Mr. AmusementLabs, do you have any theories on maybe why parks/coaster manufacturers have not yet built a ride with the first drop going really deep into the ground to make the drop even bigger without having to just build the lift hill taller and taller? seems like it would be easier and possibly even cheaper to just make the first drop go further into the ground.
Intamin had a similar heartline roll on Maverick when they built it but during testing it was deemed too intense for humans so it was removed for an S-curve. I'm glad this element made it into the real world, even if it took 15 years.
Fair warning to those who have not rode this ride yet but plan on it: your butt will lose contact with your seat. Don’t worry, your safe even though it may not feel that way at the time. The “lap” restraint is more like a leg restraint.
Yeah, lots of people keep saying they're "legit about to fall out", it's designed to give that sensation, but in order to fall out you would have to break both your femurs.
that was easily the most unsettling thing about this ride, is how much my butt was off the seat! it definitely has the sensation of 'coming out of the seat.' Incredible ride though wowee
I haven’t went on a rollercoaster yet, the last time I had an opportunity to, I was scared, it was at Disney World, but I need to start slow and work my way up, and one day, go on it.
Just rode both rides last week & yes the hulk was more relaxed i was even screaming go faster lol but Velocicoaster was something else and it’s the best
Once we got to the park we rode hulk. I thought it was insane. Then we went to velocicoaster. Lets just say that the hulk made me feel relaxed when we rode it after.
I work at universal and can tell you that the Velicoaster is by far the greatest ride we have. Everyday when I clock out I go and ride it. I tell every guest that comes in to at least give it a try once, even if they don’t like coasters. Great video and very informative!
Looking at the video, it looks like the right side might experience more intense ejector time on that roll. But I can’t tell for sure… do you have an opinion on sides and also best row?
Definitely encouraging! I love Hagrids, Mummy, and Cosmic Rewind and i want something bigger, so maybe Hulk first? But i genuinely wanna ride Velocicoaster
most intense ride ive ever been on, the engineers & designers killed it with this. pure adrenaline from start to finish, thank you for making this video it makes me appreciate it even more!!
Just rode this 5 times last week and it's easily my favorite coaster ever! This ride uses some cool technology but I have to mention a funny thing I noticed. In the breaking section at the very end on the lower right side I noticed what looked like a literal garden hose spraying onto the track and just pouring to the ground and I thought it looked out of place. That night my wife saw an article saying they are still having a ha rd time keeping the track cool and it is indeed a literal garden hose just spraying the track lol. Sometimes you have to go back to the basics!
Yes, this is true. Since the ride doesn't have a rolling station or more ideal: more block brakes the trains sit for a bit. Most of the ride is uncovered which is bad in the Florida heat for steel. Idk who decided to paint the entire ride black in the Florida heat, but it's certainly not doing it any favors in terms of cooling. The wheels are a polyurethane which has a low glass transition temp. When they're in contact with the hot black steel for an extended period of time, they can develop level spots and that makes the wheels rapidly deteriorate since they're no longer round.
They're looking to replace the wheels right now with something more resistant to heat, but that's the one benefit of polyurethane, it's a bit soft and makes it ride faster. The best they can do right now is to keep the track cold with water. It hasn't been floated, but I seriously think they may end up painting the track a different color if the new wheels don't do the trick.
@@AmusementLabs thanks for the insight. But yeah I thought it was an interesting little thing especially talking about hydro cooling and such. It was funny seeing this high tech multi million dollar ride with a garden hose spraying it lol. The ride is SOOOO smooth on that thing it's amazing. The hulk and rip ride rocket along with most others bang you around a bit, velocicoaster is intense but as smooth as butter it's impressive.
Me every time I watch a coaster video: this one doesn’t look that intense, maybe I’ll ride it if I have a chance The people in the comments: This is the most intense ride I’ve ever been on
I watched videos before I rode it, then the first time I rode it I made all of my friends get on it with me, then downplayed the whole thing to them as we were waiting to launch. As soon as we took off, I was the main one screaming. Def listen to the comments lmao
I'm 48 and have been going on coasters my whole life, and this one is VERY different and very intense. I don't like that your feet don't touch the bottom, but after my first ride, I put my feet up against the front wall and held them there during the ride, and I felt much more secure.
