I noticed something extremelly clever from Foster. In the minute 3:18 when the music was in its climax, he stopped the music (check his hands), so the riffs up of the girl's voice had more impact.. he is just a genious.

It's not that they're non-musical people, it's because you don't stand during a classical music concert. It's perhaps due to the history of music when it was aristocrats and middle-class persons who went to concert and had to show restraint in compared to the cliché of the noisy popular class. And I totally agree with you about how phenomenal was a show :)

I say this in full truth... The ONLY live performance that ACTUALLY sounded like the movie without the auto tune. Your voice is pure and clean and I can tell the energy you put into this song was 100% real and authentic.

In my opinion this is even greater than the recorded version for the film. She not only did an incredible job for the film but then does this and completely surpasses it. I absolutely love when an artist can do that, much like Pearl Jam and “black” in their unplugged version it resonates so much more than the album version. What Loren did here was exactly that surpassing her own self in such an incredible way

Live was amazing, and we were not allowed to get up. We were told not to give standing ovations, unless it was instructed. During the taping there were some other parts that didn't make it to the show and they were just as equally impressive.
She hits the high notes with perfect tone the first time. She doesn't need need a millisecond to modulate her voice when she goes high like many singers do.
Its very good. It's really unnecessary for all these introductions to mention that she's the actual singer. People will know it and it's a bit insulting to Rebecca Ferguson who is a great actor. Every detail from the buildup to the denouement was necessary and any changes just wouldn't have produced that shocking lofty moment in the movie. Actress was great, singer was great, Hughes look of surprise was great.. we shouldn't diminish any of those contributions as much as I respect the great voice that is Loren Allred.

@@lasrie9689 Very hard. There are many high notes you need to belt in the chorus repeatedly. Then the last parts, are very tricky because you might not breath enough air to support the next high notes because of there is very little time or rest in between. Then you need to sustain that high E5 note at the end with every control you have. But, if you have proper technique and incredible breath control you may be able to sing it.
The reason this performance was by far the best was because there's a live orchestra and they are following her and she's not restricted by any pre recorded track and she's completely immersed herself in the emotion. She is so comfortable and flawlessly executes this because she is free to sing how ever she wants to and go along with the flow. This is absolutely overwhelmingly beautiful ❤

It's not that they're non-musical people, it's because you don't stand during a classical music concert. It's perhaps due to the history of music when it was aristocrats and middle-class persons who went to concert and had to show restraint in compared to the cliché of the noisy popular class. In my opinion this is even greater than the recorded version for the film. She not only did an incredible job for the film but then does this and completely surpasses it. I absolutely love when an artist can do that, much like Pearl Jam and “black” in their unplugged version it resonates so much more than the album version. What Loren did here was exactly that surpassing her own self in such an incredible way

Its very good. It's really unnecessary for all these introductions to mention that she's the actual singer. People will know it and it's a bit insulting to Rebecca Ferguson who is a great actor. Every detail from the buildup to the denouement was necessary and any changes just wouldn't have produced that shocking lofty moment in the movie. Actress was great, singer was great, Hughes look of surprise was great.. we shouldn't diminish any of those contributions as much as I respect the great voice that is Loren Allred.

Most those Hollywood starlets of old were...they even were called '5:00 girls' as they were there to 'entertain' after hours. We can all try to copy singers, because I sing too and I can copy most of them. But Morisette at least in this song is way out of Loren's league

@@lasrie9689 Very hard. There are many high notes you need to belt in the chorus repeatedly. Then the last parts, are very tricky because you might not breath enough air to support the next high notes because of there is very little time or rest in between. Then you need to sustain that high E5 note at the end with every control you have. But, if you have proper technique and incredible breath control you may be able to sing it.

The reason this performance was by far the best was because there's a live orchestra and they are following her and she's not restricted by any pre recorded track and she's completely immersed herself in the emotion. She is so comfortable and flawlessly executes this because she is free to sing how ever she wants to and go along with the flow. This is absolutely overwhelmingly beautiful ❤
The version she did on Britain's got talent was much better. All this nonsense about a live orchestra holding her back didn't happen there....
