If the prices at the auction are high then the price of retail used cars is going up again. I keep hearing how used car prices are dropping but then I see videos like this and I know that used car prices aren't going anywhere any time soon. It's the value of the dollar that is the problem, not the supply and demand.
Man you see all types of shit at dealer auctions. I seen cars where someone hid the keys inside the car, looked the keys inside the car and of course unplugging something under the hood to make the check engine lights come on. Oh and prices are ridicules now at auctions. Even cheap cars are to high in price now.
So the idea is that if they unplug things and make the car run rough it might trick other dealers into not bidding which in turn makes the price lower for them to buy

WHat is the perceived benefit of tampering with cars. Makes no sense really.
