Very good and cheap setup. I have mavic air 3,and power grip clip ( with adjustable power).I want to try . The fishing line you are using 20Lbs 400m , is 20Lbs line enough for this type of fishing ? I have seen others are using 5 to maximum 6 hooks.according to your experience did you counter any problems?
Thank you! Yeah I find 20lb braid enough for fishing over sandy beaches. If you go up in line diameter you add more drag and weight which can be a problem with smaller drones. You also need much bigger reels that can hold enough heavy line. I also like to fish with only 2 hooks because you're in better contact with the the fish. Fishing with more hooks is like long lining and if you catch multiple fish at once then you almost need a winch or electric reel to pull them in. That's adding up in expenses but more importantly reduces the fun of fishing. It's okay if you're just out there to catch a feed, I suppose. But otherwise I would recommend lighter tackle, max two hooks and use the drone more as an extension to surfcasting.
I don't understand how the drone drops the line is it a button that you created or is it an addon or do you tighten the drag so it falls off please explain ?
Hi there, check out this video - this is how I drop the bait these days and I find that the easiest, safest and cheapest way to do it: ruclips.net/video/ZS0a_M5bIxw/видео.html
Yeah that's true. There are spiny dogs and spotted dog. Booth are edible. The spotted dogs are known as rig shark and taste very good. Their main diet consists of crustaceans. The spiny dogs, I believe, are not so good eating. Although they are being caught commercially and exported for consumption. I have never tried to eat a spiny dog. Have you?
I never was a fan of the "turn around drops" I would suggest you get an outrigger clip, tie a piece of 3 ft 30 lb mono on your swivel, open the bail and fly it out, as your going forward just close the bail and it will drop it. I have seen before where if a seagull or something hits your line, having it your way will nose dive it without a chance to recover.
yeah, I'm using a tension release as well. A cloth peg works well too instead of an outrigger clip. Sometimes I prefer the turn around drop though. I find it gives better control for a precise drop in combination with the camera. But when I use this, then I have a very thin rubber band as a fail safe. If a bird hits the line then the rubber band will break and release the line from the drone. This saved my drone a few times already.
Thanks mate. Yeah drone fishing is good fun and productive. Currently thinking about trying a smaller drone for some lure fishing. Just to get into some otherwise hard to reach spots out of casting range.
@@Fishingreminder yeah I have a few of those spots. Their generally not legal spots to fish in proximity, but fly a lure in and there might be a loop hole lol
Basically you just turn the drone around and fly backwards. The bait will then slide off. Have a look at my other drone release video. In the other video we show how we make a simple release and how it works in more detail.
My mavic 3 cine had software glitch, plummeted into ocean, line broke, 5k drone gone, DJI is not taking responsibility, blaming pilot error, i carried less than 100 grams of weight, some how drone thought i was on land and black box data showed it forced landing, but it didnt show on my rc controller any forced landing, it just changed its flight into vertical trajectory and spirallled down
Nice presentation and nice meal, especially the lever, yum...
Thank you 😋
Cheap and easy setup for more successful fishing ❤️👍
Very true!
Excellent mate. Hope you guys are well.
cheers, yeah all going great down here 🤙
This good so easy
thanks 👍

@@Fishingreminder Perfect brova from anova mova :)
I use a stone from 300/400 gram on a break line .
You lose the weight ,is easier to recover the fish.
Just a rubber band around the stone.
That's a good idea. I'll give that a try.
Nice vid! Cheers for the simple, informative instruction.
Thanks Grant, glad it was helpful 🙂
Gonna try this, the only thing i find hard is the release mechanism
Just takes a little practice 🙂
Hey Bro, you can eat those spotty dogs as long as they're fresh. Lemon fish'n'chips!

Haha I didn't know you had a drone fishing tutorial as well!
haha, yeah man for sure - I love my trusty old phantom 3, eh

@@Fishingreminder gotcha. Drone fishing is changing the game!!!
Looks like fun! Should realy try it some time ;) loving the vids guys

They make good target practice...

Can you show how you drop bait from drone

Why are you dragging the fish all the way up the beach?
We reel in until the water marks. Before the wave gets the fish
What drone your using.how much it cost
hey, it's a DJI phantom 3. You can get them pretty cheap second hand.
My mavic 3 cine had software glitch, plummeted into ocean, line broke, 5k drone gone, DJI is not taking responsibility, blaming pilot error, i carried less than 100 grams of weight, some how drone thought i was on land and black box data showed it forced landing, but it didnt show on my rc controller any forced landing, it just changed its flight into vertical trajectory and spirallled down
Mavic dont have much power to fly anything over its own weight.
Why are you so far away from the water
I think it just looks far because it was a very shallow, tidal beach. Usually we're only around 5-10 meters away from the waters edge.
