Jeez, I forgot Ironsight existed. Maybe some coverage of it could bring back a few players? The game plays reasonably well, so I'm all for the variety.
If it was crossplay with consoles and free to play, it would bring it back to life

this game deserved more popularity
but the devs still can't fix the netcode issues, it happens everytime for example in Asia server. Sometimes you will get a match that stuttering your ping even your internet was fine. I've complained many times on their discord and there's no change after they said done fixed.
remembering about this game always hurts, they had so many chances to fill the hole modern CoD has left and they just did absolutely nothing instead. now games like Battlebit are showing how its done

when i first played this game it gave me the same exact feeling of the OG CODs. i didn't want to quit lol. just was discouraged by the low player counts.

I still play this game from time to time. It just feels right. Wish there were more players, because lobbies can be crazy unfair, but it's still great fun.
The biggest boon is lack of pay to win. New guns are always available for free (although requires the in-game currency) and there's no real FOMO unless you really like certain skins. I think the most pay to win the game has is that some gun skins have different ironsights that are less obtrusive than the standard one, but no one uses ironsights in this game anyway.
I love this game, if you need another one that might be interesting I'd love to see you try out Black Squad!

Handler plays Ironsight again NICE. Its my main Shooter at the moment (over 950 houres play time) its simple and dosent cost 60 bucks or more.
I play on the EU Servers and i dont have that problems there max time i wait is 1-2 mins for most game modes.

Its obviously not your style of gameplay but that's the point, trying something a little different ^^. Insurgency: Sandstorm might be a good start as it combines both Arcade and Hardcore themes together.

I have around 800 hours of ironsight in total if you combine the separate aeria games launcher and steam.
It's so sad to see it go but I understand why, rarely new content and when it came it was so little it barely mattered. Balancing has been a huge problem over the years. The AUG being the only thing that competetive players used for over 1 year because it basically was a 3-4 at all ranges with low recoil and so on.
At the same time this game has made me laugh so goddamn much and I have had such good moments that is impossible in todays call of duty
For me it's the complete lack of camera animation that gives it big vintage vibes. Black Ops 2 was before the modern obsession with camera animation

I played this on the re-release/ resurge on steam and it was tons of fun. I stopped because of the weapon owning system, very reminiscent of old f2p shooters. It wasn't fun grinding your ass off for a gun.
Maybe I'll give it another go for a bit, kinda in a dry spell for shooters besides battlebit.

This game should've been the real "COD Killer". This is so much more fun and well designed than XDefiant, that game is going to be dead in the water out of beta. Ironsight deserved a bigger push and more dev dollars

Ironsight has a great gameplay foundation, but the devs never capitalized on it. Lack of content updates and terrible hitreg/netcode made me (and MANY others) eventually give up on this game for good. Hence why this game will never grow...
