@@sjcflawless I don’t think it’s really comparable. Disney has no intense rides that are 70mph rollercoasters. Let’s wait and see how accesible Tron is when it’s open.

@Galaxyfnaf And Dino theoretically, Disney does with the Aerosmith roller coaster; 0-60. However, Six Flags and other theme parks do have faster coasters. I’ve had a instance at Astroworld(six flags) where I couldn’t ride the dungeon drop the first time! I lost weight that year and finally rode it before the theme park closed down! Op is right though!

I actually appreciate this being a large guy myself. Nothing is more embarrassing for me then standing in line for hours just to not ride it because of size. Everyone is looking at you, and it’s an awful feeling, but I understand the rules, and it’s my fault.

I hat that too. But one of my main problems Is that my legs are shorter while my torso is longer. So most people don't even call me fat but I am. I am Fat. But I will fit on mostly all the rides at Universal except the Forbidden journey as my bust is way to big for the chest harness. But with my legs being so much sorter than the rest of me, every time I sit in a seat my legs never touch the ground or the bottom of any ride. The hippogryph ride is one of the only rides where my feet can actually hit bottom. So I always have a problem even getting any traction to pull the lap bars down. I ask for help and the staff will not help me at all. I have massive muscles in my arms so when I try to pull the lap bar or harnesses down all I am doing is pushing my entire body out of the seat against the bar/harness. So my butt is no longer in the seat.

I’m telling you that the way this seat makes you feel is unlike any other ride. There is nothing holding your upper body or shoulders. You are HANGING!! The speed definitely helps, but the air time feels truly insane. It’s hard to describe this ride in words.

It's so true that how you carry your weight makes as much of a difference as your actual weight. My mom carried most of her weight in her stomach, while I'm very "hippy". Even when I was thin, my hips were 3 sizes bigger than my waist & chest. My mom often had trouble fitting in restaurant booths if the tables were fixed in place due to her tummy. I never have that issue but often have trouble fitting in chairs with arms due to the width of my hips which is an issue my mom never had. Similarly, her biggest concern on rides was whether or not the safety bar would go down far enough, whereas my biggest concern is whether or not I'll fit in the seat. Women who are especially busty often have trouble with over-the-shoulder restraints, too.
I'm 5'8" & currently 280 lbs, but I've been as heavy as 325. The only place I fit on most rides is Disney. I used to go once a year, but my last visit was 9+ years ago, as they've pretty much priced me out now. Six Flags Over Texas is basically in my backyard, but I haven't been in probably 20 years because the last time I went I just barely fit on most rides, & I'm bigger now. I see videos of people who weigh more than I do saying they fit on rides just fine that I know I either don't fit on or are a very tight squeeze. But again, it's all about weight distribution. I'm glad there are people out there willing to post videos like this to at least provide a frame of reference, though.

Interesting. I’ve ridden Velocicoaster twice on Friday. I’m a larger guy (6’2”, 275lbs, 38 or 40” waist depending on the day) I fit without issue, I had a TM help me with the test seat in the locker area. I had no issues with the actual ride seat itself, I didn’t need to TM to push on the restraint at all and I pulled the restraint down from the front and not the sides. I generally found the ride to be much more comfortable than most others that I have been on. It’s much more comfy than Rip Ride Rocket. It’s also more comfortable than any RMC restraint which I have issues with my thighs in, especially Steel Vengeance and Lightning Rod. I think if you lose just a little more weight and it comes off around your midsection you’ll enjoy it a lot more.

Back in 2016 my dad couldn't fit in El Toro's restraints, and it sucked because I would always ride those crazy coasters with him (here in Brazil there aren't many coasters). Now he lost about 15kg (~33 pounds) and we're definitely excited to go on Velocicoaster! Keep on your weight loss journey! Great channel!

Thanks for the honesty and information. I had been holding off going to the park for this ride because I didn’t think I’d fit, but now that I saw you get on I feel much more optimistic. The website says 40” waist and I wear a 46”, but currently the only ride I don’t fit on is Forbidden Journey - every other ride I can get on, even Hagrid’s in the motorcycle seat.
Typically older Intamin rides aren’t designed for bigger people like B&M is (I love Mako and the other B&M hyper/giga seats and even get airtime on them - super comfortable even though I’m big). I have been to Cedar Point and rode Millenium and TTD but I weighed a lot less then. I just rode Superman at SFNE (Intamin mega coaster) last week and since I have gained weight that ride was extremely uncomfortable, although I did fit on. The sad news was I could not ride their RMC (Wicked Cyclone) so I know now I need to lose a bit of weight in order to ride Iron Gwazi when it opens.
I’m glad to see Intamin has modified their restraints to try to make it a little more accommodating - I also want to go to BG Williamsburg and ride Pantheon too when that opens. I think it all has to do with where you carry your weight. I’m 6’1” and about 285 so I typically just squeeze on most rides, but I’m still inspired to lose a little more. When I was around 250 pre-pandemic, I fit on everything at Universal and Busch Gardens, even the “normal” B&M seats so I could ride back row on Montu, Kumba, and Hulk. Also shout out to Premier Rides - their cars are incredibly accommodating - I can ride Tigris over and over and it’s super comfortable and I can’t wait for Ice Breaker.
Anyways my point in all of this is to say that I really can relate and I really appreciate you talking about rides for bigger people. I wish there was more content about this other than just a few Reddit posts where people get fat-shamed. I appreciate that you have no shame in your game, but also that you are motivated to stay healthy and continue to lose weight so that you can get on more rides. It’s inspirational to me and to many other people as well - great work! Take care and I hope to see you out in the parks someday soon!

Thanks for the video. While I do have a stomach, I carry a lot of my wait in my legs, so Hagrids was a no go, even though I had ridden the other tight fit coasters. It is a little bit of a relief for me to hear this one is more accommodating in that way.
