Just some (hopefully helpful) tips! If you cut the plastic side of the "ink cartridge", it will soak out faster. I also put the tips of the marker in the bottle too!
I helped a friend do this. We didn't like the pale color from the pink marker so I stuck a yellow in it. It turned out to be the prettiest color of all of them! Please try doing a video on mixing the colors. I wonder if blue and green would give us an aqua? Have fun!
Or go to 5 below and buy the $5 alchohol ink art kit. You get red, blue, yellow and a clear glitter. You can mix to make any color u.der the rainbow, add some glitter to make colored glitter Ink. Comes with a decent water brush, a mixing palette and a canvas. It's a awesome value for what u get and is wayyy more concentrated so a little goes a long way!
The colors are pretty but very pale, to me. I’m curious if these would have been much more pigmented if the ink sticks were completely opened up before being put into the alcohol.
Have you used 99% alcohol and printer ink? I found color lasts and if you're using ink to paint or pour., the 99% flows nice. Hard to find at times. i buy it online.
Wow! Nice!! Ty! I’ll hv to ck out my local stores for Alcohol.. Quick Question. You said the alcohol spritz will bring the colors out? I hv the Piñata inks from Amazon last week.. I’m testing the eggs out on a few candle glass jars before I do my wine bottles and turn them into these for my kitchen as a Decor quick question wanted to know how do you make the colors pop and give it that shine once you’re done using your alcohol inks on glass if you know...thank you so much great tutorial thank you! Inks can be so expensive ☺️☺️☺️😆♥️♥️
You seem to be doing this the hard way. Take the nib off and put it into the container. Take off the other end and push the ink tube out. Place the ink tube into an empty container, you can use a dropper to put ink into the top end. As you drip the alcohol through it takes the color with it. It’s a less messy way, too. The cheap markers don’t have enough color for my taste. Sharpies are better.
That definitely sounds like it would make a way bigger mess than this way. Yes, of course sharpie brand markers make more color dense inks buuuut then that would defeat the whole purpose of making this a DOLLAR STORE video LOL Sharpies are way more expensive tham $1!
Summer removes the ink sticks. Once you have the desired color you want pull them out. You can squeeze the sticks with tweezers to get all the good stuff out. Thank you for your question 😀
I tested out cause I saw a few videos to do this and I used to markers for half the bottles to be really pigmented and I did a little mold of book from hocus pocus and used my brown one and it legit reacted with the resin and turned green. And I did a maroon one and it faded and looks like a washed out very faint wine color. So I don’t think you can. Well I didn’t have a good outcome but I saw one where this girl did coasters with hers and it came out great so could just be the permanent markers from filler tree were shit 🤷🏻♀️
@@LittleLeeandRose I'm honestly not sure, Dollar tree is the BEST for this stuff. I made 15 colors @ 2 per bottle. I'm making another cup soon and I'll try it again now that they've sat for a month

Remember, the marker nib also holds a lot of ink! Pull that out and put it in your alcohol too!!
just a note the dollar tree is now $1.25 inflation everywhere! LOL
lol true and now its gone up to $1.50 .. I'm crying 😉💕
You should try leaving the flower leaves in an alcohol solution ,this should extract the flower dye and give you a free natural ink.
I’m a newbie to the resin world
- AND a new subbie 😊
THANK YOU for this video 🙏
Alcohol ink that I made I left it til the next week. I even put the writing point in the bottle too
This will come in handy...when I will be able to find alcohol.
i know Im kinda randomly asking but do anyone know of a good website to watch newly released movies online ?

@Abraham Rhys yup, have been watching on flixzone for months myself :D
@Abraham Rhys Thank you, signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there =) I appreciate it !
@Austin Otto glad I could help =)
Split the plastic covering . You can also add the tips!

You get better colors if you cut the plastic thats on the ink pads when you take them out of the markers... Great job keep it up!!
Thanks so much! Can’t wait for the tutorial showing how to use these inks 😊
So, I could do a pour with these? Like, in the painting with alcohol groups? Brilliant. subscribing
how awesome, I was wondering how to do this cheaper till I get the grasp of them
How did I not think to go to dollar tree! Thank you for this! Genius!
I was looking how to make ink and you gave me the answer.