You have to remember most people are big chickens when it comes to rides, if you think any ride is scary at Magic Mountain California I would not go by your standards of what is scary. So far no roller coaster has made me feel intense, I’ve been to Universal studios Hollywood, Santa Cruz Beachboard walk, Cedar Fair Great America, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Disneyland, California Adventure, Knotts Berry Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain not one Rollercoaster has scared me, they are fun I feel like I’m flying.
A+ attraction, one of the best roller coasters in the world imo. It’s so “well-rounded”. It’s fast, intense, it’s got awesome inversions, the trains are comfy, and the theming is dope!
I went on a Orlando tour with my high school band not even a week ago (got back yesterday) and we visited universal. Now I have never been on an upside down roller coaster so I mustered up some courage and went on this in the very front row. All I can say is, I’m glad I did not back out and let my fear get the best of me. It was truly an amazing experience for my first upside down ride and I highly recommend it! God bless y’all and enjoy life!
I’m headed there again for a third day in December. I genuinely wanna ride this. Idk if i wanna warm up and try Hulk for my first upside down or yolo it and do Velocicoaster first
This was my first ever coaster i have ever been on. It was such a great experience and it was sooo intense for someone that hasnt experienced any kind of roll over or a drop in a coaster. That roll over above the water was such a great detail, it makes u feel like ur just gonna fly out of the coaster. Highly recommend riding this.
I'm an engineer and i was always curious about the acceleration and the magnets. Your explanation was super on point. thank you for putting this video together. I want to ride the Velocicoaster even more now! Lol.
@@nickandrews4545 omg lol.. i’m taking my son in july and it’s just me and him so he’s gonna want me to ride stuff with him. I’m scared i’m gonna pass out lol. i don’t want my damn heart to stop😂 So that corkscrew must have zero g feeling smh.
rollercoasters have never scared me or leave me unsettled afterward but i will admit, i was very surprised the second time the rollercoaster sped up out of no where, also the rollercoaster does have lots of technology issues, while i was at universal it seemed to have a technical issue downtime a least 2 times a day
I worked on it while I was an apprentice. Didn't seem to have TOOO many bugs, thats Hagrid's:) (nothing serious, it is just a ride with a LOT of elements and hence greater potential for problems) Its a helluva thing when you can end your work night with a ride! It had some finicky little bugs (insider info: ALL rides have "bugs") but nothing at all serious, more like the lighting and the shotgun gates. Occasionally you get a hiccup with the LSMs but that is to be expected. Overall (and especially for an Intamin) its a pretty reliable ride, I think Intamin is really perfecting the blitz coaster and I expect (hope) that all future blitzes from Intamin will be fairly reliable.
I’ve been on the Velosicoaster 4 times and I loved it and didn’t really feel like I was gonna fall off my seat. It didn’t look safe but it definitely was.
I have loved coasters since the first time I rode one. The first time I rode a B&M hyper, I was stunned. The height, the speed, the sheer momentum. Even though they lack inversions, it's everything that makes roller coasters great, distilled into the most pure elements. I thought it couldn't get any better. Until I rode Velocicoaster. That ride is a game changer. Not a foot of track is wasted. So far this year I've ridden it about 20 times. My wife asked me if I've gotten tired of it. Not at all. Every time I notice something different about the ride, the queue, the theming... The attention to detail is just incredible. Like it was just pointed out to me that the Raptor Encounter attraction is right next to the second launch of Velocicoaster, and there's even a track in the path between the two. Raptors go from the raptor encounter into the paddock. Subtle theming, but incredible attention to small details. I love this ride.
That 3d printed demonstration is awesome! A cg 3d model would have been good, but to actually film and manipulate it physically is next level. Very well done!
