FOR THOSE WHO DONT KNOW! The ride uses AR glasses that enhance the experience, the effects of the glasses cannot be seen in this video. And a side note, most of the effects don't seemed to have been timed right because of the extremely early nature the ride is in right now. Should be all fixed up when it is opened to the public.

I'm shocked and fascinated that they took the seeming of the omitted Yoshi ride and incorporated into this extended Bowser's Challenge. Similar to Jurassic Park it's going to be fascinating comparing all the layouts of each version of Super Nintendo World to each other!
It looks pretty but as a Mario Kart fan since the 90s, I was really hoping for a speedy experience kind of like the cars ride
It never gave that vibe at all. How would they fit that in such a tiny space?
@@iJoshuaVentura right, they probably had to think of an attraction that wouldn’t take much space and would be able to fit in most Universal parks.
@@imsocool5932 plus something that’s enjoyable for the whole family to enjoy like they do with the game. In 2025 epic universe at Orlando Florida is opening a Nintendo world with Mario kart, yoshis ride and a Donkey Kong coaster
As a mario fan in general since the first Nintendo I was more than satisfied with how they mixed in the various mario stages, worlds, themes and all. I took more pleasure in that then it being a faster ride. Played mario kart never really got into it. Personally I always liked crash team racing better but that’s just my opinion, but anyways you get to experience everything else with the AR glasses it’ll make more sense once u put it on cus your scoring points

The park looks insane for what seemed like a small space. The ride looks pretty solid and probably even better with the AR goggles, although the waiting queue looks very long, meaning long lines. I just wonder why the ride was moving slow, even at a 1.5x video speed. Still looking forward to see the land when I can.
it's a dark ride, NOT a fast ride at all, the AR will make it seem like a race

@@matiasdupree4834 that seems unfortunate, but as long as the AR can make for a fun experience, then it’ll make up for it. I guess you would have to go in person to really get a feel for it.
@@Dorokill I mean understandable. another video I saw kinda showed the AR effects. Guess once it fully opens in February, it’s a you have to really go in person to experience the ride and you can make a better judgement kind of thing.
At least Universal is smart and knows how long the line for this attraction will be.

Dude, ok that queue line is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Mixing the asthetics of Yoshis New Island, with the themes of Yoshis Island and DS is amazing. It'll make you forget you are waiting in line

Thank you! Great job! I did a side-by-side comparisons of your video with those from Japan. It looks like there is no difference between the two rides other than some screens weren't working. Enjoy!
It's quite similar to the one in Universal Japan, but Hollywood has a hall before the "game" begins. I'm actually impressed about how it looks! Yeah, there's a few graphics not seen entirely, due to it being in technical rehearsal, but this is amazing!

They put so much effort into the 'waiting line' area that its basically its own attraction.

Everyone should experience this ride in person. Videos don’t do it much justice.

Before you enter the Karts, you can here the Main Menu theme from Mario Kart Wii. It was so nostalgically beautiful 😢

honestly I love the effects, sets, and queue they all scream mario and universal did an amazing job
just wish it wasn’t so slow u know like imagine a radiator springs racers type ride in place of this, ik hollywood doesn’t have the space but it would have been so cool
I would have loved if it wa spike the cars ride where it was some dark rides scene but then it has a thrilling race at the end
Just like with the one in JP, not a huge fan of the ride. While the AR stuff is really cool and might be fun, I feel like opting for a more fast ride would have made more sense.
Let’s face it we all wanted a massive test track type ride for Mario Cart with AR
I get Californias land locked but Epic Universe isn’t so it’s a shame we will get this when they could’ve done so much more with it.

Agreed, the ride in the concept art looked awesome. But I suppose Nintendo wanted a more family friendly experience (because AFAIK they have creative control), thus this was the result.
I think it looks fun and I think it would be much better in person though. It would be a sick Luigi's Mansion ride though.

It’s a shame we did not get a roller coaster VR ride, like a a rainbow road track or like shy guy falls and other Mario kart rides where you can feel the 0 gravity and steep drops. At least make new Mario kart right here quicker
Im surprise that there wasn't at least a little push of speed near the rainbow but its still beautiful.
Finally, the Bowser ending. Never came across a video of it until now. Also I like how Mario is congratulating the riders for trying and being a good sportsman too.
I never knew you could actually lose! I saw footage from the ride in Japan a while ago and I just assumed that it always let you win but I think that it’s really cool that your skill actually determines the ending!

They did not. For being Universal studiod, this was mediocre. The ride looks slow, boring, and underwhelming.

