also the end of that song leads into igor's theme making the album a loop showing that feelings for a person don't truly go away hence, "EXACTLY WHAT YOU RUN FROM YOU END UP CHASING"
especially because musically it makes a circle with IGOR's THEME! The final note on the album doesn't resolve, but when you play igor's theme after the first note resolves the melody, creating a musical circle- also the lyrics infer that tyler (or igor) is bound to start the cycle all over again. Tyler really is a goat
Wolf is the best music immature Tyler made IMO, and it conceptually sets the tone for a lot of what he did later once he grew up a little. Rusty, answer, Awkward, 48, Colossus, Campire, Bimmer, IFHY, and Lone all hold up really well with his new stuff.
Honestly, the one Tyler song that actually gives me chills is I DON’T LOVE YOU ANYMORE, the song stays on the same flow only to get more intense and the bass literally runs chills down my spine it really shows how much this relationship affected Tyler. As underrated as it is, it still manages to be my favorite Tyler song
i totally agree with everything about this video it was sick gone gone thank you is also my favorite igor song, it feels underapreciated compared to other songs on the album just saw tyler 2 weeks ago at acl, so good

Same exact list lmao but I keep flower boy #1, a bit biased because it was the first time I had such an amazing album experience. Though tbh sometimes I think wolf might be better, I definitely listen to it more these days
My rank for his albums: 1. IGOR 2. CMWYGL 3. Flower Boy 4. Wolf 5. Cherry Bomb (but I do gotta say that this album is beautiful instrumentally and IMO this is the album where his authentic sound started to develop) 6. Bastard 7. Goblin I also think we need to give him mad credit where credit is due on some of the amazing singles he’s put out (Okra, Potato Salad, Fuck It, Gelato, Tip-Toe, Bronco, etc.) too. Also, that lil EP he made back in 2018 for the Grinch movie fucking SLAPS, and has awesome production and great features. And truthfully, how dope would a Tyler + Santigold album be? I just think they work really well together.
So obviously a Tyler/Santigold album would be fucking amazing….. but I just thought of something… what about an Earl/Solange album????? 👀 👀 It’s hard to say which would be the better album.
I discovered Tyler in 2019 because of See You Again and New Magic Wand. At first i tought it was cool but couldnt get into it. 4 years has passed and now he's my favourite artist and I cant stop listening to him
Bastard, Wolf, Goblin, Cherry Bomb is my ranking for my favorites. Bastard gives me the most memorable nostalgic feeling it takes me back to being a teen 10 years ago when life felt so different than now it almost feels like two different realms.
I listened to Igor at right time in my life the album was set for. I had developed feelings for a friend who already had a bf and I didn’t know how to deal with these new feelings. And suddenly my he just stopped wanting to interact with me. And that’s when my mood swings got to the worst it’s ever been in my life, my emotions had control over my body. And I went through all of the same emotions that Tyler sang in Igor.
dude you are great. your video explaining the iceberg had a major part in me getting into tyler back in may, and here i am 6 months later singing every song that comes on at the top of my lungs
I broke up with my ex (we've had a relationship that lasted 4 years) and in the year before the breakup my mom died of cancer, I heard tyler but i wasn't a fan since i didn't even like rap and hip hop or even soul (at the time). Flower Boy is a personal favorite. I’ve been looking back on what i’ve done in the past, who i’ve hurt, and what my life amounts to now, and that it’s okay that things aren’t the way they were before. This album really helped me with these revelations.
IGOR (9/10) [smooth af] Flower Boy (8.5/10) [break through] CMIYGL (8/10) [wilshire diminishes replay value] Wolf (7/10) [Banger, mixtape format-ish] Cherry Bomb (6/10) [first 6 tracks are on fire] Bastard (need more listens) Goblin (4.5/10) [edgy character & production flaws]

