Sneaky's fonts are not the only ones available. However, not all fonts are available for all FC firmware and goggle combinations.
Knifa's Material font is available for DJI WTFOS and Walksnail, but only for Betaflight FC - github.com/Knifa/material-osd...

Thanks Joshua for using my font. Ill have a bunch more variants and styles coming here shortly! 🙂 Yeah ive been experimenting for a few months with keying out the video data on the Discord, it uses the metadata so its tricky but they just added a few weeks ago a chroma button and you can select best color (usually pink as the green turns the glyths clear). Only issue im dealing with is of course DJI drops frames compared to GoPro so to get them synced its literally like speed ramping up and down constantly through the video. But we well get it eventually. Props to KNIFA and all the other WTF-FPV peeps.
A short tip to don’t have to put all the files one after an other into the webinterface which is a little bit annoying :
you can Mark the video and osd file in the explorer and drag and drop it together into the webinterface… it automatically adding it to correct section. This is also possible for the four font files! Mark all four and drag them to the Interface… voila!

I find it very informative to watch flight footage with the osd overlay to study all the stats like distance compared to lq and rssi and other analytics.

So here is the gotcha i have experienced. After 10 min flight time the googles make a new mp4 file. However that second file doesn’t have an .osd file to match. Most quad guys wont care. But if your long range or a wing person this is incredibly not cool.
Oh boy i didn't know this..... i fly lr n just. Just started using DJI for my long-range I had yet to go on a long flight this this is going to be interesting is there a workaround for this I have goggles V1
I can't confirm this. I have a flight of 16 minutes and it's just one file. File size is 3.42 Gb though and usually if files get split it's at the 4 Gb mark. I'll do some bench testing later and check when and if files are being split.
It could be my googles or my memory card?
@@jamesweber383 I just did some bench testing and now it is also splitting the files after 10 minutes. I don't know why because I definitely have two files with >15 minutes of flight time.
@@CW7_ i noticed it saves the osd file the same time at the second mp4 file. Im sure its logging the data but how do we string the two mp4 together…
can i also change the font on my O3 air unit or only on the older versions?

I recently found out that a mosfet on my esc was not working. So I took my friends esc and put it on my quad. Is there something that I’m supposed to do cause I’m not getting the startup tones from the esc.

hey, cool video ! but i have a weird issue with this method : only the top left corner of the osd is saved. I did not find anything online about it, juste people telling they have the same bug. any idea ? it does not happen everytime, sometimes it works just fine ...
Are they working on this kind of thing for V2+O3? Is it even possible in this combination?
Think speed and g forces with some stick position graphic would be a cool overlay,...

I've been doing this since day one somebody showed me how to do this it's quite simple in a neat little thing to do are there other ways to Overlay the OSD
Not saying anything bad about this, in fact I'm gonna update WTFOS just so I can get the font customization in my goggle, but do that many people really want the OSD on their DVR footage?? I mean I could see it definitely for those that do commercial work, for time stamps, and a billion other reasons related to work? But does the average hobbyist need it, being on his dvr footage? I'm just curious. Oh and you said this won't work between a vista and V2 goggles??
Note to anyone having issues with webiste crashing - Opera GX seems to have a memory overload and crash when trying to create the final video. Chrome works fine
Hey JB, Do the font pack need to be the same - what your using in the SD card of the googles, and what you upload to this online tool, or can they be different?

I have a dji goggles v2 with Dji Air unit O3 on my drone, i receive OSD on my goggles V2 but not on the recording video DVR!! on the dvr video it recorded just the video without OSD !! i am on the latest firmware update Goggles & O3 unit (BF4.4.2 with HDOSD), can some one help please, Thx

I have perfect OSD display in my Goggles for both Ardupilot and Inav. But when I merge the video and OSD files with WTFOS, I end up with strange artifacts in addition to seeing some of the OSD elements. I've tried different font files in both Ardupilot and INav. Anybody have the same experience and how to solve it.
I recall hearing something about a certain firmware update on the DJI goggles V2 that broke the ability to root them permanently. Is that true, or has that issue been resolved? I am working my way slowly towards digital (step one is to get my control link better, going from Turnigy Evolution to ELRS and a RM Zorro), step 2 is to save up more $$$ for the DJI V2 and OS3. Step 3 is to lose my quad with the pricey OS3 on it.
Yes there are firmware versions that lock out root. But you can use FPV.wtf Butter to roll back.

