God, I hate the fact we’re essentially forced to let go of a piece of history because corporates don’t like us enjoying old things. Black Ops 2 is my all-time favorite CoD. Only one I earned Diamond camos and Max prestige one FFA match at a time. Thanks Handler for at least showing us some good times before it’s gone.
You won't be tempted to buy the new games if you can still play the old ones.
Were not forced people will continue to make custom clients for old cods.
just because Activision keeps sending cease and desist letters doesnt mean these custom clients and fan made remasters will stop quite the opposite in fact the actions Activision has taken have caused people to get angry and upset which i think will ultimately cause people to rebal and double down on recreations and custom clients for old cods and most importantly devs should not comply with the cease and desist letters from Activision as they need a wake up call that some people arent gonna back down that easily.

Best thing to do is to keep annoying Activision with tweets and not buy the next cod unfortunately cod fans are brain dead and will pre order as soon as they see the trailer for the next game

I wish CoD would go back to being like this. This is in my Top 5 games of all time. No crazy movement, just straight fun. I miss this game dearly, It is one of my most played games straight after high school/work with the boys.
Cod mobile should honestly be ported to consoles and pc but instead be called cod online.

Got so pissed because my friend and I were just getting into xLabs for MW2 and really really enjoying playing it
I never had the privilege of experiencing that game in its prime online, but even with the one night I played it was more fun i had than the entirety of MWII (2022)
Activision was just wrong for the execution of these clients.

IW4x still works fine. It was originally designed to be decentralized, and so it has a fallback node system that steps in to display the server list if the master server goes offline. You need to run the game without the XLabs launcher.

Man this game is still goated to this day. MSMC, AN-94, PDW, the 4-burst AR (M4A1 I think?), Ballista, DSR, KSG, etc were all so much fun to use. I remember grinding getting diamond shotguns, SMGs, and snipers on PS3 back in the day, not even mentioning the zombies maps. Such a good game.
Can’t forget about when they added the PeaceKeeper as a DLC SMG that thing was a beast. Same with the Swatt 556 and FAL with or without select fire 🔥

You actually run at 102.5% speed with the MSMC but oppose to the combat knife (100%) but you can run for longer before having to walk
(The ballistic knife is 107%) tho I don’t remember if you run for longer with them similarly to the combat knife

Objectively, this is the best cod game I ever played. Admittedly, I've not played anything newer really than black ops 3 properly but this game was balanced and fun in the best ways.

I doubt they will shut this down. This is not really a competition in their market, because it just makes bo2 run for a few years longer thats it. SM2 was literally a heavily modified Modern Warfare Black Ops mix gaining attention which Activision would have liked to have themselves. But they just don't deliver.

I think the reason why activision closed closed clients was because they played the game in a modded way. But there is no such thing in plutonium (except servers)

How do you get decent lobbies? I cant find servers that have full map rotation and are populated.

a call of Duty game with years of support would be the move. Add something like the csgo market to give the game a way to make money, and the Devs would be set.

I honestly thought that was the route they were taking with MW2 when they announced no new cods this year.
@@mulafl CSGO makes about a billion a year, while the devs do little to no work. All the skins in that game are made by the community and so are the maps.
No game should have the abomination known as the CSGO market. Worse than anything Activision's come up with.
