    Your haphazardous style comes off as very genuine and fun.
    Plus, this piece turned out way more awesome than I was expecting when the inks first went down.
    I have Isopropanol and mica pigments so I think I'll have to give this ago.
    Thanks

    I know this is an older video but i curious why you made alcohol inks but ended up using a premade brand? Did you use the diy ones and i missed that?

      Oh no, I still make them! There is a video on my channel, click videos and it's about two years old? Because I only use the sharpies for dynamic sprays and manipulation, I wont have to make more for another two years, so a wonderful four year investment! ruclips.net/video/-UKk68fdo-8/видео.html

    Can you use these Mica Alcohol Inks in resin too?

    • @DineseBeckert
      @DineseBeckert  4 года назад +1

      Absolutely, they work beautifully! Somewhere in my pile of videos, I showcase them for coasters. Perhaps this weekend I will make a fresh video, start with making the colors with the powders and end the video making the coasters! It sounds😜🤗🎨 like fun!

    This is great! Just mica powders and 91% alcohol (or 99%) ?? YAY! btw, I always spray alcohol on paper to make bubbles, Could you just confirm that is all there is to making mica alcohol inks please? aloha

    • @DineseBeckert
      @DineseBeckert  4 года назад

      99% is awesome too! Hard to see a difference but I have found a supplier and do use 99% exclusively. This method also works with all types of expoxy fine powder colors! Thanks for the comment and keep doing art! #ArtForArtSake!!🤘🤗

    Just a caution about the safety of your technique. After having read frequent warnings about NOT using alcohol in spray form, because you should not breathe in the airborne droplets, it is unsettling to see you doing it in your video. Even more horrifying is watching you using your open flame with the bottles of alcohol ink so close to the area you are heating with the flame. All you need is to accidentally drop the flame among the bottles and you could have a nasty little fire. Please, please take adequate safety precautions, or warn your viewers of the danger of what you are demonstrating.

      Thanks for your concerns. I am not teaching anyone how to do anything. I am making stuff and sharing. In the art community, alcohol inks are applied in many, many different ways and spraying is a commonly utilized technique and there are a zillion colors folks could buy in spray form, I just happen to make my own.
      Anyone wanting to venture into alcohol as a medium needs to do their homework and keep themselves safe. I, frankly, don't take precautions, again..I am not here to teach technique, just show you what I made! Thanks for the input! #ArtForArtSake!🤘
