Great video, much prefer seeing the work in progress rather than before and after!! Understandable it takes alot of time to record and edit. Keep up the great work!! Happy Christmas Guys!
This is awesome..! I remember coming to visit your workshop to get work done and MOT. Glad to see still lots of work..After 2 year out and Ignis ownership looking for a mk2 here in Netherlands..Learning how to weld in case of future problems..Helps a lot👊
Very nice video guys. Glad you made it. I began cutting mine a week ago. Fortunately not requiring arch work just outer skin and inner sill at the rear. Very happy to see you guys cut near the swage line like I have 😂
I have a 57 plate Icon and all four wheel arches are beginning to bubble again! At what point does it become more economic just to replace the panel completely? I reckon I have around £2k worth of work or more on a vehicle valued around £2k.
I'm surprised you don't use an auto VIP when repairing your MX5 . This method of tilting the car would be perfect for you and make your work so much easier
The auto VIP bolts to the vehicles hubs . I use mine regularly to weld sills . It's presents a really convenient angle to weld and prevents the operative being showered in sparks . I can send you photos if you want to see it in action
one of the best videos yet, spot on
Very clever lad Roy great video looking forward to part 2.
Thank goodness my MX5 has had a sheltered life, it's still very clean and solid underneath. Super cool video, thanks.
Thanks a lot for this series of video. Did that last summer. Up to this stage, we did nothing wrong...

Wow wish I could hammer like Roy 😁 This is a great video, thanks for sharing your skills and methods guys.
he is fast on the hammer!!
It'd be really cool to see a video of ways you have to prevent this corrosion coming back in the future; cavity waxing etc.
We can't give everything away ;-)
Looks good to see the method behind the repairs... How's Roy's new rear diff behaving?
Diff is holding up well more power to come soon

Gloves! I can't believe you don't wear any. I use close fitting leather ones for any work like this. Edit, I just typed that as he cut himself!

That sort of thing is only really suitable when a car is striped down to a bare shell