I've definitely done CG models, but I wanted to print this one out cause it's a good shelf piece and a good conversation starter. I'm trying to start a club at my school and it'd be a great demonstration thing to have.
this coaster is easily one of the best here in the states, i hope theres more like this! an amazing queue i dont mind spending hours in, good preshows that make sense and are easy to understand, a good showscene that never fails to excite me, and an insane track that will leave you thinking was that even real
Hours?! I started in the outside que and only waited about 45 (worthwhile) minutes But I wouldn’t mind waiting hours this is the best coaster I’ve ever ridden
@@zoefisher5319 they meant that they wouldn’t mind spending hours in the queue because of how entertaining it is, they didn’t say they spent hours in the queue
My thoughts exactly, i thought i was dreaming on half of that cause it was so crazy. I never clenched my teeth on a ride before but this one made me feel like it was the first time on a coaster. Remember to breath! Haha
I just got home from Orlando yesterday and rode the velocicoaster and incredible hulk as many times as I possibly could while there! Velocicoaster is THE BEST rollercoaster I've ever experienced and couldn't get enough! 🤩🙃
As an Ohio native who loves Maverick, I found it funny that people were letting out sighs of relief when we hit that middle station. I immediately knew what was about to happen at the acceleration strip and it hits even harder than Mavericks does. Amazing coaster.
I can't wait to try both Hagrid and Velocicoaster in a few months then hop over to the studios at night for HHNs return and the Beetlejuice haunted house. I love Universal and they are knocking it out of the park lately.
The Beetlejuice house was awesome! I have yet to get on the Velocicoaster. :( I'm a total baby when it comes to coasters. lol By the looks of it, it seems AMAZING. It's also very pleasing to look at.
Great work as always! Love the little inside jokes like osprey nest and churros! Also, great explanation of the LSM fins, and really cool recreation you made to illustrate what's inside them.
I was out of my seat 5 times. I don't know if everyone has that experience. I'm sure it had to do with my gut and not being able to get the lap bar further down. But definitely worth the hype. 2nd launch delivered for sure.
At the end of a block section is a method to stop a train, in case the block zone ahead is still occupied. This is the safety method that keeps roller coaster trains from colliding with one another.
Rode it for the first time over the weekend without ever having researched it, and it was also night. The second launch absolutely made my heart stop, wasn't expecting that!
The scariest and one of the best parts for me was the tiny handles you had instead of huge over the shoulder ones, I went for the first time last week, honestly 10/10 coaster, I love launch coasters
If any of you guys are looking for speed, this is the ride for you. I rode on the VelociCoaster three times, and it is by far my favorite ride I have ever rode. What I look for in a ride is super fast and pretty intense, and the VelociCoaster was both of those. I would totally recommend it to anyone who likes awesome coasters!
Great video! Minor nitpick though, the station is actually themed with the style of the Indominus paddock observation deck unlike the other structures of the ride; the raptor paddock seen in the film only has overhead metal walkways rather than a dedicated viewing area
I rode it the other day, and this ride is by far the best coaster I’ve been on. As a huge JP Fan, being able to ride along side the Velociraptors AND seeing lifelike animatronics of Blue and Delta just gave me an amazing feeling.
The way you go above and beyond by printing out 3D models to show how the tech works is so inspiring to me, thank you for all the work you do to make these informative and interesting
Out of over 100 coasters I’ve been on, this is easily my favorite it is just amazing. The queue is so cool and I never got bored in it. It has very good restraints and the ride is just so good, the inversions, launches, and theming, this is just a masterpiece!!!
After this incredible experience I don’t think I can ride anything else without longing for this coaster. It’s way more smooth than the Hulk and my head doesn’t ping pong between the seats, there isn’t anything like it. The engineering is immaculate like a lot of other people said that moment where you’re over the water is once in a lifetime adrenaline.
I just rode this coaster twice and it’s absolutely incredible! Easily one of the best coasters I’ve ever been on. Probably the best ever. The last hang time over the lagoon is the best element but all of them are breathtaking! The two acceleration points, cresting the top hat, multiple points of airtime, the raptor encounters, the overall theming and the actual moving raptors in the queue all make this by far the best ride at Universal. I can’t recommend this enough. You HAVE to ride it!
This was the scariest coaster I’ve ever been on but strangely I kept going back on. I have connects at the park so I ended up riding this thing 4 times in 1 day. I had to keep riding just to process everything bc it felt unreal…..the second launch??? The corkscrew over the water???? Beautiful ride and probably my fave coaster of all time. It’s an AMAZING addition to the Jurassic park area too, as I’ve always felt like there was something missing from that section.
Looks like you caught Ordinary Adventures in the background of your video at 4:02 It’d be cool to spot yourself in the background of somebody else’s video
I very much like the editing and length of How It Works videos. Information is not repeated ad nauseum, footage is always relevant, and the models of track mechanisms are novel and appreciated.
