Hello and thank you for the video! I just purchased a 2022 F250 and it had the exact same cover and I was very puzzled at how it worked. Your video made it super simple. All my best! 😀
Yep, just like the backflip on my ‘19 XLT. Bought my truck in December of 2019 and immediately had one installed at a local accessory shop, think I paid 900 for mine. Kinda went crazy on mine for awhile, installed seat covers, rear wheel well liners, tailgate assist, rear drivers side seat release, floor liners, hood protector, LED tail light bulbs, and a bunch of other stuff. Luckily mine came with a spray in bed liner, aftermarket wheels and tires, and a 2.5” leveling kit installed by the dealer. That saved me a ton of money.I actually saw some side fender badges for your model of truck the other day that are LED. They have a crazy start up sequence and can be wired to flash with the turn signals. Kinda cool if you’re into that sort of thing. Anyway, enjoy the new truck, I’ve had good luck with mine so far.
I’ll have to look for those badges. That would be cool. I know what you mean I want to drop money all over this thing lol. Tires, wheels, level kit, & on & on.
Another great thing about this is when you’re landscaping and need to throw sharp branches and shrubs in the back. This cover should protect the rear glass well. Lord knows ive scratched mine doin that.
I used to have the hard tonneau cover and every time I used to take it to the car wash. It used to take in water and in the winter it would ice. Now I have the soft tri cover.
Great video. The dealer installed mine as part of my purchase negotiations, but they didn't mention anything about the last section folding up against the back window. I should've looked closer, but its only been about 9 months, so no big deal. I'm assuming that you can take the entire cover off temporarily, leaving the rails in place by unscrewing those wing nuts from underneath. I need to drop some added weight for towing on a long trip, and that seems like I could easily add more capacity by removing it. Does anyone know how much the cover weighs?
@@TheRecreationLodge thanks. How difficult is the cover to remove? Looking at one on the lot that already has it installed from the factory but I’d want spray in bed liner.
It is not 100% waterproof but it does a very good job. The water that was in the bed in the video got in there when we opened the cover. It was dry prior to that. With that being said the tailgate area can leak a little if it rains hard enough or you spray it with a hose

Just bought a used 21’ with this tonneau cover. Had no idea how the prop rods worked…now I do! Thanks!
You’re welcome. Glad this was helpful!

Thanks for the video, I just had mine installed by Ford yesterday but no instructions on it. Very helpful! Thanks!
Thank you for a great video. You answered every question I had. Fantastic
Thanks for the video, bud! I just bought a 2021 Ford F150 that has the same cover. It's my first time using one and I was not sure how it worked.
Just ordered one for my 2017 f150 looking forward to getting it on.
Same cover came on my 2023 Colorado Trail Boss. Great, informative video. Not 100% waterproof but close enough for me.

Welcome to the ford family
Thanks! Been looking for a review of the factory cover.
Sure thing. I couldn’t find one either so I just decided to make one. Thanks for watching!

Yes it comes off easy & weighs about 75 pounds or so
Great video! Very informative and great looking cover.
Thank you kindly!
Sorry mines made by back flip but same construction but I have to close my tailgate first that’s a pain like your for that
Won't resting it on the rear window cause the window to break?
Shouldn’t
Great video, so helpful
Great looking cover.
Thanks man!
Cool cover.
Thanks!
Confused about the prop rods. In the folded position, there’s no padding and it’s resting/banging against the cab?
It has rubber padding & if the prop rods are set correct it rests against the cab. It shouldn’t move
When folded up does it block the rear camera that gives you a view of the bed??
Mine isn’t equipped with that camera so I can’t really answer that.
Great video Brother
Thanks 👊🏾
Great video. Can you remove the cover entirely so that it doesn't block the window?
You can take those two carriage style bolts out and take the cover off without removing the rails.
Did you do the install?
Can you ride with cover up against glass with rod holders in place?
Yes I’ve done it with no issues.
Who did your bed liner
Great video. Should the spay in bed liner be done before the cover is in stalled?
I suppose it wouldn’t really matter. You would have to remove it though to get the spray in liner done then reinstall
@@TheRecreationLodge thanks. How difficult is the cover to remove? Looking at one on the lot that already has it installed from the factory but I’d want spray in bed liner.
@@hunterbrown910 just a couple of bolts. It’s not bad at all
@@TheRecreationLodge thank you!
Looks great, do you have the part # of the one you purchased?
No sorry I don’t have the part number
Is the cover made of aluminum? Are there weatherstrips?
It is aluminum & has weather strips
Great review. Just ordered this going to be using my points as well. Is this thing 100% waterproof?

How is the gas mileage since you put on the cover
@@MrRockyko it’s only noticeable on a long trip. Just a few miles per gallon.
@@TheRecreationLodge yeah mine also
i think i have the same one on my truck. makes my truck look a lot better.
Yes it does
I have the exact same cover on a 2020 Nissan Titan.
It’s a nice cover. Basically a Bak G2
Which part number did you purchase or can you provide a link? There are several on the site.
VML3Z
I just ordered one of those and I was able to use all my reward's points and I found a discount code and I only paid $500
Nice!
How hard are these to install?
It’s fairly simple. Just a couple of bolts to tighten down
@@TheRecreationLodge Does this drain require drilling holes in the bed to install?
I have this cover on my ram
Thank you
