- Darrell Brooks appeared to become unhinged in the courtroom when prosecutors, outside the jury's presence, threatened to bring up evidence that Brooks is a registered sex offender. Brooks was trying to bring in evidence against his ex-girlfriend and the state said if that happened, they would be forced to bring up that Brooks was convicted of statutory sexual seduction and was a registered sex offender. Brooks later claimed she said she was 18 when he met her.

Imagine going to school for 8 years, paying your dues as a lawyer, and then a trial judge, and then having to deal with this absolute man-baby questioning everything you say.
would be so satisfying though, handing him capital punishment being a judge. see if cnn and msnbc can save their golden child terrorist.
And keeping calm and level headed while dealing with constant interruptions and tantrums to appease said man baby and allow him to continue to hang himself so he has absolutely zero chance upon appeal. She is making sure when he is found guilty there will be no loopholes for an appeal.
He has no clue about the law or how to speak English.

And he LIED. He KNOWS that his phone calls are recorded, yet still says there has been multiple contacts with EP, including sending pictures that he is on record telling his mother to send them. No letter, let alone more than one, came from EP. The pictures were sent from his mother. He attempted to call her from the jail 37 times and she refused to answer.
If he talks to the judge and everyone in the courtroom like this, imagine how he acts behind closed doors.
He murdered people in an attack purely based on race. Literally got in a car to murder white people at a parade. This is all just expected from him.

When he said he didn’t bring the letter and he just brought the pictures, he was referring to the letter that Erika supposedly wrote to him and that included the photos of his grandson. When he asks who took his paper, he’s referring to the letter from the state to Judge Dorow asking for count 77 to be removed due to Erika not having visible marks from the battery that occurred on 11/20/2021.

All of these "weak judge" comments have no idea what she's trying to do. She is giving 0 grounds for a appeal, 0 grounds for a mistrial and 0 grounds for the witness being "unfit" to defend themself.
The latter being the most important as he keeps questioning if he's being held in contempt and is wanting to use that as a defense as he knows now that after 13 days of this trial the 2 former matters won't work.

Probably, during the Sentencing Phase, the Judge will be very graphic in detailing his crimes! Of course, he'll interrupt and shoot off his yap, but he will be forced to face up to his crimes. He will get life w\o parole .

But in this instance i’d love to be able to vote for her. She’s got a great background of both criminal defence and prosecution. She also has the perfect temperament for a trial judge. if anything it’s a loss for her current court if she were to run.

She’s trying everything she can to avoid a mistrial to avoid delaying this process any further. If she finds him in contempt, WHICH HE IS TRYING TO DO, it will make the trial go even longer and that is his main goal with this whole thing. A lot of people don’t get that. This judge is patient and VERY smart. There is no way she is giving into what he is trying to do.
I'm done. He's unreal and I will wait for sentencing to tune in again. I'm sure he will drag this out until next year so he can ruin everyone's holidays.

The Judge will have plenty to say once the sentencing is handed down. Right now she is holding back so that he can't make any appeals or claims for a mistrial. He has been giving extensive leeway and the court has been beyond patient with him.

Shout out to the judge! I know she has to offer a fair trial, but I truly appreciate her patience throughout his arrogance and ignorance. There is a mental health and drug abuse issue plaguing America and as a black man I appreciate the fact there’s people like her that see past race and judge truly on character.

I've been a lawyer for 19 years, 16 of which as a criminal prosecutor. Sometimes I have really wanted to be a judge, but from watching this trial these last 3 weeks I know I don't have the patience to be one.
You got this! Being a lawyer seems just as bad, dealing with rude clients as well having to prove your case. Not to mention sometimes having defend a client even if you believe they are guilty.
You got just as enough stress.

@@SailorSocko there was an actual case where a defendant was so disruptive that the judge ordered that his mouth be duck taped shut. The judge ended up getting into trouble for that.

I disagree. She needs to be more strict with all the constant interruptions failed court decorum. Its a mess and she allows it. They needed a really stern no BS judge.
Absolutely! He’s clearly just trying to get her and anyone else he can to snap so he can appeal and claim he wasn’t given a fair trial.. She isn’t letting that happen. Her patience is uncanny. He can only procrastinate for so long before he’s undoubtedly found guilty and put away for life. Really he deserves the death penalty

@@chuckmartin6921 There’s a non-obvious reason behind the “mess”, the madness of the judges’ allowance of disruptions from Brooks. The judge is not “weak” as she may appear to be and as I’ve read many comments state of her throughout the trial. She is actually very brilliant in doing what she is doing, remaining calm and patient and allowing the foolishness in the courtroom to not put him in contempt. She’s more than likely thinking of the victims families and everyone else to move the trial along without a mistrial so Brooks can be put where he belongs sooner than later. I know it’s so easy to make judgments than to inquire or question things before making uneducated or knowledgeable comments.