Had never been on a rollercoaster before. Then in a week rode everything Disney World and Universal had to offer. This one was the only one that straight up scared me. Only one we got front seats for too.
went to universal last week with my mom, made her get on the ride with me since we both like coasters. after that ride she didn't want to ride anymore coasters rest of the trip. my favorite ride atm hands down very fun
This is UNREALISTICALLY GOOD! I finally tried it today, after waiting along months. When I saw it by my eyes, I went into serious fear. It is giant. Threatening. Furious. I thought I was going to faint when my time was coming in the lane kkk. But when me and my boyfriend road it, we loved it SO, SO MUCH that we road it 4 times in a row. It’s simply WONDERFUL. It’s so much fast, I can’t explain how much fast it is. The acceleration is insane. The second launch is unbelievably fast. But it’s SMOOTH, wonderfully fluid. There are no impacts, there is no pression on your head after drops ou corners, things that you expect from a intense roller coaster. No. This is not it’s vibe, you barely feel the rail. Maybe the meaning of the ride is to make you feel that you are flying or something, honestly! In a magical way. I didn’t feel scared when I was riding it. I felt only wellness and hapiness. So many times my butt went out of the seat, and usually I hate that, but here it is organic, funny, light. It seems like you are part of the roller coaster or something like that. Unexplicable! By far the best ride I have ever been on, including Hulk and these legendary roads from US. If you have the opportunity, just RIDE IT!
I love this coaster just rode it for my first time today I was so nervous for the drop at first but when I got on the ride is so fast you don’t even feel the drop it’s a whole new feeling it’s amazing just try to keep your eyes open because it’s really cool don’t be scared try it out 🙂
Yeh usually I don't just subscribe after seeing 1 video but the detail and effort you put into demonstrating the LSM fins is unmatched. I understood them before but it's safe to say I understand them much better now. Such an awesome ride. Need to make my way from the UK and get on this thing. Went there in 2015 and loved Hulk and the 2 B&M Inverted coasters that were later demolished, but this and Hagrid's are so innovative and worthy of another trip. Subbed.
Thank you, I like making little demo pieces like that and it seemed like the perfect opportunity. Yeah, they both seem to be the perfect additions for the area. That's why I tend to give more props to Universal for actually taking guest feedback and improving past the Jimmy Fallon and F&F flops.
@@AmusementLabs Spot on. Its nice to see them making really positive additions. I've kept a closer eye on USO because of my previous trip.. and I was in my mid teens at the time. Would be lying if I said I wasn't gutted that the aforementioned coasters weren't there on my visit, but regardless, it's cool seeing it. I remember thinking all this place needs is another high-thrill attraction and they came out with Hagrid's and now this. Good stuff.
@@Gakpolice yeah, it's a great addition and back to back set of rides. It's probably gonna be the last for a while because ultimately they're gonna be opening Epic Universe within the next 4 or so years which loads of new stuff.
@@AmusementLabs Yup would make sense. Wish Thorpe Park/Alton Towers were as trigger happy with new coasters. Almost been a decade since The Swarm and only a couple at AT past decade.. quite frustrating. ICON at Blackpool sure, but this country needs a state-of-the-art coaster like Velocicoaster to satisfy our cravings 😅
Hands down the best ride of all time. The roll over on the lagoon, it's unlike anything I have ever experienced. You basically become weightless while spinning, it's weird. And it's the smoothest coaster I've ever been on. Chang is my number 2, but this badboy blows that out the water.
My request for the next one is the TTA Peoplemover, the one that's still running, maybe try to track down some maintenance bay or storage bay footage, that would be awesome to see.
This ride is INSANE! The drop, launches, Dino’s, and inversions make this worth the wait. We got express pass and still waited half an hour but I would gladly get back in line and do this ride over and over again. Best roller coaster I have ever been on.
I’m not sure when you rode it but if you rode it during passholder preview or when it was first opened it was running slower and felt much less fun to me. I went on it again recently and it was much much better
I rode this last week, and it was the scariest coaster I've ever been on! Your rear end leaves the seat multiple times, and with just the lap bar, it does NOT feel safe! I'm sure it is, but your nerves will not think so when you're riding! Definitely recommend!