The thing i didn’t like about the grammy performance of new magic wand was that for that song to work you need som T H I C K bass but it just wasn’t there (great vid btw)
as a true tyler fan not to be a gatekeeper or say that your opinion isnt valid but putting goblin last is a crime. Honestly one of the more underrated tyler albums and an underrated album in general. 8/10 and a message that feels very raw and real to what tyler was experiencing at the time. as someone who has experienced a lot during their later teenage years its very relatable as well. @@gieria7433 I’m ngl I honestly love every single Tyler album also as odd future and there albums and assmilk by Tyler and earl one of my favorite old songs from them aswell as couch
I was really depressed and discovered Tyler. My favorite album was and still is Flower Boy, and hearing any part of that album is so nostalgic. It not only reminds me of my depression, but also how far I've come mentally, as I am no longer depressed and am currently happier than ever before. Flower Boy is just the perfect piece of art to summarize who I am honestly.
Man I was there to see Tyler at Lollapolooza this year; fuck dude, it was one of the best performances a person could see, ESPECIALLY when the IGOR portion was being performed. New Magic Wand in concert had the crowd feeling a different typa way; especially with how close I was to the front.
swear to god bro i was there and it was the best day of my life. got to see giveon, roddy rich, and fucking tyler. damn bro i still miss the crowd shit was crazy
I can’t believe how little love there is for Massa. Introspective, great beat, awesome bars, some of Tyler’s best rapping and lyricism. Easily in the top 3 from CMIYGL imo.
When I first played the album I completely overlooked massa and didn’t play it again, until a couple weeks ago I suddenly felt like playing it since I had forgotten it’s sound. It’s currently my favourite song :) everything about it is chef’s kiss
I agree with you on cherry bomb. I never really understood the hate and I definitely feel it was ahead of it’s time in terms of what people call nowadays “aesthetic.”
Man I love KEEP DA O’S. I think it’s a really fun song and also I really do agree that without cherry bomb there wouldn’t be FB and CMIYGL but especially IGOR
Personal ranking 1: IGOR (10/10) 2: Flower Boy (10/10) 3: Call Me If You Get Lost (9/10) 4: Cherry Bomb (8/10) 5: Wolf (8/10) 6: Bastard (7/10) 7: Goblin (5/10)
I discovered tyler in 2012 and never stopped listening to him , i remember hearing the first odd future tapes album when tyler called himself ace the creator crazy how far hes come
My personal favorite album from tyler is wolf. The story and everything from it makes it one of the greatest albums of all time imo. Igor was what got me into tyler and it is my second favorite album from him. Imo all of tylers albums are a 8+ with cmiygl, igor, and wolf all being 11+/10. Tyler is my favorite artist of all time with kanye at a close second. i could go hours talking about him but thats what i think.
Igor was literally capturing all my emotions it was amazing it put me thru so much emotions it hit home so fucking hard and if you were listened to the lyrics and the titles of the songs you can easily try to figure out the story
I started catching feelings for this girl right when IGOR came out. From the beginning to the end of the relationship I was relating any song off IGOR to the state of our friendship and eventual relationship. We dated for 2 years and bonded over our mutual love for Tyler, eventually seeing him at Lolla in 2021. Fast forward to now and I can't even listen to a song on the album without thinking about her or the specific part of our relationship we were in corresponding to the song. IGOR is still my #1 pick though, just has a lot of sad/bad nostalgia for me. Thank you for listening to my TEDTalk.
The slander kills me....the album is a little messy mix wise and the pacing is off by a bit...BUT THAT WAS INTENTIONAL. And setting that aside, the album has some crazy good songs. Deathcamp, Pilot, find your wings, Run, Okaga, Brown stains...these are good songs bro!
@@sleep6837 too trueeee also ppl need to put more respect on that title track. it's noisy and boisterous but it pulls it back to reveal some absolutely beautiful layering
Cherry bomb is easily my #1 the transitions between the songs, especially on the physical version of "Blow my load" into "2Seater" will always give me goose bumps Loved the list tho! :)
my personal favorite is pilot, when the beat and tone shifts to that nice flowerboy sounding music you can definitely tell that is what inspired flowerboy and igor

Flower Boy is just the perfect piece of art to summarize who I am honestly.
ong i feel like flower boy helped a lot of ppl in that way including myself
Im glad you’re doing better man
W. Flower boy isn't his best but it's still so good. It has the best vibe out if all of them by far
@@wagturbo thanks man, anonymous support like this honestly does more than people think :)
Same man. i started off with Goblin shit was insane
I am appalled that “Rolls Royce pull up, black boy hop out” wasn’t considered as one of Tyler’s best lyrical pieces.
How about “you look malnourished”?

