@@rtewytuik5 imo that’s one of its biggest strengths! Human After All is so cold and unforgiving and getting at least a small reprieve from that halfway through the album is like a breath of fresh air. It helps keep you in the moment and not give up. Emotion serves a very similar purpose but also works great as a closer, rather than more of an interlude like Make Love.
My favorite is veridis quo! It’s like a quiet journey, and is simultaneously relaxing, intriguing, sad, and peaceful. It really lets you see whatever emotion you want to find in that song. It’s perfect to study and sleep to!

My favorite DP song is Human after all. There’s an energy this song brings to me that no other song does. It’s minimalist yet complex at the same time. I love every instrument on this track. The synth, vocals, drums, every embarks together to create this conglomerate of overwhelming force. Also Alive 2007 did the song justice and made it amazing there too!
#1 for me is without a doubt Contact. My favorite music genre is electronic and Contact is easily the best electronic song ever made. The spacey atmosphere, the crushing synth sounds, the absolutely insane build up, the DRUMS, everything about it creates this pummeling adrenaline rush that doesn't stop until the song literally explodes. Also the NASA sample at the beginning talking about a giant unidentified object floating out in space, and then the outro with these horrific alien sounds do an amazing job of setting up the vibe of the track. It was SO fun dropping that 12'' in a top-40 club and watching the mixture of confusion and ecstasy roll across the dance floor. Pure bliss.
Excellent video man ! to me tho Contact is probably my favorite music they have made, it is just sooooo epic and the drop at the beggining just gives me chill everytime (plus the drum loop is godtier) ❤
I'm afraid Face to Face has topped my list too, from the countless samples you're none the wiser to hear - especially the Body and Soul bassline sample; sounds like how an old-anime machinegun rhythmically booming feels. -To the synth following one of the guitars like a subtle shadow... - and all that's not even mentioning the story. I learned instrument-to-instrument listening from DP, and Face to Face is where I honed the skill :)

Obviously straying a bit outside of pure Daft Punk, but I want to shoutout their THREE collaborations with Pharrell: • 2012: Daft Punk - “Get Lucky” feat. Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers • 2009: N.E.R.D. - “Hypnotize U” (co-written and co-produced by Daft Punk) • 2003: Daft Punk - “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger (The Neptunes Remix)” Maybe not as… uhh, curious or thought-provoking(?) as regular Daft Punk-or as stylish and clean as regular Pharrell-but all really fun tracks, I think. Definitely worth a listen if you haven’t heard any of these before!
To me for some reason in Voyager where the drums and it just fades to the synth or whatever it is, reminds me so much of a song off of the Berserk soundtrack, I can’t remember which one but it gives me that vibe
VERY GOOD LIST! My favorite album of all time is Discovery, also i think "Something About Us" is the best song ever. It gave me chills down my head when you put this in #2
Please make your video essay about Interstella 5555. After listening to the discovery album growing up and watching Interstella 5555 at an older age was a crazy emotional experience. I would love to hear what you have to say about it!
my favourite album from Daft Punk has to be Human After All, since I personally think it fits the vibe that Daft Punk have been going with for a very long time: robots using synthesizers to make music for humans, showing that they're human too.
9:50 man digital love i think is the best song in discovery, in the alive 2021 after a short silence the song plays and i think it touches everyone's heart with it's intro, and i love the part where it gets quiet before "why don't you play the game" and i feel like it's even better in the alive 2021 remix where it stays in this silent part until burnin's zips restart the beat
wait please do that video essay on interstella 5555. I just recently rewatched it after many years and I was obsessed with it when I was younger. I have never heard anyone else bring it it up and I would love to know your thoughts on it.

Obviously straying a bit outside of pure Daft Punk, but I want to shoutout their THREE collaborations with Pharrell:
• 2012: Daft Punk - “Get Lucky” feat. Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers
• 2009: N.E.R.D. - “Hypnotize U” (co-written and co-produced by Daft Punk)
• 2003: Daft Punk - “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger (The Neptunes Remix)”
Maybe not as… uhh, curious or thought-provoking(?) as regular Daft Punk-or as stylish and clean as regular Pharrell-but all really fun tracks, I think. Definitely worth a listen if you haven’t heard any of these before!
What about Gust of Wind off Pharell's GIRL album?
@@Valhalla05 Oh shiiiiit, I didn’t know about this one!!!
CANT WAIT
I didn’t realize other people liked face to face as much as I do
To me for some reason in Voyager where the drums and it just fades to the synth or whatever it is, reminds me so much of a song off of the Berserk soundtrack, I can’t remember which one but it gives me that vibe
LOSE YOURSELF TO DANCE AT 36 IS CRIMINALLL
With peace and love, Touch should be #1. I have WEPT to that song.
another day asking for a NAV discography ranking, love the content
MF DOOM would be grape istg
what I've realized is that even their worst songs are very replayable (not counting the interludes)
I’ve watched your Kendrick and Tyler videos, I’m convinced you just add in some insane takes to spice things up a bit,, Da Funk at 49 is crazy
Only one of these lists where I agree with almost every take. I agree with something about us definitely being their best song
In no particular order Around the World, High Life, Da Funk, Voyager, Robot Rock, and Technologic are my favorites
touch is one of the best songs of all time
My favorite is Instant Crush, also my all time favorite song of all time
9:50 man digital love i think is the best song in discovery, in the alive 2021 after a short silence the song plays and i think it touches everyone's heart with it's intro, and i love the part where it gets quiet before "why don't you play the game" and i feel like it's even better in the alive 2021 remix where it stays in this silent part until burnin's zips restart the beat
I hope you do Denzel eventually
wait please do that video essay on interstella 5555. I just recently rewatched it after many years and I was obsessed with it when I was younger. I have never heard anyone else bring it it up and I would love to know your thoughts on it.
Verdis quo at 23 goes crazy but within at 42 goes CRAZIER
