Wow, thank you! Contact cleaner worked; no broken wires on mine. Was only 3 months old, and had the same symptoms you had. Fixed thanks to your video. Thank you for posting.
Took mine apart, cleaned it, and nothing. Took the motor apart, and a Brad nail head that I was cutting, got inside and wedged itself in the motor. Still won't work. I think it's roached. Good vid tho.

great video saved me buying a new one
Great machine the Dewalt multitool but they do burn or break the wires off
I got same problem the cable to the battery had broke so now I gotta solder the cable to make it work again.thanks for the tutorial.
Big issue with tools that vibrate broken wires are common
Would this work on a jigsaw? I have similar problem, the light come on but no movement from the motor
I got it to work on impact drivers and the Multi tool in the video so I can't see why not
@@doctorlefthandthread I'll give it a go, but on further research it could be the overload protection kicking in, Are you Dean from TikTok?
@@ellicopter1 no Dean is also on RUclips under Dean Doherty. I have never met him but he seems a great technician.
hi any videos on how to replace the washer that hold blades?
I never encountered that fault yet
@@doctorlefthandthread i purchased the replacement washer but can't find any videos or pdf instructions anywhere not even from their service center.
This probably won't help but it's all I have ruclips.net/video/rbGTr0wTgQU/видео.html
Gonna try this on my oscillating tool and palm sander. Both got caked full if drywall dust.
Good luck!
How you separate gear head from a motor?
I think there are 2 screws when you loosen them it should pull off. It is a long time since I fixed this apologies if I am incorrect
Good tutorial Thanks!
