Want to see it "fly"? (It's not what you think.) ruclips.net/video/5413mzKzIHs/видео.html
I haven't been blue balled this hard since college.
I can relate
I can't believe you didn't fly it! I'm in suspenders!
Spell-check-- the bane of my lice.
😐
Auto complete prediction is a liar.
😑
I hate my life.
The introduction was so much fun to put together 😂😂😂
3d print a top plate for it and send it for the boys. Also I was sad to see that you weren't at Rampage :(
That was my fault! He was on vacation with us :) (the editor)
@@FabioPansera Hi Fambia!
@@willcubemakes I hate you all.
I'm disappointed in you that you didn't glue it. You should have tried it with the rubber band first 🙄
5 years ago I build a quadcopter using exact same motors. I even also designed a frame on 3mm acrylic sheet which is cut using CO2 laser. I even use electrical tapes, and cable ties to held it together. Then, i fly it using turnigy controller and crashed it immidiatelly.
That was my first quadcopter build. I saved a money from a school pocket money to buy the cheapest components. I also watched Flitetest on how to build it. I am having fun on those days and I am quite proud of it.
First 5 minutes are Joshua giggling like a scoolgirl.....good stuff and nice to see u not at the computer screen and outside having fun
I am petitioning. We must have a flight video!
You know we all wanted to see it fly lol
"I don't think there's an AIO that can handle 2205s."
introducing, the Infinity 55a AIO. Been trying to kill it with 6s packs for almost a year now. Absolutely bulletproof.
With which motors? :)
jhemcu makes a lot of great 4-6s aio's too I've been flying one for years.
@@captaincrazy9287 i ran the bubby 2205 and the tmotor 2207. Both were the 6s versions.
Not 16*16 guess
He meant a 16x16, he is well aware of the whoop size AIOs that can be used in 5 inches
Is there an affiliate link?
ROFL
Lmao
Intro has a blue replacement top plate......
So guessing their will be a part two.......
Bardwell's gleeful laugh cracks me up, he's just like "yup" every time xD.
I'm confused, in the intro of the video the top plate is blue, so I assumed blackjungle sent out a replacement,( being that I already know the story of how you broke the top plate a long time ago), and thought you were going to fly it at the end of the video. What's the story with the blue top, or was that just a colored film??
Very entertaining, JB!! 😅👌🏻
When john started bending it i thought for sure it was just gonna snap 😂
I was nervous about it snapping, so I kinda went easy on it.
I made a 5 inch quad using polycarbonate from home depot in 2019. OMG, it flew away due to extreme vibrations!
Get a frame made and fly the thing…. Why would you post this and not fly the thing? 🤦♂️😂
Because the ESC lit on fire? Did you watch the end of the video?
@@JoshuaBardwell uh.. yea!! You stoopidly broke the frame.. glue it and take it out for a rip!! We want to see how terrible it is 😃 make it fly 😎
@@JoshuaBardwell I just went back and rewatched the last couple minutes and I can only see you talk about how you broke the frame. No mention of the ESC being damaged. Are you sure you aren't mistaken here? Maybe you uploaded an older edit that didn't include the ESC being damaged accidentally. Or I am deaf and blind idk.
@@JoshuaBardwell You must be thinking of a different video. The one you uploaded makes no mention of the esc catching on fire, although I doubt anyone is surprised to find that out.
@@JohnSmith_1331 pssst; he's trolling us. He got me - and you, and you and you.
I wonder how a balsa wood frame would hold up prolly a lot less flexable than plastic which only works great for my tiny brushed micros
I'll trade you one of those for a brand new 5 inch quad!!!!
Someone please make a GIF comprised of the 12:59-13:05 golden moments of this video. The integrity of this video though... shows and coins the phrase "The show must go on". Well played my friend.
Tell BlackJungle to stick to making FPV memes and just fly quads! Not design them!😂
It's like a Whoop that was given a set of dumbells and only did arm day xD
Love the fact that you gave the person a brand new 5 Inch Quad. 👍🏻
Strap a battery to the bottom. That top plate isnt adding any structure anyway!
