You have to take very good care of your voice. No smoking/heavy drinking. Also vocal chords are like muscles, so you have to keep them in shape (keep singing).

Her voice barely aged and that last note at the end of Journey To The Past, it's the same than the studio version and it was LIVE ! And she held it for 15 seconds without even wavering a bit, she's just INCREDIBLE !

Liz is one of Broadway's brightest and one of the world's greatest talents... EVER!
She sounds like a 20 years old girl. What an amazing performance. Sad to not have known about her before, truly an amazing artist. Outstanding.
Listen to any of her work from the Broadway show, Baby, particularly the songs "The Story Goes On" and "Two People in Love". She had rock solid singing technique from day one, which is why she can still sound like this at nearly 60.

Just found out who Liz Callaway is this week. She has one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard. Her version of Medowlark is unmatched.
Woaaah! The movie "Anastasia" always gives me chills especially in the part where she sang "once upon a december". Now seeing the original singer at this age singing it all in live makes me cry in awe. Just awesome! This has always been my favorite Disney film. 💗

@Alex Johnson okay technically the artists/directors were a part of Disney at one point but it's not Disney as a whole, it was a contender for 20th Century Fox.

Was mesmerized by her singing from Anastasia as a child, and I still am today. What a lovely voice. I would play the cassette of the Anastasia soundtrack so many times and annoy my parents x)

Wow. Just wow. I dont think I've ever seen a seasoned singer be able to keep their voice so perfectly in tact. She literally still has the voice of a 20 yr old and sounds just like she did in the films. Amazing.

I always loved the voice of "odett" in swan princess and I have always loved this song. I NEVER KNEW it was the same women. I am in love right now. I was 12 when these came out and I'm having some serious emotional moments. Haha, I like I found a long lost best friend...

I love Lea Salonga and Jodi Benson, but I think Liz Callaway is even better than those ladies. Her singing is more consistent, her tone fuller and richer, she can belt stronger. And she's incredible live - amazing technique, her voice hasn't aged a day! On the top of that Liz is a genuine, kind person, I love her so much.

Anastasia has such great songs. The musicals now are way too expositional in their songs. Songs in musicals should enhance our understanding of the characters’ motivations not move a story along.

I get where you're coming from, but I somewhat disagree. 1776 is one of my favorite musicals, and it uses songs to let us know what the characters' motivations are, but it also uses them to move the story along.
Great musicals do both methinks. Anastasia itself is a good example of this. The song "Learn to Do It" is both Anya preparing for the encounter with her grandmother in Paris through the teachings of Dimitri and Vlad (which is necessary to the plot) as well as her remembering more about herself and her own confidence in the process (which is character growth in line with her established motivation to find out more about her past). I agree though that musicals should keep character motivation and emotion more forefronted than they tend to sometimes.
Great musicals do both.

Liz Callaway is one of my favourite vocalists!! Even after all these years, her voice still sounds as young, effortless, and vibrant as when she first recorded those songs. So nostalgic, ♥ , my childhood as a 90s baby in a nutshell: Kiara (Lion King II), Princess Jasmine (Aladdin II & III), Anastasia (Anastasia), Princess Odette (The Swan Princess), etc.
I'm just shivering now. Its been long

Christy (if based on the performance I saw on youtube - an anniversary performance) is not as good as her
jumbosstar don’t base her talent off that video. For one, the version of journey to the past that is used in the musical is slowed down considerably compared to the movie, and on top of that, she had just gotten over a cold and had finished a two show day, making it the third time she performed that song that day. The circumstances weren’t ideal. I was able to see it live, and trust me, Christy is just as talented as Liz; her voice gave me chills during the entire performance. A duet would sound amazing!

As much as everyone likes to think differently, no amount of proper training will keep you sounding super young when you’re naturally aging unless you are supremely lucky!!! She both has an amazing natural voice and incredible training ❤ but we shouldn’t expect that everyone can sound like this at age 60 if they practice the “right way”! That just doesn’t always happen 😂
