I’m a goofball! It comes out for sure in this tutorial! Have you been wanting to try fabric on your tumbler but you are too intimidated! Then definitely check out this tutorial. Keep it simple and make something gorgeous!
I have watched many videos on this and I always wondered why others were not doing the double cut on the material. My Dad called it that when he hung wallpaper for 30 years. I can't wait to try this. Thank you!
First time watching your videos and you have shown me just what I need to get started. you make them perfect. thank you
Your tutorial videos are, hands down, my FAVORITE! I turn to you everytime! I look to trying something new and if you have it, I normally do not even bother continuing to review other people's tutorials. Thank you so much for all of your help! You are AMAZING! :)
I've been researching tutorials on making different kind of tumblers and I've only subscribed to you and a couple others. The only difference is I'm binge watching all yours! You make me feel confident that when I have all my materials together I'm ready n excited to get it done! THANK YOU!!
And I had a question I'm going to start w my kids cups simply because they wont care about imperfections as much lol but could I just do the glow n the dark spray paint the 2x as you recommend without mica powder? Will that be bright enough to see it??
Depending on the style of fabric you could also use the glitter mod podge for a cool effect. Great video's and you are a really good teacher. Thanks so much for sharing all your wonderful idea's. You could make a beautiful set to match your outdoor furniture too.
Aaaammmaaazzziiinnnggg!!! You make everything look so easy! Thank you so much for all your tutorials, your detailed instructions are much appreciated!
I started my first fabric tumbler last night and the edging tool definitely made the process so much easier. I'm currently adding my layers of modge podge and will add epoxy tonight. So excited to see the finished product.
I was looking for this tutorial I knew it you had something like this👍. I bought the cutting tool too, thank you for that recommendation, this will help a lot to do my nice cuts. You are one of my favorites in RUclips, your tutorials are very clear . Thank you so much !!
Adriana Ariza-Jones hi
What was the name of the cutting tool ? Wanting to see if I can find it on amazon
@@melindamorgan1557 Hi. This tool is the best thing ever!! Amazon dont sale it , this is a small company and I bought it directly from them . Here are the details : SPECIAL CUP EDGING TOOL. www.wickedshimmersupply.com.
I did this cut on a cup today and it worked so well!! I've watched other videos and all they did is confuse me the way they did it and you made it so simple!! Thank you so much!! Not sure how you would like the way I seal, but I put about 4 layers of mod podge and then seal it with a ckear gloss spray paint and it works great and saves all the layering of the mod podge 😀
I tried 2 layers of modpodge and clear spray paint and it worked amazing!!!
You need to join my FB group!! I was singing your praises for mentioning this! I announced the success once I tried itr! The link to join is in the description under the tutorial!
That handy edging tool is a gem. Can’t wait to see where I can buy one. Thanks for the video!
I just updated with the links to all the supplies in the drop down menu!
thank you for doing the process on camera. I am new on this and I am learning. Love it.
This is the first time I've seen the seam done this way, which is my kryptonite. I've had that edge tool for a while and love it.
I've been dying to do a fabric tumbler...because of you, I just bought the cutting tool to help my OCD when I cut the fabric at the bottom! :)
I'm so glad to find your channel
Thank you so much for making this more simple and easy process. Now I feel like I'm ready to tackle the fabric tumbler.😘
Shona If you are really struggling to get a good seal, also spray it with a few layers of clear spray paint !
LittleLee and Rose Thanks so much for the tip. I plan to try it this upcoming week.
I love love love the wall at your house
Thank you for this tumbler I want to use some special material I have for tumblers for some of my grands!
AMAZING tutorial, thank you for sharing!. I can't wait to try your method.
Maria Coreano Thank you!!
LittleLee and Rose ❤ I subscribed and can't wait to watch more of your videos! 😍
Thank you love your videos xx
I'm so anxious to try this! I just ordered the fabric trimmer from your link! I have a good friend that made a cup turner for me, so I'm pretty good to go! Thank you!
Thank you. Instructions are clearly articulated.
The edger is a game changer!!! Thank you!!!
'
Phylicia Thomas Right?! I bought it on a whim and would never go back!!
@@LittleLeeandRose I bought it after watching your video this morning!!
where do you find the edging trimmer?
