for me Garden Shed will always be on top, i relate to it it helped me a lot when i was going through my self discovery phase and it just feels warm to listen to, Tyler and his music in general helped me through those times and had me accept who i am and i will always be thankfull to him for makeing such art in music
the "want me to do it over?" line is actually a TRIPPLE antandra. The album is a musical loop so it's also a reference to how the character continutes this cycle of falling in and out of love. The entire album is a musical loop too. Igor's theme starts with a sinth and the last track on the album ends with a similar sinth. the only difference is the one at the end is musically inconclusive and the one at the start would actually be conclusive making the loop.
The Thank You part of Gone Gone/ thank you is a cover of fragile by tatsuro yamashita. The contrast between the 2 is lovely. While Thank you is somber and reflective and has him showing his scares from the relashonship fragile is a 180 with yamashita talking about how he will never have to feel alone again. Ones love is lost ones love is gained. So great
I personally think that new magic wand is Tyler’s best song, because of the meaning it has in igor’s story. It also goes unbelievably hard. And his rapping on it doesn’t get enough recognition.

If im being totally honest Willshire is one of my absolute favorite Tyler songs because its so raw and emotional, but also is very deep. It reminds me a lot of Sing about me, Im dying of thirst, by Kendrick Lamar and Runway by Kanye west. I think these longer songs are so meaningful because they really are a look inside the artists personal lives aswell as beautiful examples of story telling. Not only that but Willshire is so much more deep when you realize that Tyler did the entire song in one take, giving the entire trajectory of the song such a more vulnerable persona.

the "want me to do it over?" line is actually a TRIPPLE antandra. The album is a musical loop so it's also a reference to how the character continutes this cycle of falling in and out of love. The entire album is a musical loop too. Igor's theme starts with a sinth and the last track on the album ends with a similar sinth. the only difference is the one at the end is musically inconclusive and the one at the start would actually be conclusive making the loop.

The Thank You part of Gone Gone/ thank you is a cover of fragile by tatsuro yamashita. The contrast between the 2 is lovely. While Thank you is somber and reflective and has him showing his scares from the relashonship fragile is a 180 with yamashita talking about how he will never have to feel alone again. Ones love is lost ones love is gained. So great
I personally think that new magic wand is Tyler’s best song, because of the meaning it has in igor’s story. It also goes unbelievably hard. And his rapping on it doesn’t get enough recognition.

6:08 since my first listen i always took pigs as more special than just the way you describe it, if you really listen to it, especially in the beginning and end, you’ll see what i mean. it’s telling a story and represents what’s behind tyler’s anger well
To me it’s Wolfs version of Sarah, which imo Sarah has a better beat but lyrically I’m more likely to listen to Pigs over Sarah. Both of which I appreciate for how they contribute to each respective albums world building

If im being totally honest Willshire is one of my absolute favorite Tyler songs because its so raw and emotional, but also is very deep. It reminds me a lot of Sing about me, Im dying of thirst, by Kendrick Lamar and Runway by Kanye west. I think these longer songs are so meaningful because they really are a look inside the artists personal lives aswell as beautiful examples of story telling. Not only that but Willshire is so much more deep when you realize that Tyler did the entire song in one take, giving the entire trajectory of the song such a more vulnerable persona.