Noooo! We need something to strap the battery to, Popsicle stick, Anything! I wanna see it fly so bad (pun not intended, but glad it worked out anyway)
All of the misconceptions on first glance are real 😂😂
Note: harder to tune, not impossible ;)
Good video mate 🫶
JB you should have crazy glued something onto the top plate just to get it in the air. A paint stick or two would probably have been an upgrade. If you do, myself and everyone else would love to see it fly. Please please please.
Haha the breaking that frame before the flight. That’s my usual luck right there. I was so looking forward to seeing that fly. That’s a cool vid as it’s amusing to see that sometimes it just goes wrong
If it snapped like that it isn't polycarbonate, most likely acrylic (plexiglas). If you're going to cut a polymer frame like that why not go just a little bit further and add support struts from the top plate to the arm to increase rigidity though?
Got to hand it to the brother, this has made me laugh. That's value, in itself!
Bro, you took an old video and updated it with nothing new. Today I learned JB clickbaited me.
i cant with joshua bardwells laugh
Is that a “The Critic” with Jon Lovitz reference?
You should have seen the tricopters we built with tail servos, 2 bladed slowfly props, and simonk ESC’s out of WOOD 🪵, using galvanized wire loops for soft mounts. And KK2 boards for tuning on the onboard LCD screen with 4 button controls. That was cutting edge of the hobby.
Wood is a pretty good material for a lot of things :)
Is not plastic... is the plastic from helicopter glass
Interesting. I have been considering cutting a 2.5 inch frame from 1/8 inch LEXAN plastic. The stuff is crystal clear and pretty strong. It is stronger and less brittle than Acrylic plastic. Plus, LEXAN is available in different thicknesses. Yeah, Botgrinder cut a clear yellow acrylic frame that busted into pieces on first crash.
Although some AIOs are rated for 55A and even 60A, I don't think that 16x16 stack is rated that high.
Can you review the hglrc sector x5 frame
@Joshua Bardwell - Is this finally a flyable bird that won't run on the Llama Race tune? I must know.
I've flown drones that I've printed out of TPU. I think this would have flown decently but shattered into a million pieces in a crash. A 3d printed petg top plate would have the most similar properties to the laser cut acrylic.
People underrate the xt plugs and all plugs for that matter
Agree. Although with time and wear plugs can loosen up and break up like in my geprc 4. Quick work with a thin screwdriver or a knife fixed this
Officially XT30 is only rated for 15A continuous.
@@techstuff6829 So probably better than the ESC you say? ;)
@@techstuff6829Yeah, but the fact that there is air moving past them makes a huge difference. If you strap your quad to the ground and leave it at full throttle, you can destroy connectors.
Cant see esc going on fire. Anyway, what was the builders/designers spec for battery? I have a feeling it was 2s due to all in one. It might just fly without frying esc with limited throttle I think
it's a meme shaped like a quad. Sometimes things are too "outside the box"
maybe a boxframe can make the material usable.... there are even plywood frame
I think a PLA frame would actually be an improvement in this one instance.
For sure, acrylic is way more brittle than PLA, plus you could more easily add rigidity with support ribs in a printed frame.
I still use a ZMR250 frame for my cinematography. Part of the frame in glass circuit board.
Cmon, JB send it!!
I really expected this took so long to post because you finally got a top plate! ohhh the disappointment ouchie muh soul writhes in pain!
Where's the affiliate link?
It's pretty though. Seriously, I would expect the ESC to melt by the time it gets off the ground, if it gets off the ground.
Glad you didn't delete this because I'm definitely going to throw my 2205 racer star motors in the bin on my new budget build 😅
Amazing no fly ,damn Bardwell 😄 i still love you 🤝👻
Many many many streams ago one of your plebs said they were gonna make one out of polycarbonate. Is this that exact drone from that user?
Give what the people want! 3D print a top plate and send it! We are dying to know how bad it will be!
Racestar motors... I have flown them quite a lot. They are definitely not great. After 300 to 400 batterypacks, they would vibrate so hard that the props would spontaneously desintegrate mid flight.