Rode it today, broke down for about 10-15 minutes while waiting but after they got it going again it was well worth the wait,we even discussed riding a second time,by far the best roller coaster I’ve ever ridden,so fast, crazy turns, floating in your seat and rolls over water make it crazy fun
Hey - just a correction about the animatronic raptors in the queue - they were actually produced by Creature Technology Co. Cheers for the great videos!
@@ralphedgerton4002 it certainly is, but often many companies aren't allowed to talk about their work or advertise that they helped in any way so it's difficult to hunt stuff down to the T.
My husband is a big coaster fan. After riding this coaster he instantly said it was one of the most intense amazing coasters he ever rode! (only being topped by X2 at Magic Mountain). Having so much airtime and only having a lap bar to keep you in was really awesome.
Never been so scared of a coaster in my life! I was shaken after Hulk then rode this. I was terrified when I got off and told my wife never again! 33 year old male and not scared to admit this lol
i used to HATE rollercoasters, so once i forced myself to ride ripe ride rocket, i never looked back. This IS the best thrill in Islands of Adventure IMO, next to Hagrid’s.
I really enjoyed some of the details in the video although I feel like you skipped over what I consider the best locker design at UO. It's not until close to load (so you have your stuff for most of the line), and the lockers themselves are double sided, so the entry and exit crowds never mix.
yes i always end up bringing my phone on coasters there because it’s a long line and i don’t wanna be too bored. i’m glad they fixed this locker issue on the new ride
went on velocicoaster a week after it came out in june of 2021 cuz we were in florida for few weeks and we went to universal everyday and went on this ride and never got sick of it, we went back in february of this year and it was so fun, velocicoaster is so fun and the best at night and when its raining
it's neat they actually left it up there. Ospreys had started to build a nest high on the coaster during construction, and since the bird is a protected species, Universal just left it alone and built around it :)
@@eclipsehorse8693 no, they built it a new home nearby. They did not change their planned construction of the coaster to allow a nest on the track. www.vanityfair.com/style/2021/03/how-raptor-themed-rollercoaster-got-attacked-by-actual-raptors
I rode it without any spoil nor any idea of the layout. And man, that was good. The surprise added so much to the intensity of the ride. I was screaming of joy the whole time but nearly lost my voice with the second launch coming from nowhere. Never screamed so high in a coaster my whole life, from the heart. My best coaster ever. To bad I'm from France and I have really few chances to ride it again. But the good thing is Intamin is building a multi launch coaster of the same type in France and I can't wait. Ps: I will never spoil myself with ride video again now.
Hey, this has Carlye Wisel and Brooke McDonald riding the coaster! They covered this extensively on their instagrams so it’s cool to see footage of them on it on here! Great video as always! Very informative!
Sounds pretty good. I remember being pretty unimpressed with Universal's selection of coasters last time I went there. This one looks like it'll actually keep me awake.

Went on this yesterday. So much fun! Imo it was the best ride there. The hulk was my favorite the last time I went years ago, but after going on this I have to say it's my new favorite hands down.
I’m 25 years old and up until now you couldn’t get me to ride any roller coaster. I got on my first roller coaster(s) two days ago. The Velocoaster being one of them.. OFFICIALLY MY NEW FAVORITE RIDE AT ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE! CAN’T WAIT TO RIDE AGAIN!
i rode this ride 3 times in the first week it opened and since then i’ve rode it atleast 5 other times!! it is my favorite (although my dad and boyfriend both refuse to ride it)! i have brittle bones, but love riding roller coasters at universal because i know i am safe, even on this one!
Great info on an amazing ride! But um, how are the lap bars locked in place? We rode it 4 times about 3 weeks ago and it was a blast. But that last time my 8yo was sitting in front of me instead of beside. The second he put his little hands in the air, I became hyper aware that seemingly only a set of hinges was keeping his butt in that seat. It genuinely gave me nightmares. So can someone please tell me about multitude of locking mechanisms that keep you from being tossed into the lake? Please and thank you!
It's mechanical. There's a latching tooth that is prevented from moving by a pawl. The restraint would have to shear off the steel pawl in order to even move a bit, but there's 2 for redundancy. In order to slip out of the restraints, you would have to break both your femurs.