Sounds great! Till now I wasnt able to set goggles V1 to create osd file separately. I have to try that now. Did you have to do some other steps except Joshuas please?
Did i miss something in the video or is it not necessary anymore to put "set msp-osd rec_enabled true" into the CLI of the goggle to enable record of these *.osd files?
It is not. They now enable that option by default.
I had to enable it manually. After updating the goggles to latest version it was still disabled.

It doesn't auto-enable if upgrading a previous install. It only auto-enables if you're doing a fresh install.
I really wish there were more chroma fonts and not just one. The one from sneaky isn't perfect as well because it contains green elements which are difficult to keep when keying.
Theres now a chroma option in the online rendering tool, select a pink color and your golden. The timing is an issue though. (DJI vs GoPro)
@@vicewize Yes, I found out recently it's in the knifa fork and it's working very well. In the meantime I started making my own font which isn't that hard.
@@CW7_ Nope its not rocket science for sure, its all about the tiny stuff and making it pixel perfect in illustrator then importing into photoshop (my workflow sure theres lots of other ways). Nice having the pixels actually aligned to the LCD it makes your fonts much sharper. Looking forward to checking it out bro! I got like 4-5 alternate fonts ready to upload but i want them perfect, and the pain in the ass ones (inav and ardu because theres so many damn pages of glyths you have to make) but im really trying to do something different with using different elements not intended to be in a certain place to spice up the OSD so ughhh. Time consuming as I design frames/CAD mostly and time is limited. The overlay tool is great though for testing you bin files as before we didnt have that and would have to do it all looking through the googles which was a pain!
Totally unrelated to the video but if you have a chance sir @Joshua Bardwell I posted a video on my page and I have a pink moving partial circle now but the camera is. It the culprit so I believe what’s your best guess I’d appreciate any help I can get
Does this work with iNAV? I'm on 6.0, do I need the latest RC3 to get the vtx msp option? I only see DJI vtx. Do I need to put the air unit on UART1? I currently have the GPS soldered to UART1 and the AU to UART3.
Yes. Its not very hard to set up.
Ports tab. Uart with vtx. Peripheral drop down there is an potion for dji.
Goto osd and set up look for dji tab on top right?
@@jamesweber383 My AU is soldered up to UART3, and when I tried to enable MSP on UART3, and save and reboot, it comes back with MSP enabled on UART1, even though my GPS is on that one. I think I chose that UART because my FC has 5V pads so the GPS is powered up when the FC is plugged into USB. It makes setting up iNAV easier, because I don't need to plug in the flight battery to do it.

@@nihilisticone4215 im not sure why that’s happening. Put a post in the inav group you will get an answer. I remember it being way easier than in betaflight

Yes, if you have the custom OSD enabled on your quad.
You can overlay OSD even on GoPro videos. I was testing it here ruclips.net/video/C83AlfBp-9k/видео.html but I had the problem to fully remove the green screen :/
At least in Adobe Premiere it's pretty easy with the ultra key. The only problem is that the chroma font uses green elements as well.
And the time syncing is a nightmare. But yup!
@@CW7_ You can use online tool now with the pink chroma option, its on the online renderer now. :-)

@@vicewize Synchronization is not that hard. I start with GoPro, OSD DVR and OSD chroma DVR tracks. I just find some tree that overlaps the other tree and with the help of perspective (so you can have 1 frame precession) you can mark that moment in time on two tracks. The last step is to find changes in the OSD. I just find the same GPS coordinates and add markers on chroma DVR and normal DVR track when they change. Then it's a matter of adding some offset to align the markers on 3 tracks. It could be done within 2 minutes.

That's your decision to make. Bear in mind that it's not uploading your videos. It's just a program running in a web browser, processing your data locally.
Trying couple of times but .osd file nowhere at V1 goggles, still have only .srt file. Is there anybody who can confirm that .osd file is pop up in V1 goggles? Thx guys
Go into the MSP OSD options and make sure the option to save OSD is on. If you upgraded a previous install it won't be in by default.