Built a similar one just a couple of weeks ago. It flies, but not great
You can make pretty much anything fly :)
May even be fun to try.
Sooo..I've been working on a wooden frame to reduce vibration and provide dampening oscillating effect when transmitted to the FC.. But what if there was a drone that were encased with carbon shielding over the the wood. Would it wood would?
Fly it! :)
Which 6s battery is best for freestyle? 1500 or 1300mah
5 inch=1300
larger than 5 inch=1500 or more
There are 60 amp all in oines that will run 6S.. Just FYI
16x16?
We all know about (including bardwell) the whoop size AIOs that will do that, the point is that a 16x16 won't.
Don't waste any more time on it. It will just keep breaking and there's no point to craft anything, that thing will break on first punch out
Flight footage?
Lol.. I still have some of those Racerstar motors on an old RaceFlight build that now just sits on a shelf representing a relic of the past. The Racerstar 2600kv 2205's spinning standard ol 5x4x3's with 4s were a screaming combo for their time.
This was very refreshing NGL
LEDs pointed towards the frame would be cool on this
I actually like that camera + vtx on my old toothpick quads . They have this ultra wide feeling lens.. and range wasn't exactly bad for 25mW 70 grams quad...
JB creates a new segment, rate my quad.
I liked the race star motors, i would order 22 of them and have a good working group of 4 and 1 maybe 2 back up motors.
I've laughed half of the video, lost it at the XT30, he' definitely did this on purpose as a joke 😁🤣
XT30 can handle the volts just fine, but not the amps. Ironically this might be better as a 6S build with throttle cap (assuming the AIO can take it).
That actually looks legit I want one
You have great videos and I trust your expertise and knowledge. I would like to buy parts you recommend on your website but many of the links are broken or out of date. Please update your site and maybe add the Nazgul ECO as an affordable quad.
Do they even make racerstar motors anymore?
Well that was a whole lot of nuthin!!! 😗i was looking forward to seeing you smashing it up.
The Critic 😂
I would think possibly a rib or 2 added in, like from the centre to the base of the arms for more stability?🤔 I'm no expert but that makes sense to me
3d print a top plate, Joshua! And send it, we want to see! 😂
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Did I miss something?? Where did you get this thing?
This is something the newbies at r/diydrones would post asking why it won't fly lmao
Just 3-d print a replacement PLA or even TPU top plate, lol, and go for it.
If they were going to use plastic, maybe polyphenyline sulfide might have been better? At least it would like like carbon! 🤣
Superglue that B and fly it sally
Those racerstars take me back. Actually pretty good but bent a few in minor crashes, for the price you couldn't beat them though.
If it had smaller motors it might work, because it wouldn’t flex anywhere near as much lol.
I had the same motors on my first 4s an its still punches to this day
Man or Mouse? Fly it! ;-)
The boys have never been so blue. Pls fly it to relieve tenderness.
Glad you got this guy a good drone to fly before dunking on his build 🌞
Ohh god it's acrylic, not even polycarbonate....
Go Black Jungle go.. it looks great, JB is cracking my up.. would look good on his wall.
how quickly it breaks JB ?
Superglue it back and go fly it!
It just need some smaller motors :D It might even survive landing :D
I wana see it flying !!
yeaaaaaaaa
Bottom mount a battery and send it no top plate
I think my build is not for everyone either, but it sure is fun. At least they hatted the audio in the maiden more than the drone.
Way back when I made a top plate out of plywood, served it's purpose for 2 and a half flights.
Wanted to see if hover!!!!
With a better esc i love it!!! Would be awesome just for a cruiser and showing off to people. Having delicate items os cool and the person that designed this props to him! I would buy it Long as functional and with analog 💯👌
You should glue some .05 cf sheet which you can cut with sheers to it to fix it and reinforce it, it'll fly fantastic. I bet that quad cost less than $75, good deal. I doubt that controller can take 4s, it should fly if the pids are correct on it.
I wonder how well it would serve as a frisbee 🤔
Nice video, different i wished to see if this could fly