@@AmusementLabs I know this is old but this is actually incorrect. What you just described is a “ratcheting” restraint which clicks going down, and is held by a latching tooth. This rollercoaster uses HYDRAULIC restraints, which are restraints that freely move and are held in place by multiple hydraulic locks, which are the same hydraulic locks used on airplanes. Basically, these hydraulic locks are FAR more secure than ratcheting locks and are actually even safer than what you described!

Also the "they spent HOW MUCH MONEY, AND tore down Dragon Challenge...FOR THIS-THe Coaster"
I was on that part as soon as I read your comment 😂
The roll over the water literally made it feel like time stopped. I remember feeling like being there for several seconds
Me every time I watch a coaster video: this one doesn’t look that intense, maybe I’ll ride it if I have a chance
The people in the comments: This is the most intense ride I’ve ever been on
Your butt is rarely touching the seat. This ride is very high thrill and amazing!
Videos do not do this coaster justice.
That ride made me question the engineering that went into designing it I felt THAT close to death. I will never stop riding it
This one was my second roller coaster ride in my whole life💀
Fr, legit my first roller coaster and I thought I was gonna die. It was such experience, especially since it was at night too.
The last inversion made me hang on for dear life
You need to ride X2 in six flags magic mountain if you haven’t already if you like that feeling. X2 is insane
@@MenatllyIllEngineer I would rather eat a brick then go to six flags
Legit had the same experience, got back yesterday
I’m headed there again for a third day in December. I genuinely wanna ride this. Idk if i wanna warm up and try Hulk for my first upside down or yolo it and do Velocicoaster first

Update??@@amyburkum7602
This was my first ever coaster i have ever been on. It was such a great experience and it was sooo intense for someone that hasnt experienced any kind of roll over or a drop in a coaster. That roll over above the water was such a great detail, it makes u feel like ur just gonna fly out of the coaster. Highly recommend riding this.
I'm an engineer and i was always curious about the acceleration and the magnets. Your explanation was super on point. thank you for putting this video together. I want to ride the Velocicoaster even more now! Lol.
This ride is insane. Now watching videos after riding it on Tuesday, the videos just can't convey how intense this thing is.
So u get that i can’t breathe stomach drop feeling the entire ride??
@@vakisharachel9541 no, not the whole thing. But it is pretty crazy. The right corkscrew at the end is the worst/best part.
@@nickandrews4545 omg lol.. i’m taking my son in july and it’s just me and him so he’s gonna want me to ride stuff with him. I’m scared i’m gonna pass out lol. i don’t want my damn heart to stop😂 So that corkscrew must have zero g feeling smh.
rollercoasters have never scared me or leave me unsettled afterward but i will admit, i was very surprised the second time the rollercoaster sped up out of no where, also the rollercoaster does have lots of technology issues, while i was at universal it seemed to have a technical issue downtime a least 2 times a day
THE SECOND TIME NEARLY TOOK ME OOOOUT
They're Magnetic LSM Launches, they don't just speed up out of nowhere.
Talk about an underrated channel. This video was incredible, your best yet. I can’t wait for this video to blow up, cause it will!!
@@AmusementLabs Yeah, definitely. I had no idea LSM motors were so complex inside. Makes me appreciate Maverick even more. Good luck with the club! 👍
this coaster is easily one of the best here in the states, i hope theres more like this! an amazing queue i dont mind spending hours in, good preshows that make sense and are easy to understand, a good showscene that never fails to excite me, and an insane track that will leave you thinking was that even real
Hours?! I started in the outside que and only waited about 45 (worthwhile) minutes
But I wouldn’t mind waiting hours this is the best coaster I’ve ever ridden
that corkscrew climb hits insanely different at night. not to mention the feeling of a free fall it gives you
As an Ohio native who loves Maverick, I found it funny that people were letting out sighs of relief when we hit that middle station. I immediately knew what was about to happen at the acceleration strip and it hits even harder than Mavericks does. Amazing coaster.
My favorite unintended humor line: "plus it's cheap".
I can't wait to try both Hagrid and Velocicoaster in a few months then hop over to the studios at night for HHNs return and the Beetlejuice haunted house. I love Universal and they are knocking it out of the park lately.
Hagrid was my favorite
The Beetlejuice house was awesome! I have yet to get on the Velocicoaster. :( I'm a total baby when it comes to coasters. lol By the looks of it, it seems AMAZING. It's also very pleasing to look at.
How was it?
