Your tutorials are so incredibly helpful to someone like me who is just starting with tumblers and trying to figure all this out! I can't thank you enough for all the information you share! You're an amazing amazing woman!
I found your videos yesterday and I’ve binge watched. They are the best I’ve seen on this tumbler phenomenon. I really like that there’s not a lot of chit chat and you move right along. You are easy to understand and your extra tips are appreciated. Your tumblers are beautiful. I also love the glimpses of your personal life: wife, mother of triplets, hairdresser, crafter! Girl you rock! I don’t know if I’ll ever try the tumblers......toying with trying for gifts but I’ll continue to follow you.
Sharon H Plamondon Oh please try! You will love it! This is a great tutorial to follow because you can use inexpensive cups! I am just editing a tutorial on making a cup start to finish with dollar store supplies (all except the epoxy and safety equipment)
Love your videos. Each one is very informative and explained thoroughly with lots of tips on what to do and what not to do and why. You're one of my fave tutorial ladies so thanks for sharing your vast knowledge with us.
1st time hearing of this method was always curious how it was done I wanna try this! Great timing to with your video! I just clicked off of a 48 min video. The girl was 5min in & was just chatting away (about nothing) I couldn’t keep my focus 🙄 came to your video & I say Job well done

First let me say that your videos are the best out there. My granddaughters & I are thinking of starting a small business doing tumblers and I was wondering if you would do a video on the basics of pricing the various types of tumblers...we live in the heart of the Midwest....Iowa...and we haven't a clue as to how to price our tumblers.
val phil Nope! The condensation is just on the outside. Water on the outside doesn’t mess with epoxy (luckily or this wouldn’t work at all because you wouldn’t be able to wash it. If water gets behind the epoxy it’s because there wasn’t a good seal between the epoxy and cup. But if that’s the case it’s doomed regardless because you can’t wash it or get it wet at all
Love this!!! My question is if the cup is squeezed too hard will the epoxy seal crack? I’ve purchased these cups before and was able to break them by squeezing them...... I would love for this to work because I’m thinking cups for all my sons classmates!!!
I absolutely love all your videos!! I'm gathering all the materials, then watch the videos about 3 more times. Can you do one with wine glasses....Please:)
We never put plastic cups in the dishwasher so this is perfect. No worries of heat messing with the epoxy. Much cheaper than metal tumblers too, though they don’t keep ice quite as cold. How do you wash the silicone brushes though?
epoxy won't stick to anything silicone so just pop off the epoxy once it's dried or wipe with a paper towel/baby wipe immediately after you are finished
Is the epoxy safe through the plastic since it is not double walled? Not only for consumption but with the condensation from the cold liquid will it breakdown the epoxy?
I did a comic book page on a plastic bottle and to me the epoxy still makes water smell funny. Although I put it top shelf dishwasher and it melted because I had heat dry on so that may just be the smell I’m smelling.
yes, she only uses FDA compliant epoxy witch is safe once fully cured and no, epoxy is never dishwasher safe, don't soak it, and don't leave it in a hot car.... standard practice for all things epoxied

you wait until you can grab the cup without leaving finger prints, this is to ensure that you have mixed your epoxy correctly. Yes, you sand if needed, wash with a little Dawn soap and water then apply your epoxy
Katrina Hardeman every time you put epoxy on you remove it. If you don’t the epoxy cures over it and it is hard to remove! Just reapply before the next layer
Veronica Ortiz each epoxy has a different cure rate (so check manufacturers guidelines) but most epoxy brands fully cure in 72 hours. However after about 12-14 hrs it is hard to the touch

Taygan Sepulveda you don’t have to but it makes it look nicer when you look down inside and it helps you get a batter look, makes the glitter look like it covers better
Thank you so much for this video! I tried the hang method a week ago on this same water bottle and it came out sooo bad because I realize now it was because it was too much epoxy and it started dripping. My question for you is can you pop microbubbles with alcohol? I've heard you can pop them by spritzing the cup with alcohol after if you don't have a heat tool.
Karita Drake yes you can but I find heat to work better. You can take a cheap lighter and run it across the top of the surface if you don’t have a torch
she only uses FDA compliant epoxy which is safe once fully cured.... make sure you are mixing your epoxy correctly and you are getting all the micro bubbles out with a torch or heat gun (it will be cloudy/not shiny because of bubbles if you don't)

pricing varies widely according to your economic are and supply cost, it would be impossible to map out a pricing point for every area...

you wait until you can grab the cup without leaving finger prints, this is to ensure that you have mixed your epoxy correctly. Yes, you sand if needed, wash with a little Dawn soap and water then apply your epoxy
Can you do the hang method with epoxy mixed with acrylic paint?
yes, don't add too much paint or your epoxy will get stringy

michaela milliken i bought some at dollar tree.
Have you ever used acrylic paint on you tumblers? Is it to thick?
it will work fine, I have done it when I am unable to spray paint
Do u have to spray paint the cup or is that optional
adding a base spray similar to the color of your glitter will help your glitter stand out more
How do you clean your brush?
Epoxy doesn’t stick to silicone, so it should just wipe off. Anything left can dry and then flake off after.
I’m a newbie also
So how much would u sell a cup for like this ???
Is it true at applying epoxy to plastic makes it toxic? I read this in another group post. They recommended not to use epoxy on the .99 cent water bottles from Walmart. TIA

Kelly Krohe you can use any stickers! I find great ones at the dollar store or Walmart. Hobby Lobby and Michaels have a TON

Valery Lopez I have been doing this for a long time and have used numerous epoxies and have never had an issue with it.

Connie Tang yes you can but will most likely need two coats and the chunky glitter won’t lay flat with modpodge so it will take more epoxy to cover
