    I'm supremely happy to see that the rumors were wrong. I was so nervous, but I weigh 100 pounds less than you and it's so nice to know how accomodating this ride is for a lot of big people. It's soooo hard to separate the wheat from the chaff on plus-size/fat friendly info sometimes, and thats why you're one of my favorite channels. :) Thank you!!

      They over hyping it so much. No offense 2 anyone that’s like 400 pounds but if ur that big ur not getting on any ride. Needa quit eating so much n lose a lil weight. N I’m saying this as a bigger dude. Imo this is the guests problem. Not a universal problem. They weren’t preparing for shamu to ride the Mario ride.

    • @ThatOneOtherFangirl
      @ThatOneOtherFangirl Год назад +5

      @@fredo7540 Homie, this is way deeper than just not eating. Some people are genetically gonna be bigger or smaller, whether they work out and eat right or eat like garbage. and weight sits different on everyone. For example: someone can be 400 lbs, but if they're 6 ft tall that means they're gonna have a smaller waist size than someone 5 ft tall. Besides, this video is helping others *before* they even step into the parks because tempering expectations is a good thing. Maybe rework your fatshaming mindset?

    It's even more lenient on the ride. Had someone who couldn't get the green light on the test seat. But we sat in the back, and they were able to ride. We even asked a team member if they were good to go before dispatch and they said they were clear.
    Thanks again for dispelling these rumors. Those news articles will write anything for clickbait.

    Thank you very much for this. I now have an annual pass to Universal Hollywood, but haven't had a chance to ride yet & was nervous about Mario Kart, especially after riding The Mummy, which was tight, and I couldn't fit in Flight of the Hippogriff. The clickbait articles say that if you have a waste larger than forty in you can't ride. I'm six-one and I have a 43 in waist in my pant size is 36 and I'm relatively skinny and I thought it wasn't going to fit in my fit with plenty of room to spare so it's kind of annoying how they just bash Universal for no reason

    LMAO YES I got suctioned in. I would say for women, sometimes it's not always our stomach that is the issue (not saying we don't have that issue) but fitted seats like this can cause issue for those of us with thunder thighs and big hips. I was definitely squished in there and suctioned when I got out, but got in, but I had recently lost 50lb+ and don't know that I would have fit before. This is the same issue I have with Harry Potter! It's not my stomach or chest in the way, it's my dang thighs.
    ALSO HOW MUCH FUN WAS THIS RIDE? SO MUCH FUN. :)

    Most rides are geared for Princess Peach and Luigi-sized figures. Harry Potter and Forbidden Journey, anyone? I waited the 2.5 hr wait (+ an additional 1 hr "we're experiencing technical difficulties" downtime) to go on Bowser's Challenge. I'm 5'5, 275 lbs, 46" waist, and was afraid after that looooong wait that I wouldn't fit. Didn't see the test chair on the way in. As a Bowser-sized fellow, I can safely say that the kart fit me well. If I was a Wario, though, I'd be concerned.

    I am going to Japan in a month and want to visit Universal Super Nintendo World there. Can anybody confirm if the size of the seat is the same in US and Japan? Because I was thinking maybe they made it bigger for America since americans tend to be much taller (and wider) than the average person in Japan.

    • @wanderingcelle
      @wanderingcelle 4 месяца назад

      You have most likely gone and come back. However, the sizing in Japan is smaller. I wasn’t able to ride the Yoshi ride and barely made the Mario Kart ride.
      I was just at USH and almost couldn’t ride the Mario Kart ride after gaining 35lbs that’s mostly in the middle. Where you carry the weight matters.

    Trigger warming! ⚠️
    I mean this from the bottom of my heart cause I care about this specific topic cause I used to be fat, and cause I've watched you struggle in Disney Run and talk down to yourself but not doing anything about it... You NEED to lose body fat, go on a calorie deficit. At 5'5 and more than 300lb? That is not healthy at all, just because you can barely fit if you suck your belly in, as an obese person does not mean the entire industry has to make changes just for you to get fatter n fatter. That should not be allowed cause if the ride breaks or something happens to you n get hurt then is the companies fault, not your unhealthiness. SMH
    It is not the 1st time that it happens in the History of theme parks. ⚠️