Man I was there to see Tyler at Lollapolooza this year; fuck dude, it was one of the best performances a person could see, ESPECIALLY when the IGOR portion was being performed. New Magic Wand in concert had the crowd feeling a different typa way; especially with how close I was to the front.
I wish I would have went to that one. that intro gave me chills
swear to god bro i was there and it was the best day of my life. got to see giveon, roddy rich, and fucking tyler. damn bro i still miss the crowd shit was crazy
Cherry Bomb will always be my favorite Tyler's album, I really became fan with this project
Didn't know people hate it
It's because some of the tracks on there are poorly mastered and the sounds don't balance each other out on some songs.
@@ejayemike6541 always thought That chaotic mastering was a part of the mood/project on this
That’s one of my favorites too. I legit know all the lyrics to every song lol.
@@MarciaRain you know the lyrics of the title track CHERRY BOMB?
cherry bomb wasnt the best, but most of tyler's best songs are on it lol
I can’t believe how little love there is for Massa. Introspective, great beat, awesome bars, some of Tyler’s best rapping and lyricism. Easily in the top 3 from CMIYGL imo.
When I first played the album I completely overlooked massa and didn’t play it again, until a couple weeks ago I suddenly felt like playing it since I had forgotten it’s sound. It’s currently my favourite song :) everything about it is chef’s kiss
i love it
One of my favourite songs ever
I LOVE MASSA OMG. literally my fav song in CMIYGL
Literally Massa is soo good
I agree with you on cherry bomb. I never really understood the hate and I definitely feel it was ahead of it’s time in terms of what people call nowadays “aesthetic.”
its really similar to yeezus in that sense
real@@drewsome
Man I love KEEP DA O’S. I think it’s a really fun song and also I really do agree that without cherry bomb there wouldn’t be FB and CMIYGL but especially IGOR
LOOK UFO BOW LAND
SKKRT LANDED ON THE ASS AND
ADIDAS LEAF IN THE GRASSLAND
MY FINGER GOT A YELLOW PAC-MAN
I absolutely love how in Massa he starts of rapping more quiet and then gradually across the song it gets louder and louder
Flower boy changed my whole perspective on music. That album will always hold a special place in my heart ❤️
My personal ranking:

uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhh
I totally agree
Wolf being that low is crazy
I started catching feelings for this girl right when IGOR came out. From the beginning to the end of the relationship I was relating any song off IGOR to the state of our friendship and eventual relationship. We dated for 2 years and bonded over our mutual love for Tyler, eventually seeing him at Lolla in 2021. Fast forward to now and I can't even listen to a song on the album without thinking about her or the specific part of our relationship we were in corresponding to the song. IGOR is still my #1 pick though, just has a lot of sad/bad nostalgia for me. Thank you for listening to my TEDTalk.
I have a emotional attachment to "ARE WE STILL FRIENDS"
Here’s my listing:
Igor…
I’ve only fully listened to Igor
same but like i'm a sort of a new fan cuz i knew a few of tyler's songs like 2 years ago but fully started listening to him late may this year
Update?
cherry bomb is so underrated fr
i fuckin adore cherry bomb dude NO SLANDER ALLOWED
he has both the best and the worst songs in that album and most people just associate it to his worst XD
@@suyashdate5662 ikr??? It's like intentional chaos the first half, but the end brings it all in and gives it a beautiful messiness.
Cherry bomb is easily my #1 the transitions between the songs, especially on the physical version of "Blow my load" into "2Seater" will always give me goose bumps Loved the list tho! :)
Over Igor?
@@Discordkitten2 yeah… Igor is easily #2 and they’re very close in ranking in my mind but something about cherry bomb really speaks to me :)
my personal favorite is pilot, when the beat and tone shifts to that nice flowerboy sounding music you can definitely tell that is what inspired flowerboy and igor