Candi Johnson www.wickedshimmersupply.com come join my FB group!! The link is in the description of this tutorial
I'm a retired hairdresser 😀 I love the way you do cups 👍
I am a hairdresser that always has messy hair! LOL andTHank you
So glad that I found your Channel! I've been wanting to try to do tumblers for a while. I always felt intimidated till after watching your videos! I want to give it a go! You give a really good list of supplies, but I was wondering where do you get your tumblers?
Connie Richardson if you join my FB group we have someone who coordinates the tumblers to ship in from China. They are a crazy good wholesale price
I ordered the cup cutter and omg so in love
I love your tutorials. The only thing I do different is epoxy all the way to the cup edges so I know the seal is good. I always feel like you're going to cut your ring finger. Lol
Hi, I am new to your videos and have watched a few. You are a great teacher! Where can I get the fabric trim tool?
Make a tin foil ball and poke/stab into the foil it cleans and sharpens the blades
Loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee YOU! Thx so much for all your videos!
Cathe Skro Thank you!!! And you are very welcome!
omg best video ever. I literally hated that I didn't see this video before I threw all my failed cups away. where did u get the slicing tool
Tamara Wyche www.wickedshimmersupply.com
If this link doesn’t work the link is also in the drop down menu inter to video
Summer do you put anything around the edge now or just leave it plain
Can you use a favorite tshirt cut out instead of a fabric square?
Waiting on your heat press? Here I was thinking about a regular iron to iron out the creases.
do you go all the way to the rim with the epoxy? and did you take the electric tape off before epoxying?
Do you have a tutorial on how to put glitter on the edge of the fabric tumbler?
it would be the same process as regular. Just tape off the fabric part of the cup, apply your glitter, seal, and epoxy
Couldn't you use the tool again to trim the epoxy? I don't have a steady hand so I can use all the help I can get?
Marsha Lloyd Yes! Absolutely! It would act just like an exacto knife!
O.M.GGGGGGG your videos are 🤯🤯🤯🤯 #NewSubscriber
Where do you get your 30oz skinny? The squares are called "fat quarter".
Big Guy Customs I always thought fat quarter was when there was a whole stack of small cuts of fabric in complimenting patterns and colors not just one. I love learning stuff:)
Summer you are so awesome! Thank you for teaching me so much. If I want to add washi to the seam, do I add it and then mode podge or add it right before epoxy?
stacey gillespie definitely use some sort of sealer.
I loved to watching you! 1 Question, you used the X-Acto knife at the end to remove the Epoxy, but could you have, also used the Edging tool? Just wondering! The knife intimidates and and I really don't have a very steady hand. Thank you
Barbara Noonan yes absolutely!
Hi love your videos can you tell me where I can find a cutting tool
Nilaja States Yes!!! Absolutely! The link is in the video description in the drop down menu! It’s from Wicked Shimmer Supply
I LOVE LOVE!! Definitely going to try this out....what kind of fabric is best for doing this project? Thank you!
Cotton is pretty easy to work with but you can do almost any fabric=)
LittleLee and Rose I love working with fabric. You’re Awesome 😎
Can you do fabric on a plastic tumbler like the water bottles from Dollar Tree
stephanie bailey you sure can!
I saw someone do a glitter tumbler for a bride where she used lace fabric over a white glitter base. Would you just mod podge and add the fabric or do you have to epoxy the cup first before the lace is added?
Can only be done the step 1 (put fabric) done with mod podge? Or I can us another product? X
Im a hairstylist too!
Will the cutting tool work even if I have mod podged 4 times on the fabric?
Did you remove the tape after both layers of epoxy dried? Or on between each layer and the re taped it for second layer?
remove the tape after each layer of epoxy BEFORE it dries, other wise you will go mad trying to get that tape off
You dont epoxy after you put the decal on?
Yes, If you add a decal you would epoxy over it. This cup (in the tutorial) has no Decal
Would this also work on paper?
do you think I could spray the cup with a spray adhesive to the cup to get the fabric on, then apply modge Podge over the top multiple times?
Jennifer Skipper hi I’m Cassie. One of Summers moderators from her Facebook group. You should be able to you just might have to work faster. Mod podge has a little leeway.
Could you please tell me how you know where to trim the flap of fabric? I do not get that part?
Thanks you so much for making these awesome videos!!! I used some white paw patrol fabric for my son and I. I coated with modpodge but it seems like there's like little small burnt Marks it's not exactly noticable since it's for me I really didnt worry much but I'm wondering what caused the burnt Mark's. No one I've seen had this problem so idk what I'm doing wrong. Thank you in advance for advice. :)
Taryn Hattan make sure to coat it with triple thick spray before epoxy!!!
