Damn! I'm glad I came across this and it has been much appreciated. I liked the window "Hack" and also did not know about the extra storage. Excellent. No, my Windows won't go up either on my 2017 F250 XLT
My 2017 F350 also closes the windows with a double tap and hold of the lock button on the fob, but I had to set this up to work using FORScan software tool.
My 2003 F250 has this secret feature of the motor dying while I’m at highway speeds. Pop it in neutral, restart it, pop it back into drive. Clean britches.
michaeldalrymple4897 No, it turns off each gear. Starting at the top.(6th) For instance, I have oversized tires on my truck, so I often turn off sixth gear which is the second overdrive gear. You can do it all the way down to having only first gear.
So the button you hit was for traction control. You put it into “sport” traction, which allows you to get a bit more wheel spin than with the system fully on. However, I would not say that it’s for burnouts as traction control eventually kicks itself back on after some wheel spin. A.k.a., you were correct! 😂
There are 2 different sport modes. One in drive modes, if available on your vehicle, which adjusts throttle input and shifting. The 2nd is the one you showed for the advancetrac system. It raises the threshold for traction control and stability control engagement.
Here's something you might not know about fords. If you have a 6.2L 2017+, your truck will need an intake manifold which ford is no longer making or selling. Dont believe me? Call a dealer, any dealer and ask them for the part. If they say they dont have it, ask them if there is a "stop sale" on it. When they say yes, ask them to explain what that means to your 60 grand worth of truck.
Ford dosent make 85% of there parts. I work for advance and I’ve seen folks come in asking for motocraft branded parts because that’s “fords brand” but a parts manager at ford told me that advance and autozone both source there parts from the same company ford does. It’s the same parts.
The switch for my 2013 F150 e-locking rear end just fell apart a few years ago locking the rear end. Ford of course didn't have the part as it been discontinued. No third part replacement part either. I finally found a ford dealer on eBay that had the part. It was expensive but needed.
That's like a throttle body for the 5.0 liter it's actually made by Dorman. But I have done some looking and I have found some aftermarket intakes for your engine. My question for you is do you have an extended warranty. If so they may cover an aftermarket if it's agreeable. On my pickup I spoke to them in the service department and they told me if I pick up a part that is OEM or better that it would not void my warranty.
@@marcusmcintire6683 if you can find an intake that fits a 6.2, Id like to see the part #. None of the dorman aftermarket would work on the 6.2 the last time I checked. Its a nation wide shortage and even if you can find one that fits it will just break again because they put plastic runner controls inside. Thats why ford stopped selling them and installing them. The replacements were no better than the broken one. I called multiple dealers across multiple states and they all said the same thing. 2yr to indefinite back order. They told me to trade the truck in. 5 star tuning fixed it for me without opening my hood for under 500 bucks and my truck runs and shifts better than it ever has. If your 6.2 has this issue go that route. The agony Ford put me through for weeks and 5 star fixed it in under 15 minutes.
Thanks for the tip about the back up camera not sure how i never noticed that + button on the screen before. On my 2017 2.7L the windows trick didn't work. :(
In Canada, we have a feature on our Fords that isn’t offered in America at all, and won’t ever be seen there unless they come up here specifically for it - but it’s the ‘Cold Weather Package’. In most American states they’ll want their cars cooled down a bit before getting in, and we want that in the summer, but it doesn’t make sense to pay for a feature you’re only using half the year, so for the other half, it’s basically the opposite… You can preset it either in your car or on the app for your phone, and can have it so that you can either preset a starting time for it (which is obviously in the American versions) or just do a regular remote start, and have all the heaters, seat warmers and steering wheel warmers activated at the level of your choosing, while also being able to turn on the window warmers in case there’s a ton of snow or ice, and depending on how long you have to leave it for, sometimes it may turn off and you have to turn it back on again, but if I’m correct, I believe you can adjust or turn off this setting entirely… although leaving a car in remote start for too long without turning on the actual engine can be bad for the car in the long run, it’s not recommended to do all the time, BUT in those circumstances when you’re at work or just out for dinner or something, and it’s freezing cold outside - if you have leather seats in Canada - you KNOW how detrimental those things are to human skin on the coldest AND hottest days of the year, so having a way to circumvent this problem may actually speed up Canadian evolution, since we’re no longer oppressed by freezing/scorching leather seats and wheels, or having to drive in circles for ten minutes just to get your engine to heat up enough to drive comfortably haha 😄 WE ARE FREEEEE!!! 🙌 🙌 🙌 Sorry if this is a long as hell comment, but Americans truly need to be aware that our asses are getting warmer by the day folks, and your asses are no longer the warm golden asses of the car gods - they have shone their light down on our asses for once and we’re comin’ for ALL the finest features available to it!! 😳
