On my first night ride on velocicoaster, I noticed that it’s night in the pre show as well. Love how they did this to increase the immersion of your experience, universal did so well with this ride!
They must have learned their lesson from Hagrid's "egg room". God, I hate the lighting in that room!

You know I’m with Owen on this, realistically, shoving a roller coaster in the middle of a paddock with nothing in between the riders and the animals seems like a very bad idea. Especially when the animals are a pack of super intelligent predators.
IKR but also the raptors would probably not even be visible irl since the roar of the coaster might scare them and make them nervous

So is this the only Universal attraction ever where, despite an avalanche of foreshadowing, nothing actually "goes wrong" in the story and you have a perfectly normal (plot-wise) ride? Nothing wrong with that, it's just funny to see it happen in a Jurassic ride of all things!
The story needs some work, it is full of plot holes. Universal doesn't seem to fully understand the concept of story telling when it comes to their theme park attractions..... or their movies either seemingly.
@@Lil_Angry_Bitch I agree - this ride Needed a dark room scene!! - and robotic raptors rather than just statues?! To me the coaster feels amazing but the theming could have been 1000% better
@@ruaidhrilinden7289 did you notice the raptors in the cages before the first launch? I agree, they could have done animatronic raptors on the track. Certainly would have been nicer, but I also fear they would have been broken all the time.
If I'm hearing right, at the end, Claire tells Owen they need a hand with a "situation" at the "aquatic" exhibit.
So it seems this happens around the same time as Jurassic World: The Ride and that's why nothing goes wrong here, because we're not the poor guys on the boats lol
@@ruaidhrilinden7289 i swear some of yall will never be happy. Universal is the only one dumping hundreds of millions of dollars into single rides to top everyone else in thrill and theming. Whats the point of an animatronic you'd only see for .5 seconds at 60 mph?

I love how immersive the whole ride is and how Thai feels like it’s all in continuity and ties in together with the story for Jurassic World and we the guest are those people who experiences it.

I miss the first jw era so much
I do love this attraction, but if there is anything I'm disappointed by, it's the fact that nothing went wrong within the ride's story. With how much build up there was with the Raptors being "incredible problem solvers", I was expecting there to be at the very least an audio jumpscare of some kind by the end to pay off that sense of danger and certainty that was given to us while waiting in line. I can't complain too much as this was still one of my favourite rides in the time I went, but it just feels like there is something missing that would have complete this already amazing rollercoaster.
I mean good news, the coaster is always at risk for rollback on the arch so 🤷🏼♀️

Owen & Claire have the charisma of a dead fish
So the preshow sets the story of this ride up like it's "dangerous" and something bad could happen, however the actual ride is very anticlimactic. You pass a few Raptor Statues, go near hogsmead for some reason, go over the water, then the ride ends. Nothing happens story or plot wise. With the River Adventure you have the story that the Dinosaurs got loose and you must escape by going down a drop but this ride doesn't seem to have much of a plot, just like most of the Jurassic Park sequels.
