhat of a normal life. I do hope the rest of that family aren't completely deranged and evil as these people and they stepped up and took care of those kids. This was extremely difficult to watch. The only solace is that in prison the inmates do not tolerate harm to children! I know for a fact these people will definitely find out! I hope it's that way for their entire sentence, the rest of their pathetic lives!!!!! Children are our only form of immortality and should be honored as the precious gifts that they are!
How someone treats animals, or especially a baby human being that relies completely upon you to take care of her s a direct reflection of themselves and who they are.
He looks like he works morning to night as a farmer, never stopping to breathe. What a physique! AND he took care of all those kids at the same time! Whats a little mold, vermin and starvation ?

And how even if you didnt know how things went…your reaction as a parent to waking up to your child dead is 911. Regardless. So how he just called his dad and waited around for two hours is beyond me. He didnt care at all for that baby.
They had a great deal of tidying up to do. I can't believe the mattress the baby had to languish and ultimately perish on. An infant sleeping for 16 hours!

From watching this a few times, it struck me that I could not find during this entire interrogation, Seth mention "Mary's" name, once. He seemed to be talking about her as if she was a farm animal.
Exactly! He calls her the kid. Doesn't use her name at all.
My children weighted more when they were just born. Such monsters, he doesn't look starved at all.
Seen this on many other channels, but I'm still happy to watch the stranger take on it. I had an illness that left my body starving. I was soooo sick . I think the baby had a serious health issue that they blew off more so than not feeding the kid.

Because many cases are covered by multiple channels, especially high profile. It’s to make it seem like the content in this video is new content. You don’t recognize the shirt, so many it’s a different interrogation. Just ends up being the same ones. Just the channel trying to get views for posting content that isn’t new.

I feel like blanking out the name of a dead/murderer child in these types of interviews or interrogations is just further dehumanizing them. Why not bring some dignity to the victim by saying their name ?
