college has been so boring and dull over here as we are still having online classes, I don't have a place to study (we stay at out houses and the library i used to go is still closed) and I found out I have problems at keeping focus, so any excuse is good to stop being productive. these type of videos reallly help me gain my motivation back, thank you!. In september I will start my last semester of university. Having missed out on one and a half years of proper school life due to corona, not being able to stay out till late with my friends because the last bus I can take is at 8 pm ( I know crazy, I live in the middle of nowhere, yet so close to the city where my school is in) I honestly feel stuck and desperate. I am scared to miss out on the experience of dating and meeting new people and don't really know if I will even get the chance for it this semester as well. This isn't really a cry out for help, I want to know how other people deal with this if they are in a similar situation as I am. I will try to make as much new connections as possible. I am not even sure if this is the thing I want to do later on in life, but when looking through other career options i don't really see what else I am able to do or if i will be too old to switch. I will graduate at the age of 22 which means that I can't afford to add another study for 3-5 years
Hey there, I'm twenty and I'll start my last year of college in October. That said, I am planning on getting a masters after that, but in a different college. I was in much the same situation, I have a very small circle of friends, I didn't get to socialize at all since corona and dating? Lol, never happened. And you know what? I'm okay with it. Yes quarantine sucks, but it didn't affect only you, but everyone else, don't feel like you have to catch up. Society drills it into our heads that our life must follow a very clear cut path: study, date, get a job, get married, buy a house, have kids. For most people this is what they are aiming for, if it's genuinely what they want, great, but most do it because of others' expectations. And they don't just tell us what to reach for, but when. I say screw it, you don't owe anyone your life. By stressing over what you aren't doing you wont't be able to enjoy what you ARE doing, and time flows by far too quickly for us not to make the most of it. You don't have to do what everyone else does, focus on what you want and can do for now. Tomorrow is a completely new day and it shouldn't be taken for granted, so enjoy today.
Lora, I feel you. I wish I could attend physical school and board away from my family and get valuable life skills and get independent. Right now I barely have any friends. I haven't hung out with someone whom I enjoyed their company in a loooong while. I can't really complain with how my life has been so far but I just wish it was a little different. I'm gonna be 21 this year and never gone out on a date. While I am excited for the future, I just feel like I'm excited about a flop; like I'll just live a lonely life and that. This isn't a cry for help either but things can feel really gloomy at times when you hardly leave your house/have friends I hope I can better myself as time goes on

@@javeriaabbasi5957 College lasts 3 years in my country and I had turned 18 less than two months prior to starting my first semester. So 3 and then another 2 if you want to get a masters. I didn't take a gap year nor did I ever get held back in school, so I'm just taking the normal route.

I just discovered your channel and i love it, it is really informative and i like the way you make your videos and that they are not too long, but also not just 2 or 3 minutes... only thing (and i didnt know it would bother me that much) is the audio recording... I mean idk its not bad quality or anything, maybe its just me being a little sensitive or complaining on a higher level (idk if that is even a sentence that works in english, sry im not a native speaker), but yeah. aside from that, i am going to watch many videos from you now! ^^
i am being very honest with you, although you will probably figure this out yourself throughout the years: majoring in psychology is not the move you want to do unless you network, have a mentor, and are prepared to get at LEAST a master’s degree. you will get next to nothing with a bachelors and psychology is one of those “popular” majors now, so everyone is majoring in it and it’s becoming very over saturated. you need to do a LOT to stand out, and you need to be very committed and plan your route very carefully. also, make sure your desired career is in demand in your area, as in how easily can you get a job where you’re located or planning to be? how about the cost of living? will the salary live up to those expenses? there are so many factors to consider, but i’m just telling you this to be real and have you think about what actually matters. i did not have anyone that had me thinking realistically about my life choices (i went with accounting - tax specifically because you’re always guaranteed a job anywhere, so these weren’t factors i had to consider for myself).

I too did my bachelor's in economics but in by 3rd year I was lost. I didn't know what I will do with degree or what industry should i go in. Should i go for master or get a job. And honestly everyone is lost. And now Iam learning animation and stuff and am working as graphic designer, something altogether very different from Economics😆 So for anyone who is lost, just breathe and calm down. Sit down and analyze what you are good at what's something you love doing and go for it. Don't just blindly go with what everyone else is doing or what has more "scope". I believe if you do what you love, you will do well in life.