Plus there’s AR goggles involved on this ride so there’s also stuff you don’t see on camera

Mario kart Bowser challenge the art and everything looks amazing. It feels that walking in a dream of art and creative from a mysterious museum 🖼️.

Looks alright the experience is probably better. The land looks great I can’t wait to go but not anytime soon who wants to wait in the super long lines.

Let's A Go! I can't wait to ride this! I like the way you recorded your POV of the ride! I'm thinking about recording from the front row too with my iPhone 14 Pro Max in the 0.5 lens that shows a lot of details and the courses! I definitely can see myself filming the ride for my channel and playing at the same time!

I noticed the dispatch issue in the japan version too. I think if they work out the timing kinks and like you said space out each dispatch this will be awesome

The land looks absolutely beautiful but the ride itself is really disappointing. For a Mario Kart theme it should’ve been like Radiator Springs Racers. The AR concept they have for this ride would’ve worked perfectly for a Luigi’s Mansion theme.
Not sure how they’d be able to show off the sets and animatronics when the ride is going fast.

ARE YOU SERIOUS? There is Bowser's Challenge at the Hollywood!! In my experience, I went to USJ Osaka and waited only 10 minutes with the express pass. I warned you, Bowser's Challenge there is VERY popular. I saw this on Hollywood before.

95% of the Experience is the Super Long Lines. 5% the ride itself. This insane what it took this guy to walk there without the people in lines. LOL 🤣
The environment looks amazing but I can't comprehend how the glasses makes everything feel like you're racing fast when the walls and things go by very slowly since the vehicle moves very slowly.
Disney's queue would've gradually gone uphill so there were no stairs. Screws us handicapped from enjoying the main entrance!
Really wish they had gone with a trackless setup like Runaway Railway.
If this is even just a taste of what will be in store for us Floridians when Epic Universe (With its Nintendo area) opens in a year or two, it'll be an absolute masterpiece!

It'll be 6 weeks before I get to ride, but even without the AR glasses, I can already tell they did a great job with this.
This opens the the day before my birthday, and I wanna go so badly
I think I like the lighting in this version better than the one in Japan. Also, is it just me or some of the sets are more detailed in this version, it actually looks like the base game of MK8 whereas the one in Japan looks like Tour/Booster Course Pass (Not like that's a bad thing though).
I'm excited to see what changes they will bring to the Epic Universe version (hopefully more animatronics).
Though, you cannot see the augmented part, the design of the ride is beautiful to look at.
Y'know, since its called SUPER Nintendo World, what if we were to design a park themed specifically to the greatest hits of the SNES?
*Now obviously there would be plenty of Super Mario to choose from (World, All-Stars, Kart, Yoshi's Island).
*Next, just like in Universal, would be a land themed to the Donkey Kong Country trilogy.
*Then we'd have a Zelda land based on A Link to the Past.
*StarFox would fit the role of the sci-fi Tomorrowland area.
*Finally, something for the adults; might be controversial, but I feel its a forgotten franchise that deserves a second look: Killer Instinct

It looks pretty cool to ride. 😍 However, just the looooonnng walk, upstairs, downstairs, etc... Looks like it would wear you out by the time you get to ride. 😜
It looks way more immersive than the Japan version, and looks more fun, granted we can’t see the full effects because you wear glasses during the ride I suppose, but nice to see it from a point of view reguardless, the line looks insanely long though so would hate to queue up through that entire queue line, I can see long queues for this

Guess the AR would make for a different experience. There a couple of "fast" sequences, if they incorporated some kind of air blowing system it could enhance that part of the experience. It wouldn't be aimed directly in your face, just off the sides. Gives the impression of going fast for that part of the ride.
Man I can't wait for the land to come to Florida 2 more years

I also love the movie.
My problem would be the amount of length to the ride. With nobody in the line it takes 15 minutes to walk from the entrance to the Karts. It'll be a 3+ hour wait.
Queue was pretty long and the ride seemed a bit underwhelming but I'm sure it's better on the actual ride.

@@imsocool5932 not likely tbh after working there and seeing how big it is myself, you're best hoping for something like that to be apart of the one they are building at universal studios orlando(will be over a million square feet there). It's all cool to see but the only ride there is mario kart, the rest are interactive games. $40 for a power up band you use inside super nintendo world.
@@NogaroChase They’re not building it at USO, its at Epic Universe. Honestly you never know. As an example, the rumored Fast-n-Furious coaster, it was very unexpected adding on a rollercoaster on the Special effects stage & Animal actors stage.
I can't believe that I just barely missed my chance to go to Nintendo World at Universal Hollywood. Well I'm still hoping to someday.
