@BasicFishingNZ thanks Peter!!! I certainly spent a HECK of a lot of time on it that's for sure 😅 but do it once do it right eh! Yea man like chalk and cheese eh funnily enough FishoDavo & I went there that day to try drone fish but wind was so bad I ended up filming a whole lot of comparison footage haha
@georgewebb4493 no problem at all!! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!! If you're new to my channel there's tonnes of other drone fishing vids eh the big gurnard 1 and my recent aeroo pro vid are both a good watch 🤙cheers
Thanks Dave. Once again thank you for this great info! I hope you won't mind if i ask a couple of questions. I also have an Aeroo pro and just love it. What is the optimum time you would leave your line out if no bites detected. And i have also noticed the line drifts wildly away from the drop zone. What is the best weight sinker you would use. Love your channel! Keep up the good work
@RichardNorthover60 thanks mate!! Dunw if you saw but I have a special black friday sales discount code "FERBF" deal at dronefishing.co.nz if wanting to buy more gear!
@RichardNorthover60 and to answer your question re soaking baits I feel I don't know that myself 😂 sometimes 10 mins works sometimes 30 it depends how big the fish are i think and type of hook. Proper long line hooks "should" hold fish for ages but yea I think 30 minutes usually enough 🤔 as for moving baits. Ideally your baits shouldn't move! As I said in the vid try chain-linking sinkers or reduce no. Of hooks/trace to reduce drag. Try rubberband/cable tie your sinker prongs so they stay stuck, and also recently I've added about 50m of topshot mono to my reel. As mono absorbs swell much better that seems to have helped too! Thanks for the comment tho glad it helped!
@RichardNorthover60 oh that's awesome!! And 👀 no I don't have one eh. I have thought about it, but I am lucky I have quite a good day job but that also means my editing time is limited only like to set one up if I'm giving something extra that's worthwhile not sure what yet maybe some unedited long form footage or something? Or Q&A idk but yea I don't want to just take people's money from patrion without giving something worthwhile! 🙂
@Fishingreminder cheers Mark, I learned the HARD WAY when I saved my drone in Fiji... and sliced my fingers to bits 🤣😅🤦♂️ and yea you have to switch to sport mode to reduce obstacle avoidance during landing and taking off. But really it's similar interference with drone rigs eh and doesn't seem to impact it during flight. Also another tip most drones auto power off when you flip them upside down so I grab it then quickly flip it upside down I didn't add that in the vid as didn't want someone dropping or breaking their drone and blaming me haha
Hi Dave. Absolute newbie here. Your diagram was so good and helpful for me. Will be going on my first trip in a week or two and have a lot to learn. What is the meaning or use of the sacrificial drone trace please? I'm so pleased I stumbled upon your channel
Hey Richard! Thanks so much for the comment my wife will be stoked someone has finally mentioned it haha. The point is to ensure that whatever rig you use, it will always be >4m long. And because it's got clip swivel on it I can clip on any fishing rig i want and always know it will work and be long enough 🤙 It's also called sacrificial because it's only 50lb thickness this is so if I get a snag it breaks off at the trace rather than breaking off 300m of braid etc 👌
@StephenBastian-s4u hey mate if by casting you mean flying out the baits and dropping them. I've done 600m. The flight capability is 10km but it would easily do 800m+ i will be doing some bigger drops the next time I go out. You just get less drops on a flight
Compare with the Aeroo pro to fishingmen max i think it's way better how ever the only thing that suck with fishingmen max is the distance for an example the fishingmen max can only do 1.5 km where the Aeroo pro can do 10km a big advantage for Aeroo pro
@neoleyting5952 they're very different drones! One is designed for BIG payloads the other is designed for more casual drone fishing and filming thanks for watching!

What's is the maximum distance you have casted with baid and sinkers on the aeroo pro.Is it capable of casting between 600 to 800 meters.
