very unfortunate for those non-american of us who only get to visit this parks once every 10 years, we loose hours making lines for attractions and we miss out on all the fun because of that. There is no point for us to spend 40$ on the band and loose time there and won't get to experience the rest of the park. Considering how on a non-media day, the crowds are brutal
It looks cool and all, but 40$ per person for the wristband ontop of the price to get into universal PLUS the outrageous price of food. It's just too steep. They could have just had you download the app and use your phone instead of the wristband.
Hey Raúl! With the attraction wait time, the interactive elements, the key challenges, and the restaurant, I'd say it could take between 2-4 hours to see everything.
I have two questions for you as I’m visiting Japan in about four months time 1. Apart from the interactive aspects why would I spend ¥ 4000 yen as I live in England and I will not be visiting this place often so apart from getting a school that I can see why would I get to watch? 2. The band will work at both parks, but you will need to download the specific app and register for each park. The earned points will not travel between parks, however. You have to start over at 0 because each one is a separate account.
My childhood self would be overjoyed at this, and i'm still overjoyed because i've been a huge mario fan since i was a kid. I turned 19 this year and i still want to visit nintendo land
I think there’s three other ways to get a key, when you find all the 8 bit characters, hitting all the blocks upstairs, and on the binoculars zooming in on the air ship by the clouds in the sky

Hi Joanne! The band will work, but you would need to download the specific app and register for each park. Since the earned points will not travel between parks, you would have to start over at 0 because each one is a separate account. I hope this helps!
After visiting both Nintendo Worlds in Japan and Hollywood, I feel that both parks are better in their own ways. In Japan, there is a lot more different activities to do, with more variety of different foods that are way better than Hollywood's Toadstool Cafe (Except for the Burgers, Hollywood does them better), and rides like Mario Kart, compared to Hollywood, takes less time to line up for than in Hollywood. If you are lucky, you can get in to Japan's Nintendo World as early as 7:30am in the morning. However, unlike Hollywood, there are some days where you MUST book a Timed Entry Ticket (Virtual Line) in order to get to the park, and sometimes you must go to a specialized kiosk to book them. Meeting mascots (except Toad) is much stricter, due to the fact that unlike Hollywood, you are not allowed to have your phone to take pictures with mascots, you must stand in a specific position when you meet mascots, you must pose how the mascot poses for pictures, and you must pay 6000 yen for pictures.
I would check Ebay. I'm sure numerous people have bought the band and don't plan to go back regularly especially if they're not annual pass holders or live on close proximity.
A very important tip: go to the japanese one instead, they have one more ride + a really cool princess peach dessert! It's the one from super mario 64, the original cake.
That's cool and all, but what are the points for ..? Do you get anything for doing the "hidden challenges" ? (Please for the love of god don't tell me people are doing this just to get a mario pen or something useless like that...)
I got there at 8am sharp and there were already 300+ people in line to Mario Land. After you get into the land, it's an additional 120 to 180 minute wait. Another mistake, don't go to Universal during spring break season! Since I have a pass, I skipped Mario and enjoyed 10 min wait times on all the rides at the rest of the park.
