So, to say you’re too young to use retinol, that’s false, because it was made for acne and people with acne-prone skin 😊 Also, I’m not talking about prescription retinol. This just proves that the overpriced junk filled with fragrance doesn’t mean the more $$ the better, which is what I initially thought before educating myself on skincare ingredients. Key word affordable not cheap. it’s 36$ which compared to a lot of drugstore stuff is kind of expensive but it still isn’t too bad especially considering how much product you get and the quality it has. It’s SUPER cheap compared to most super high end products and honestly I think since cleansing is the most important step (besides maybe sunscreen) It’s worth it. Also, if you watch the other harpers bazaar skincare vids most celebs have like $200 products and stuff. The average person could afford $36 if it was really important to them, $200, maybe not. I probably wouldn’t pay more than 50 for an item but 36 doesn’t seem too bad.
Katie Chodosh right but most people wouldn’t buy them all at once, you get them over time. Maybe replace one or 2 items in your routine with some of his recommendations. Together it’s a bit pricy, but each product is individually affordable. Again, defintely not the cheapest thing ever, but compared to every other Harpars bazaar skin care routine I’ve seen, very affordable.

I love when he said once we know our own beauty, that's when the recovery became a lot easier. I will always remember that for my acne face. I always feel so shy when people see my face because of my acne, and that makes me feel so stress. Not true. I used to have really bad dark circles (both parents have them too and so did theirs). However, mine have basically gone after drinking water, apple cider vinegar and green tea and also cutting out sugar

emma edwards he mostly recommends cerave and the ordinary bcz they’re affordable and have pretty simple formulas but he usually likes products that have a mix of like a lot of rly good ingredients. They just tend to be more pricey and he doesn’t want his subscribers to think they can’t afford good skin
the reason why you never see those cheaper brands in skin care gurus routines is because there’s much better formulas in more expensive products that you don’t find in cheaper brands. It’s not that Cerave or the ordinary isn’t bad, it just that you can find wayyyyyy better formulations in more pricier products. I honestly wasn’t shocked tbh.

emma edwards he mostly recommends cerave and the ordinary bcz they’re affordable and have pretty simple formulas but he usually likes products that have a mix of like a lot of rly good ingredients. They just tend to be more pricey and he doesn’t want his subscribers to think they can’t afford good skin

the reason why you never see those cheaper brands in skin care gurus routines is because there’s much better formulas in more expensive products that you don’t find in cheaper brands. It’s not that Cerave or the ordinary isn’t bad, it just that you can find wayyyyyy better formulations in more pricier products. I honestly wasn’t shocked tbh.

I'm middle eastern and a lot of us have fair skin we also have a lot of desserts and hot sun here but in general we age pretty well so aging is always genetic unless you're always in the sun for very long and you have fair skin