I'll have to try this I'm new and still practicing thanks for hacks
Very great idea! Will these work on canvas?
I love your Tutorials
Can you use mica powder mixed in the alcohol to make alcohol ink?
Yes you can I sell it and make it 😁 😉 you can make stronger color using mica or pig ent powder
@@loveinspirescreativity4199 same process? How much powder?
Great video! Thank you so much!
What does bleach spay do or what do you use it for?
Christina Kay I would like to know that myself! (:
So, what would happen if I used like say crayola markers? They arent permanent. Do you absolutely HAVE to use permanent?
Thank you very helpful !!!! Just bought all supplies .
Can you use this in resin ?
How do you make white?
The colors are pretty but very pale, to me. I’m curious if these would have been much more pigmented if the ink sticks were completely opened up before being put into the alcohol.
When you cut the purple markers, I went "OH NOOOOO! Your white rug!" then I realized you weren't using it about the time you said that. LOL
Are you in Canada or USA?
How big are the little travel bottles your using?
how brave of you to use the colors on top of white fur.. i would never😂
I'm just watching this and thinking the same thing!! 😋💕
I like it and i try this. Any perticular mesurement for alcohol ink dear.
Will it work with Metallic sharpies?
Can you use food colors
Can you use the 70% alcohol?
91% or 99% is supposedly the best to use.
Lovely knowing we can use $🌳 markers!! Are you able to make one in WHITE, per chance? Thank you so much sweetheart. 😊
Yes every store I have is out of white!
Great video! Thank you!
Have you used 99% alcohol and printer ink? I found color lasts and if you're using ink to paint or pour., the 99% flows nice. Hard to find at times. i buy it online.
Thank you!!
Do you have to use 91% alcohol? I can only find 70%
Unfortunately no. It needs to be 91% or more. I buy mine on amazon. Here is our shopping link www.amazon.com/shop/littleleeandrose
Will this work with dried out markers?
Also what was meant by adding tips? Tips to the bottles? How do you do that?
I skipped through the video so I'm not 100% sure what you're referencing, but you can pull the tips/nibs off the markers and put them in as well.
can you use 71 percent cannot find 91 percent
Can you use 70% alcohol? It seems to be all I can find lately.

I have white sharpies ~ can I make white alcohol Ink with these??
Can you do a video with bleach effects??
Alcohol like sergical sprit or another thing..

Christene Steffens sure!
I definitely would love to see an alcohol mug 💙💙
To me these colors look very dull. I'll use Sharpies instead. I think the Dollar tree markers are not great quality.
Do you leave the stick inside or you remove it later?
Summer removes the ink sticks. Once you have the desired color you want pull them out. You can squeeze the sticks with tweezers to get all the good stuff out. Thank you for your question 😀
Carol Jeuck thqnk you for replying
I cant find 96% i only can find 70% will this work?
*inkwell is the word you were looking for.
Thanks cool!

Tanya Keener thanks for the reply
I did this and mine didn't work with most of the colors
Janaea Edwards really? What brand markers did you use?
@@LittleLeeandRose I'm honestly not sure, Dollar tree is the BEST for this stuff. I made 15 colors @ 2 per bottle. I'm making another cup soon and I'll try it again now that they've sat for a month
Janaea Edwards I have always used dollar store permanent markers and have had no issues.
It does work with the markers you can also add pigment powders and shake it
Thanks Summer Noel. I appreciate your videos.
your dollar tree sells stuff for two dollars? wow
THere are all sorts of dollar stores.
Thanks Summer
I’m so disturbed that she said “two dollars at the dollar tree”....... dollar tree has no right selling things for over $2 , I’m hurt
They have a lot of items over $1 in California Dollar tree
You didn't get those markers at the Dollar Tree for $2.00. The Dollar Tree doesn't sell anything over a dollar.
There are some dollar tree plus stores that sell stuff for over a $1
@@sinfulangel37 Never heard of it.
Just because you have never heard of something doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
She bought two packs, you can see when she breaks open the markers, she's doing two at a time of the same color. Two packs=two dollars
Can you use this in resin?
