In order to achieve ergonomic experience in your office chair, firstly, adjust the armrests to be desired 90 degree so that your arms dont feel unsupported/overly bent (i adjust it at just level 3/4). Secondly, raise the seat so that the armrests are at the same level with the table. If your feet is hanging, consider buying footrest or put some books below so your feet are planted firmly on the floor. Keep adjusting the chair to get the most comfortable position.

I noticed that when you sit in the chair your back is not againist the back of the chair, and your head is tlited forward. Have you been able to find a chair that supports your head and back while you sit upright with good posture?
I think you should buy a hydraulic powered adjustable table. Your problems with the arm rests does not lie on the chair itself but due to your table being unadjustable.
True, I could get a new table but that's added cost I don't want to get into. The fact that this chair has more height than that of the Herman Miller Aeron gives it a little bit more room for those of us who use old family tables or tables which are technically not work desks. I had a less professional set up a year ago

Nordic stuff are cool! Just make sure you are comfortable. I've seen some Nordic chairs with fixed arm supports. In this day and age, arm supports which at least go up and down for an office chair are non negotiable.

i've been using a mesh chair and it long last more than 7 years and it cost 2,500 before. Yes! mesh is so much better than leather even if it has a good brand..
How is the comfort / cooling tradeoff between a padded foam (?) seat like this one vs a mesh only seat ala Aeron? Im sure it's still better than fake leather, but does the seat padding make you sweat during long sessions without the AC on?

I have a different chair but I can attest to the value of the WHEELS he mentioned in the review. It really elevated the quality of my cheapo office chair.
I have the newer version of the chair with the modified arm rest. I've had it for more than 2 years now, issues that I've had so far is the gas lift which I was able to request for a new one free of charge and the arm rest which is now crumbly and really need a replacement. Problem is they don't have a replacement part for the arm rest anymore :(

What was your problem with the gas lift? That's one of my worries with chairs. Gas lifts tend to lose strength over time. My current chair (which to be fair is priced at 2k) already doesn't support me as well as it did when i bought it-it lowers down simply by sitting on it. It's been only a few months. Also, how were you able to get it replaced free of charge? Warranty?
@@laboratory009123 It just didn't work haha. It didn't lift anymore when pressed and it stayed on the lowest height/settings. I just sent an e-mail with attached product details to their CSR. It took a while but I did not pay anything, even shipping. :)
Hope you also review the sihoo m57, new to this ergo thing and now from my monoblock to that, now i can sit comfortably, and next hopefully is the table next cause my fat legs is hitting the drawers since the table is from my lolo but its demn sturdy XD
Ahhh I remember similar days. Hassle nga ng drawers. It took me 30 years to upgrade from my childhood desk to the new desk as seen in the video. The upgrade is more satisfying the longer you stay with an older setup.😂 also used my lolos desk. Will check out the sihoo

Damn, I wish I didn't settle for a cheaper office chair and saved up for this specific chair. My chair's creaking with the slightest movement and the wheels don't even work that well, I have to get my chair up for it to move like,,,,, what even is the point of this chair LMAO. Did not know you could change the wheels tho so I'd definitely replace mine. Nice review man!
Yeah, I was scared changing my wheels at first but they come right off. If they don't you can use a screwdriver to pry it off. Lots of videos on youtube showing how. :) you may want to check out those wheels we recommended before you decide to buy a new chair. Worst case, you can recycle those wheels when you get a new chair!
We have the same regrets. LOL. I bought mine for 3k php because I got baited on what the reviews was on it's lazada page. Now it's both a rocking and a creaking chair. Worst part for me is it doesn't feel like it has any back support at all so here I am playing with a poor posture.

This is a good find. Almost every recommendation I see is like Sihoo this and Sihoo that. I'm actually using a who-knows-how-old hand me down ergo chair and I agree that it's very sturdy. But I need a newer adjustable chair, and this one is out of stock. Probably cause of this video, lol.
I never even thought to think how lucky I was with this random chair I also got well before I cared about chairs to begin with. So, you and I are on the same level! I am however also reviewing the Sihho chair right now. Sihoo has more of a brand name now that people feel reassured of. Not that I have heard anything about this brand until this year. :P

The aftermarket casters look bigger than those that came stock with the chair, so using aftermarket caster wheels will increase the height by an inch or two, right?

