As someone who has worked on a lot of 410's, just disconnect the carb boot from the 3 screws at the rear, putting the boots back on once the new cylinder is on is an absolute PITA!!! Either way good instructive video buddy :)! For your piston rings, slide one edge in then gently ease them round, will save you damaging them :) Putting those rings in either side of the piston currently fuel my nightmares haha!
When a kit comes with crank case gasket and seals, you should replace them while it is torn down. Save the customer a lot of money when a crank seal goes bad shortly after, and it has to be torn down again.
Thats great...but I have something here to ask ...I have the same model concrete cutter , it cranks only but not starting, what is the main problem? What shall I do?
While setting my garbage containers out on a monday night, couldn't help but see one of these choice demo saws that he sat out next to his garbage cans, he being my neighbor who has some type of construction business. At first glance it appears to have a damaged top handle. Almost looks like it wouldn't start and it was thrown. so i grabbed it, .Over the years i have done a lot of repairs on 2 and 4 cycle engines. My dad taught me the basics and over the years he would do other more complicated tune ups , rebuilds, replace magnetos, fuel tanks , lines he did this work himself mostly because we were dirt poor, however when your young you just think your dad is showing off about how smart he is, i never realized how poor we were until i had my own family to worry with. Fortunately for me i always had some pretty good ideas on how to make lots of money and not be considered a criminal. Vending machines, tech, i had made my first million by the age of 25, started with a 20,000 dollar loan, paid it back in 18 months. I just turned my company over to my sons a few months ago we are nationwide, 357 employees 400 trucks thousands of accounts, net worth 782 million just the vending machine company, i think dad would be impressed RIP, i did a lot of work, at first, and i was extremely lucky several times, both my sons have college degrees but me only a high school diploma, many teachers said or thought i would never succeed at anything, fact is i succeeded at everything i did, failure was never an option, of course i rubbed it in their noses at class reunions, wouldn't you? And then, there was the high school girlfriends mother who knocked on my parents door and said keep your loser son away from my daughter , my parents looked at this pitiful woman and my dad said if your daughter is hanging out with my son then lady she mustn't be no saint herself, i made that woman's life a nightmare, why did she dislike me so much , she caught us doing the wild thing, dead up buck naked in my back seat instead of watching a movie. oh well
The holes for the exhaust were stripped. I had already retapped them once before, so I had to replace this time. This model is notorious for vibrating them out. I probably do 8 or 10 of these a year. This is Lester Olive in the shop, I’m just under my other channel
@@lesterolive I only ask as I’ve just taken the cylinder off my ts 410 because the compression was 75psi, tested via decompression port. I followed your video thx. But, there’s always a but. Can’t believe you went to all that trouble changing the piston but when reassembling you didn’t put the plug and air filters back on first, all the cement dust and crap was everywhere being disturbed with a chance of getting into the bore resulting in needing a replacement piston 😂😂😂😂😂
What a great illustration rebuilding the saw. I like the tricks in the rebuild. Thanks for sharing this video.

Great quality video, Lester.
Thank you
Wow it's amazing job
Thanks
also 5 minute of a pressure wash to clean it up before you take the engine apart!
Thanks for this really helpful

Thanks for sharing. Are non oem cylinders generally crap compared to oem?

What r u using for a piston ring compressor. Look creative. I need one!
On top of the piston? There are two hole , one for the spark plug . What is the other one for?

The New Kit Seems Like The Piston and Cylinder are Undersized to The Original 😐😐😐 Nice Job Getting It All Together 😀
sure did notice a size difference in parts.

If you take the carb off you can take the manifold off when you take the block off you put the manifold on the new cylinder
the new cylinder i have has an extra hole next to the sparkplug hole, whats best to plug that with?
The manufacturer makes a plug for it, or you could put a decompression valve there.
