  • Dear Viewer,
This content is brought to you by TᕼE ᗰOᐯIE ᗪETEᑕTIᐯE🕵️‍♂️🎥. My Fargo theory has been confirmed! While you wait for an update video on how all the 4 seasons of Fargo connect together, please enjoy this top 3 Movie Detective production ranking my favorite scenes from HBO's the leftover.
Watch The Leftovers available to stream NOW on HBO MAX ‼️
The Leftovers starts three years after a global event called the "Sudden Departure", the inexplicable, simultaneous disappearance of 140 million people, 2% of the world's population, on October 14, 2011. Based on the bestselling novel by Tom Perrotta, 'The Leftovers' follows Kevin Garvey (Justin Theroux), a father of two and the chief of police in a small New York suburb, as he tries to maintain some semblance of normalcy when the notion no longer applies.
⚠️Warning the following video may contains spoilers⚠️
    Scene #3:
The Leftovers S03E06 Laurie Nora and Matt - Beach Ball
I chose this scene because of the emotional back and forth between Lori and Nora. Promising to see each other again, "same time next week" when in reality all hope is lost and the end is near. This scene is the height of TV drama. The stakes of the scene, great acting, and music choice make it one of the best scenes in the Leftovers and comes in ranked 3rd on my all time favorite scenes.
    Scene #2
    The Leftovers S02E04 Orange Ticker
I chose this scene because it showcases the superb acting that Justin Theroux puts forth each and every episode. He brings the emotion in every scene and really makes you connect to the character. Justin Theroux has done some terrific work throughout this series, but he's never had a better more heartbreaking moment than telling Patti he doesn't want to kill himself !! For these reasons, this scene makes it into my top 2 leftover scenes of all time.
    Scene #1
The Leftovers S02E10 I Live Here Now
I chose this scene as my favorite Leftover scene because without saying a single word Regina King owns the screen as she puts forth powerful emotion as her character is reunited with her daughter after she was missing for the majority of the season; but when they are reunited it isn't the response a mother would expect from their daughter and you feel every second. From the music choice to the camera work this scene is my favorite scene of the leftovers from top to bottom. Thanks for watching!

This series has so many moving overwhelming moments. And it has less than 30 episodes

There are several scenes that I love from the series as well, Patti and Kevin's conversation at the well in Season 2, Matt's confrontation with the pretender to be God on the boat in Season 3, and Nora and Wayne's conversation at the end of Season 1.

This show just does something to me no matter how many times I’ve watched it. Best show ever created with the best score to go along.

I also love the scene where Patti and Kevin are at the bottom of the well. It shows Patti's vulnerability and why she is the way she is. The writers showed all the characters including Patti are dealing with the same darkness. The same darkness all people deal with. Some just have to face it due to circumstances.

The Leftovers is such a great show! I've been there where Grace is with her loss of faith in God. I once was a Christian pastor who is now an atheist. Not a asshole atheist! I still respect truly good people who are believers. I still want people to have their version of hope and coping. Many would think that now that I'm an atheist that this would mean I never was a true believer. Nah! I remember feeling what I thought was God. I still feel that feeling as an atheist and know it's just chemicals in my body making me feel this way. I'm still spiritual, but I just don't put a god into it.

The Nora, Matt, and Laurie scene is so beautiful! Nora needs to do something that is irrational, but Matt who is a pastor and Laurie, a psychologist, don't try to convince her of anything. They just love her the way she needs to be loved. They don't use God or science to change her mind. They actually understand the depth of her pain as much as someone can without experiencing it themselves. Hardly ever does this happen in reality.