Thank you for tuning in! The sihoo m57 lumbar support is better than the ergonomic. I had to buy a separate pillow cushion for my lumbar with the ergodynamic. However the ergodynamic reclined furthest and is taller. Something to keep in mind. Comfort for working while sitting up straight I give to thr sihoo m57

After doing some "consumer stuff", I found out that the seller couldn't care less if you're going to buy it or not. They weren't replying to my messages at all. I also saw a review that tackled how suspicious the packaging is. According to the buyer, "This doesn't seem brand new." There is also a review about the "2 year warranty guaranteed," and it's all bullshit. The buyer owned the chair for 2 months. Once the reclining got stuck, they couldn't contact the store. So if you're going to buy this chair, go to the damn store.
We all had our fare share of issues because of manpower issues due to the pandemic, Globe, Smart, Pldt and even us considering we are smaller than these companies… hoping that clients can take care to buy only from our official stores in lazada and shopee or our website or better yet as you mentioned, best to visit our store. We do provide 1 year warranty for the Ehc-420 and Ehc-80 and we do offer better warranties for both chairs up to 5 years but with different price points. Usually the same is provided to project based corporate clients who can afford to pay a premium for the same chairs. Hope you can try it out yourself!
I have an office chair that was bought from a warehouse store in Paco, Manila more than 3 years ago that looks like your mesh chair minus the adjustable arm and head support. I am a bit on the heavy side so I don't think I have ever attempted to lean back like what you were doing here (because I fear for my safety lol) no matter how much I really wanted to do some reclining action while resting. I was seriously tempted to buy a gaming chair recently because of how cool they look and how they seem to be so functional and "ergonomic" but because of this video, I now think they are overrated and will just find an actual ergonomic mesh chair similar to yours. Forget the chair. That is one bad-ass looking face shield! Seems to provide complete coverage and protection, compared to those Hengde-branded and other El Cheapo ones. Mind sharing where you got that and for how much?

I have dish washing liquid and a sponge in the shower so when I come back from the outside I disinfect it the same time as I shower and then I leave it to dry covered with soap suds for the whole day. Looks overkill but i don't mind coz I feel it adds some degree of extra protection (albeit sometimes psychological :p) going 1.3 years na tong shield.
This was an extremely good video :) another thing if you are extremely worried about your ergonomics, try to get a keyboard that is split in half and you can tuck each one towards you so your wrists don’t have to tuck in and twist to type, if you are typing for hours a day just something like this will help you a lot :)

The aftermarket casters look bigger than those that came stock with the chair, so using aftermarket caster wheels will increase the height by an inch or two, right?

Thank you for tuning in! The sihoo m57 lumbar support is better than the ergonomic. I had to buy a separate pillow cushion for my lumbar with the ergodynamic. However the ergodynamic reclined furthest and is taller. Something to keep in mind. Comfort for working while sitting up straight I give to thr sihoo m57

After doing some "consumer stuff", I found out that the seller couldn't care less if you're going to buy it or not. They weren't replying to my messages at all. I also saw a review that tackled how suspicious the packaging is. According to the buyer, "This doesn't seem brand new." There is also a review about the "2 year warranty guaranteed," and it's all bullshit. The buyer owned the chair for 2 months. Once the reclining got stuck, they couldn't contact the store. So if you're going to buy this chair, go to the damn store.
We all had our fare share of issues because of manpower issues due to the pandemic, Globe, Smart, Pldt and even us considering we are smaller than these companies… hoping that clients can take care to buy only from our official stores in lazada and shopee or our website or better yet as you mentioned, best to visit our store. We do provide 1 year warranty for the Ehc-420 and Ehc-80 and we do offer better warranties for both chairs up to 5 years but with different price points. Usually the same is provided to project based corporate clients who can afford to pay a premium for the same chairs. Hope you can try it out yourself!

I have an office chair that was bought from a warehouse store in Paco, Manila more than 3 years ago that looks like your mesh chair minus the adjustable arm and head support. I am a bit on the heavy side so I don't think I have ever attempted to lean back like what you were doing here (because I fear for my safety lol) no matter how much I really wanted to do some reclining action while resting. I was seriously tempted to buy a gaming chair recently because of how cool they look and how they seem to be so functional and "ergonomic" but because of this video, I now think they are overrated and will just find an actual ergonomic mesh chair similar to yours. Forget the chair. That is one bad-ass looking face shield! Seems to provide complete coverage and protection, compared to those Hengde-branded and other El Cheapo ones. Mind sharing where you got that and for how much?

Hahahaha. Yes people comment regularly about my face shield. But it has goggles so it's tight around my eyes and I can wear my glasses. I have dish washing liquid and a sponge in the shower so when I come back from the outside I disinfect it the same time as I shower and then I leave it to dry covered with soap suds for the whole day. Looks overkill but i don't mind coz I feel it adds some degree of extra protection (albeit sometimes psychological :p) going 1.3 years na tong shield.
One thing to note is that it has holes near the nose area but i double mask, so I figure k na yan.

This was an extremely good video :) another thing if you are extremely worried about your ergonomics, try to get a keyboard that is split in half and you can tuck each one towards you so your wrists don’t have to tuck in and twist to type, if you are typing for hours a day just something like this will help you a lot :)

Which is the better buy, Sihoo M57 or the 8-yr old ErgoDynamic? Planning to buy my first ergo chair and I can't decide between the two. According to Cost U Less, the EHC-420 now costs 9,999, which is almost the same as the M57. Thank you.

They go up and down but do not move from side to side.

I almost pulled the trigger on this one when I went to staples. It ticks all the boxes except it only came in black. Sayang... lol. I went with a steelcase amia. I kinda regret it since I really want something with a headrest. Buyers regret? Yes. lol
