They ain't more popular.. They've been revived for a week and by next week or the week after more than 70% of the players on old COD will have gone back to MWII. Also, I'm sure MWII player count is extremely higher than all old COD's combined right now or on any given day. I know the old COD's are better but they ain't more popular now.

With the FAL, using the holo is prime. the red dot sight is slightly misaligned and the holo adds damage. With stoping power and the holographic sight, it’s a two shot kill at all ranges and a one shot headshot up close

My go to build was Silencer Holographic on the FAL. Maybe my favorite DMR, up until the Tempus Torrent
I remember the FAL shotgun attachment being broken in hardcore because it 1 shotted people across the map. I think it had the most broken attatchments because of things like these

The fun factor about this game was that you could basically use every weapon because they were all somewhat viable.
Surely some were a bit stronger but you could use an mp5k and bad recoil aside you could fight weapons like the ump close range everyday

Mw2/BO was peak cod for me and a lot of others. One of the only cods where I had non stop fun. Also there was 10 different ways you could play it. You could rush(mw2 had the best rushing perks ever) you could run around with a tac knife, you could quicksxope( the silent shot with the throwing knife kill cam) , you could one man army cheese, you could play dead with ghille suit cold blooded and a hand full of others. Not saying that you can’t do this in other games but the perks matched were awesome for aggressive players and the footsteps weren’t obnoxiously loud. Newer cod are much slower paced and hurt players who want to be aggressive 🤷♂️ don’t play anymore so who am I
The stupidest thing is that a lot of people claim that modern COD is slow because TTK is low/fast but original MW2 actually had the lowest TTKs across the board, pretty much every single original MW2 gun can match or even beat any gun from today's MW2 for TTK and yet it was still much better paced.

Yeah, The FAMAS was a really great weapon. My main one, always loved it. Everyone else used the ACR, but this was my baby. The long range shots you could get were so good.
Same here. Always considered it the best weapon in MW2, with a Spas 12 as backup. So much fun.

i spent so much time playing mw2. between the two gamer tags i used, i had something like 85+ days of match gameplay. the memories that come back watching the resurgence of these old servers is so nostalgic

I remember I used to go to my friends house and play on his Xbox but he had 1080 P and it made you play like a God. I can’t imagine playing on 720 P today.

The thing I miss the most from older CoD games was the matchmaking, sbmm is killing the funfactor in the longturn. When I started mw2 2009 I struggled to get UAVs, but when I got better I started to get nukes. This was what kept me playing, the feeling of selfimprovement. I bought MW2 2022 on ps5 and have not played a shooter on console since BO1, so my aim was all over the place, but as I improved the aiming the game became a lot more difficult and getting gunships did not get easier as I improved, rather more difficult. I later joined my kid (level 1) for a couple of games and I got my first nuke the first game and got gunships every game…
Seeing that clan tag at the end brings back memories I forgot about, these games hold so much value to me it’s unbelievable, w vid bro🤙🏽
Anyone having input delay problems on the old cods try this. Someone by the name of mou.j put a psa up on it. “PSA: THERE IS A FIX FOR THE INPUT LAG. Go to tv & display settings and make sure allow auto low latency mode is off. You can also change the auto detect input to HDMI only and it will get rid of it.” Also some people put the resolution to 720p. Only two fixes i’ve seen around.

It does feel weird only being first to 4. Games feel like they’re over super quickly now hahah. But that just means even more content!

I've been loving this game recently. I got 4 nukes in one day and just felt like a kid again man. Btw, the FAL with holo sight and silencer is my favorite weapon in this game.

The holographic sight on the FAL multiplies the damage by some degree there’s a couple other specific attachments on specific guns that give different unspecified bonuses in the game notes too
Like silencer on the wa2000 doesn’t actually drop the damage or range it stays the same
This & Black Ops 2 were my absolute favorites. 4 & WAW were good as well but these two just hit different.
That's why I love this game. You get noob tubed? Okay bring out OMA or rush them with the UMP. Don't wanna rush? Use an ACR and smoke them from deep. Wanna snipe? You'll barely get hit markers and the hits actually land. Wanna commando a dude on favela from across the map in the barbershop. Go ahead.

When using the FAL w/ red dot the gun always shoots to the right of where you aim. I wish they would fix this I can't stand using the holographic at long range.

The holographic actually benefits the FAL greatly. It is glitched so that when you equip the holographic it ups the damage on the FAL so it kills anywhere on the body in two shots. Even more reason to use the holographic instead.

Modern Warfare 2 was ahead of its time back then when it came to graphics, gun play, maps, kill streaks and overall fun factor when playing. The only downfall is the tube spam but when you find a respectable lobby that doesn’t do it makes for some fun times. From the FAL to Barret or any of the LMGs you can have a good time with anything in this game.
Ive already played/watched more of OG MW2 in the last few days than i have of 2022 MW2 since it released

That’s honestly why I loved Cod Ghosts, nearly every gun had similar ttk. Marksman rifles can destroy just as fast as the bulldog, the AR’s can compete with the fast firing of SMG’s close range. Only downside to the game is the big maps (needs a higher player count), and the campers.