One of the greatest coasters of all time! Definitely in my top 5!
Great work as always! Love the little inside jokes like osprey nest and churros! Also, great explanation of the LSM fins, and really cool recreation you made to illustrate what's inside them.
Thank you! 😁 If you have a printer (you can find them for
I was out of my seat 5 times. I don't know if everyone has that experience. I'm sure it had to do with my gut and not being able to get the lap bar further down. But definitely worth the hype. 2nd launch delivered for sure.
My butt wasnt in my seat much. Loved it!
Absolutely the most intense coaster I've ever been on. I can usually ride over and over, but just 1 was almost too much for me lol
Call El Toro Ryan someone's talking about block sections again
for those of you who don’t know, a block section is a part of the track that only 1 car can be on at a time.
Thanks for the shout! What an incredible video you put together
The scariest and one of the best parts for me was the tiny handles you had instead of huge over the shoulder ones, I went for the first time last week, honestly 10/10 coaster, I love launch coasters
Went on this before it opened and excited to watch
Same
Same
Yeah? Well I went on it before they even built it, so there!
same, it was hella smooth
@@xphyle I went on it before it was conceived by Ally Mcbean.
I'm still in awe how fast this was built. The best coaster I've been in hand down!
Ooooh, you're totally right. 🤦♂️
Your videos get me so hyped for our trip to Universal & Disney in Florida in October! Thank you for the educational & chill content 🤗

Really appreciate the LSM breakdown, always wondered how that worked
Rode this ride twice last month, its definitely worth the wait
went to universal last week with my mom, made her get on the ride with me since we both like coasters. after that ride she didn't want to ride anymore coasters rest of the trip. my favorite ride atm hands down very fun
That roll over the water looks so amazing. Looking forward to riding this.
These vids are so well produced👏🏼👏🏼 That LSM model is really useful as there aren’t many good explanations for them out there on the web👌
I love this coaster just rode it for my first time today I was so nervous for the drop at first but when I got on the ride is so fast you don’t even feel the drop it’s a whole new feeling it’s amazing just try to keep your eyes open because it’s really cool don’t be scared try it out 🙂
This ride reaches in and taps your soul. Your very much alive once you get off.
I just rode this ride a few days ago and it was amazing. It goes so fast it literally feels like your floating.
Velocicoaster was not so scary to me. The Hagrid ride was scarier, I think.
Yeah I could see the spike and the drop track really scaring people.
I’m not sure when you rode it but if you rode it during passholder preview or when it was first opened it was running slower and felt much less fun to me. I went on it again recently and it was much much better
Yeah I been on both. I definitely disagree with you on this.
@@iananderson8431 It was this November
Lol.
I rode this last week, and it was the scariest coaster I've ever been on! Your rear end leaves the seat multiple times, and with just the lap bar, it does NOT feel safe! I'm sure it is, but your nerves will not think so when you're riding! Definitely recommend!

Ran this today and also Hagrids motorcycle, both ran flawlessly and were two of the smoothest rides I've been on.
I really enjoyed some of the details in the video although I feel like you skipped over what I consider the best locker design at UO. It's not until close to load (so you have your stuff for most of the line), and the lockers themselves are double sided, so the entry and exit crowds never mix.
yes i always end up bringing my phone on coasters there because it’s a long line and i don’t wanna be too bored. i’m glad they fixed this locker issue on the new ride
the first time i went on it i didn’t realize the lockers were double sided & i was so confused looking 4 my bag 😭

“…slowing at the osprey nest,…” So funny!
it's neat they actually left it up there.

The model you created is such a nice feature of the video!

Gotta admit, this ride is amazing! There is no doubt in my mind as of my opinion on this ride, THE BEST RIDE EVER! It’s crazy!
Can you do your next one on the Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland please?
i rode this ride 3 times in the first week it opened and since then i’ve rode it atleast 5 other times!! it is my favorite (although my dad and boyfriend both refuse to ride it)! i have brittle bones, but love riding roller coasters at universal because i know i am safe, even on this one!
“But there’s 2 for redundancy”. I figured there was, but when you can’t see it. 😬. Thank you!
@@coastercarson from the station audio I've heard there was a distinct sound they made going down.
Okay but the pass through lockers are so fucking great. It’s the best storage system I’ve ever experienced on a ride
