- Drone fishing demo day at Karioitahi Beach, West Coast, South Auckland NZ. Chris from Paul's Fishing systems shows us how to use the Condor Fishing Drone, taking out 6 hooks using the Daiwa Tanacom and Penn Spinfisher VI to haul in the line and fish.
Our fishing adventures take us throughout Aotearoa fishing so keep an eye on our channel for more land based fishing videos using kites, electric kontiki torpedos, and drones including the Splashdrone 4 , Swellpro FD1 , and Rippton Mobula quadcopter fishing drones.
The Condor Drone Fishing setup is one of the easiest fishing rigs to use, and is the ideal drone fishing setup for anyone, from beginners who have never flown a drone, through to those who have experience but want a safer system to use.
Chris demonstrates how to use the Daiwa Tanacom electric reel and the Penn Spinfisher VI 10500, both of which are among our most popular fishing reels for drone fishing.
Pauls Fishing Systems runs regular drone fishing demonstrations throughout New Zealand. Subscribe to our newsletter at the link below to be notified of our upcoming demos.

You guys are on a different level in the down under. Respect.
Thanks Tucker, appreciate your comment
This is a new level of craziness... love it
Super cool and educational. THANKS. - Florida
I just got the SwellPro FD3+ from Santa and the calibration dance is gone, the drop holds two lines, and can take off and land on water. I am looking forward to using it, your videos have been very helpful!
Drone fishing memang top
Put your finger on the bottom and send it to space ❤️cool set up
You ever caught any birds? Looks mad I love it.
Dive into the drink 👈💯😃
I’m considering one of those batteries for deep drops. I wind fish in manually and only use the electric battery for rebaiting. Do you think this battery woukd be adequate to wind in say 1500 to 2000m with a 50ounce sinker, over the cause of a day?
Wow😮
Do you reel the line when you get bites or over a specific time period? At these greater distances, does the rod behave like it usually would when you're getting bites surfcasting?
Because we are using braid which doesn’t have much stretch in it, bites can be felt 1000m out or more so long as there is enough tension on the line.
Good vid just wondering do you always hand catch it and not land it? How long was the first line out and what did you catch cheers
We always hand catch the Condor because it is easy to catch. Bigger drones like the Rippton Mobula are left to land on the ground. We use landing pads or tarps to help prevent sand, but any unevenness in the ground can cause the drone to flip when landing, so care must be taken when putting your landing pad or tarp down.
Hello, if there is a drone for fishing on Amazon, please share a link, thanks
where can I get the dimensions of those boards you use for your short leaders with the hooks
*Super! 👍 +47*
was doing this back in 2008
Unfortunately the government in South Africa banned drone fishing cause conventional anglers went to complain about the amount and big sizes drone anglers caught. Gannet South Africa makes bait droppers for Mavics and Phantoms. Gannet also have their own fishing drones.
What happens if the line gets tangled as drone is flying out?
As these drones have a tension failsafe, if you got a tangle the line would drop. Other drones end up being catapulted in to the water as the line doesn’t release
whats the battery pack you using for the electric reel?

Lost my 5k drone in the ocean ,while using it for fishing, lost control and plummeted into ocean, it was mavic 3 cine
Hi guys, those sinkers are way to close to the drone, pendulum effect could cause weights to strike drone, I’ve been drone fishing a while now, I have at least 4-6 meters between drone and sinkers,
Nope, thousands of sets done experimenting with different set ups, they’re close enough and connected with a stiff enough wire to not have any pendulum effect
What model drone is it?

Hi, we have just bought a FD1 and cant seem to find how to care for the batteries - all the videos are for the other models - can you help us please so we know how to store batteries correctly
Don’t store them fully charged, deplete to 60% or less.
You don’t have to turn your body to set the drone, you just turn the drone..
Where’s the fun in that though?
@@paulsfishingsystems all drone flying is fun, just easier to spin it in your hands. Each to their own. Been watching a lot of your clips.
They have all the best advance equipment.but the video is boring to watch
Yeeahh me too.. very boring😞
im sorry but one this is such cheating, you cant really be proud or tell anyone who cares about your cool catch, and two its really expensive. just go fishing normally. and also u could probably just get a boat with the amount of money spent on this gear
This is not fishing, but robot fishing.. electric reel, drone, like noob.. Plis fishing art okey..
This is fishing, “the activity of catching fish, either for food or as a sport.”. Show us your videos of catching fish with your hands, if you’re against technology.
@@paulsfishingsystems is not more tech when buying in the market?? Easyyyy n very tecno brooooo😆😂
Drones and reels with motors...thats not fishing..
What about a boat with radio frequency fish-finders that were only found in military grade equipment several decades ago?
