After all these years, Liz Callaway still sounds exactly the same. The nostalgia... ♥ Anastasia, Kiara (Lion King II), Princess Odette (The Swan Princess), Princess Jasmine (Aladdin II & III), etc. My childhood as a 90s baby
I disagree... I feel like Liz was kind of overpowering and her Harmony (the other girl) had to step it up just to keep up. It made it louder and sound a little bit forced.
This is seriously one of the best things I came across this year. I can’t stop listening to it. Two super professional women with amazing and angelic voices. What else do we need?
I started crying even before I played the video because I knew this was going to be amazing! I love this musical so much and having both Anyas sing Journey to the Past today on my birthday is like the best birthday present ever!
I love how much respect they show towards each other. Christy has always said she loved the film Anastasia so much as a child, and landing the role of Anya in the musical was a dream come true. You can see her admiration for Liz shining in her eyes. And Liz looks so proud and humbled that after all these years, her role as Anastasia is still so beloved. Liz Callaway literally inspired Christy. She looks so proud to be passing the mantle onto someone who loves and cherishes this character as much as she does. And I feel in her heart, she knows Christy will do justice to the character she lent her voice to. Both of these women are so beautiful and I adore them with all my heart. Thank you to both of you. Liz, thank you for being the perfect Anya of my childhood. And Christy, thank you for reminding me of my love for the character of Anastasia 💕
This has to be one of my favorite songs of all time (I even have “home, love, family” tattooed on my ankle) and having this two talented woman singing it it’s everything an Anastasia fan can dream of ♥️
Ugh, literal goosebumps! Old Anya singing with future Anastasia! Kinda makes me sad in a way to think about what life would've been for the real Anasatsia had she survived along with her sisters 😥
I listened to Liz's early recordings and fell in love with her beautiful and angelic voice and this is my fav' from her and well, are this lady's vocal cords in iron ???? I mean, even though her vibrato is slower when she belts, she still sings and belts PERFECTLY and at the same time sounds like a 20yo girl and all that at nearly 60 :o This is just insane :o That woman is just f*** incredible ! Christy is amazing too, but Liz is just... :o
Recently I started some treatments for major depression. I had been in a fog of sadness and depression for over a decade. While I was making noodles during the treatment one night, this song (Christy's version) came on the play list. I started to sing it to my dog and dance around the kitchen, and caught myself. Realizing that for the first time, I felt joy and happiness in over 10 years, and this song is what triggered that feeling. I almost fell over crying with joy. And then finding this. Its so beautiful.
As someone who grow up with Anastasia film there is something both nostalgia and surreal at the same time seeing both Christy altomare and liz callaway singing journey to the past at the same time
liz sounds amazing even after all these years, her belts sounds so effortless they’re so beautiful. and christy’s harmonies!! she goes from high to low without any trouble at all she’s so great. they’re both amazing i love this vid
Listening to Liz Callaway sing feels so nostalgic. She voiced so many of my favourite childhood characters and she still sounds exactly the same. Lovely!
Heart don't fail me now Courage don't desert me Don't turn back now that we're here People always say Life is full of choices No one ever mentions fear Or how the world can seem so vast On the journey to the past Somewhere down this road I know someone's waiting Years of dreams just can't be wrong Arms will open wide I'll be safe and wanted Finally home where I belong Well, starting now I'm learning fast On this journey to the past Home, love, family There was once a time I must have had them too Home, love, family I will never be complete until I find you One step at a time One hope then another Who knows where this road may go Back to who I was On to find my future Things my heart still needs to know Yes, let this be a sign Let this road be mine Let it lead me to my past And bring me home at last
Oh my goodness, I cannot get enough of this DUET! Liz will always be Anya, like WOW! I am literally crying my eyes out. This is a journey to the past 😭😭😭😍💜🙏😊👑👑. They both have such amazing voices. I just love it so much! 💜💜💜💜
They are both phenomenal. Christy is a caring, considerate person who touched my daughters heart after her show - and mine. The world needs more people like her.
My family and I were in NYC in June, and happened upon Christy walking down 8th. She is so darling and gracious!! She told us about this recording, and we’ve been anxiously awaiting its arrival!! It’s absolutely stunning and perfectly harmonious!! Love it so much!! Can’t wait to sing this song in my community Broadway class this semester!
Who are the 3 people who gave this thumbs down, don't they have ears???? This is fantastic! I love the simple piano arrangement and how it allows Christy and Liz's vocals to take center stage as it should. Their voices blend together so beautifully and they sound so warm and uplifting.
Liz Callaway still sounds the exact same almost 20 plus years on!
No, not really.
She does sound remarkably similar to her much younger self, which is rarely the case for a lot of singers.
I almost cannot believe it, either. They're so beautiful singing together. It's like past and present blending like a banana smoothie.
That's why I love her..
No she doesn't.
She still sounds amazing but it is not the same.
you can just see in their faces how much they love performing this song and how much appreciation they hold for each other. this has made my year
It helps with the singing too :)
After all these years, Liz Callaway still sounds exactly the same. The nostalgia... ♥ Anastasia, Kiara (Lion King II), Princess Odette (The Swan Princess), Princess Jasmine (Aladdin II & III), etc. My childhood as a 90s baby
Carolynn D I am a 90's baby too
Omg I forgot she did the singing voice of Jasmine in 2 and 3!!
My childhood
Damn me too
Me too same here
Past and present Anyas singing together.
Now all we need is Idina Menzel and Cassie Levy to do Let It Go
I WOULD SELL MY SOUL TO SEE THIS

The actress that plays Anya in the touring show sucks compared to Christy =(
@@britneyspears1851 no! Shes amazing as well!
@@britneyspears1851You might prefer Christy to whoever is playing her on tour, but saying she sucks, is just... A little rude..
I saw her and she is incredible!! She sounds exactly like Christy!
I just love how neither of them try to overpower the other. Their voices melt into each other beautifully
They do harmonize great
I agree, although the younger one pushed too hard and loud at some parts in my opinion.

Christy's eye brows deserve a Tony Nomination

Okay but their voices are so similar yet different its bloody gorgeous

I just discovered this video. I am euphoric, swooning in the beauty of a great song presented by two angels with absolutely crystaline voices!!

Heart don't fail me now
Courage don't desert me
Don't turn back now that we're here
People always say
Life is full of choices
No one ever mentions fear
Or how the world can seem so vast
On the journey to the past
Somewhere down this road
I know someone's waiting
Years of dreams just can't be wrong
Arms will open wide
I'll be safe and wanted
Finally home where I belong
Well, starting now I'm learning fast
On this journey to the past
Home, love, family
There was once a time I must have had them too
Home, love, family
I will never be complete until I find you
One step at a time
One hope then another
Who knows where this road may go
Back to who I was
On to find my future
Things my heart still needs to know
Yes, let this be a sign
Let this road be mine
Let it lead me to my past
And bring me home at last