Taryn Hattan www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000YQG54U/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=llandr07-20&camp=1789&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B000YQG54U&linkId=aac03da9d1557f2364ebd060352b9f4e
Those spots are from the epoxy seeping into portions of the fabric that weren’t coated enough
Thank you so much for the info!
So you ended up with 8 coats of MP after cutting the rim? That's the only problem I seem to be having is not getting a good enough seal
Elizabeth Mayberry you need quite a few coats. Make sure they are even coats.
Where do you get the Turner from
Can you use the hang method to do the epoxy with fabric cups?
yes, be sure you have LOTS of mod and it is FULLY dry as suggested in the video before you epoxy with any method of your choosing
How much epoxy should I use if I don’t have a cup turner and want to use the hang method?
Carla Espinoza hi I’m Cassie one of Summers moderators from her Facebook group. If your doing hang method you only want to use 2ML of epoxy. 1ML of each (if your epoxy is equal parts)
I am a hairstylist and my hair is always a wreck lol
Which kind of modpog donyou use? Like the fabric specific?
Amanda Jones I honestly use them all for anything LoL
Did u use the hanging method on this cup
Lines M Perez no she used a turner.
do your tublers have to be stainless still
K HarmonTCC Nope! Glass plastic stainless! It all works
I'm having a heck of a time sourcing tumblers! I really want the 20 oz skinny but can't find them. Any ideas please?
Judy Doster If you join my FB group we have a company that is taking pre buy orders for them! They are wholesale prices
I joined yesterday. I'll go check it out...thanks!!!
I taped my cup up but still had trouble getting my epoxy to seal the edge of my fabric. Any suggestions?
you really have to get a good seal and make sure your fabric is laying flat on the cup, if it's lifting you didn't seal it well enough with the mod.... and make sure the mod is COMPLETELY dry before you epoxy
Where do you purchase the tumblers from?
Summer Moore Protisserie on Etsy! Just search Protisserie and it will pop up. I love this turner!!! Tell him you saw it on RUclips, he will get a kick out of that
Will this process work on mason jars?
Denise Metz yes!
Awesome thank you. I’m new to all of this and trying to learn all of this
What tumbler are you using that is a straight 30 oz.? TIA
Kathy James it’s called a 30oz skinny
LittleLee and Rose ,THANKS! Love the tutorials, always great info & well done!
I've tried making these 10 hundred times (what it seems like lol) but I always get those wet looking spots in my fabric & they wont go away☹ any advice?
Kenna Dyer more layers of modpodge , use dishwasher safe modpodge and let it cure a few weeks. Then seal spray with clear spray paint and epoxy
Okay, thank you so much!!😊
Where can I find that edging tool? TIA
Liz Campos the link is in the description (drop down menu)! Wicked Shimmer Supply
Where do you get your tumblers?
Donna Strander hi I’m Cassie one of Summers moderators from her Facebook group. She actually out sources from China. If you join her Facebook group she has a link there. Also she says that steel magnolias has the same cups!
Thx Cassie
What is the name of the fabric so I can find it at Wal-Mart
I've seen them it's where they have the large fabrics but its hanging. In my store it's right across from the yarn.
I do believe I saw it at walmart online a few months back
I'm new to this and your videos are addictive. Question, where do you get your medal cups from cheaply?
Allegro medical supply online!! DIRT cheap! sign up for their mailing list and they email you sales. About once a week they have a day that id free shipping on any order. I buy everthing I need on that day. They also have very good prices on nitrile Gloves
@@LittleLeeandRose Thank you, but I didn't find any metal tumblers.
@@aryllwren228 The double wall metal tumblers
Where can we get the tool to cut the fabric
but_shays_makeup The link is in the supply list in the drop down menu:)
Thanks clicked another video and was in the drop down
@@LittleLeeandRose what other craft can you use it for?
Michelle Johnson so far I only use it for my cups. I am sure if you get creative you can find other uses I just haven’t yet. I am giving one away in my FB group!
Holy hell. You are so spazzy and trigger anxiety! Take a deep breathe before you start recording. Slow down your speech and your thoughts just a tiny bit. You’re like an annoying chihuahua. So all over the place. CALM DOWN!
txkxf you are so rude and just basically a shitty person, so 🤷♀️
