Many individuals make it extremely far in life being utter garbage the whole way. Hardly surprising
I try and tell my students this is how they look, not realizing this is where your attitude takes you as an adult.
I'm an inner city high school teacher. I cant tell you how many students I've had over the years who've exhibited this kind of arrogant behavior. This guy is essentially the "adult" personification of so many 15-19 year old youth dissillusioned with the world around them. It's sad because I've been teaching for more than 15 years, and in the process earned several graduate degrees that I did not even need to get, obtained numerous licenses, and attended many professional training seminars. Despite all my education and training, in some crazy ironic way I now understand so many of these kids even less than I did originally before setting foot for this venture. So many of these young men.....and women (they're not even technically "boys" and "girls" anymore) are completely unsociable and practically unteachable. It's sad because I know that so many of them will end up in an orange jump suit exactly like Mr. Brooks later in their lives.
I had recently left a school primarily designed for these types of individuals. I made the choice to leave after having worked there for some time due to their being a lack of any actionable consequences or accountability for illegal behavior, repeat offenses, truancy, gang related behavior and simply bad choices. Thus, the school in my view was equally as culpable as is the other facets of their external environment. When I voiced my opinion to leadership about the mass damage that their misbegotten vision was doing to these students, I found myself no longer in good standing, so I left.
When I look at and listen to this grown adult of a man who still doesn't seem to understand the causation for his current position, and the ramification of his choices, and endlessly deny his actions despite all the glaring evidence, I see many of my students.
Thanks for trying. These seeds were planted in the 80s. This is the society our government wants

For those who missed the hearing where Darrell Brook formally uncoupled himself from his state provided attorneys let me share with you that it was excruciating - Judge Dorrow went on for what felt like hours about what defending himself would mean; she went over his rights, what valuable resources he would be losing access to, what he would be up against with regard to the prosecutors, and that he would be expected to function as any competent attorney would. She told him that he would be up against a nearly impossible task and almost begged him to keep the attorney's provided by the state. So just keep that in mind when he complains endlessly about how unfair this trial is.
Shes made this an airtight case...There will be no mistrial and the appeal will be dead on arrival.. I dont know how shes stayed this calm without throwing out 1 wrong word to jeopardize this trial. Shes truly a saint.
Given what I just witnessed on video, despite his seemingly digging his own grave with the crimes he is allegedly committing, this judge and the prosecutor committed grave misconduct that any normal defense attorney would be capable of using to demand a mistrial with prejudice.... It's not a prosecutors job to be playing a game of slinging mud at one another nor be a defense attorney for a witness/make arguments on behalf of the witness.. And the fact the judge was allowing the prosecutor to make these statements, and the emotional outburst seen by the judge makes me believe she should have surrendered the case to another judge who can keep their emotions in check...

He should be handcuffed.
This is one of the brighter ones regrettably!
"She said she was 18"... probably not the first time the judge has heard that line
It's literally the same excuse all these sickos give verbatim
And it’s probably true.
@@lateral1385 lmao you don’t know that at all
If you didnt plan on marrying her, then that defense goes into the trash
@@zedknot230 Although I doubt there's much credibility to a lot of what Brooks says, it's very possible she lied about her age. The cold reality is that girls lie about their age all the time just to hook up with an older guy. Best to check ID because the law doesn't uphold that excuse under most circumstances.
It’s really nice to see someone who is constantly combative, rude, and uninformed just completely get their moment of being smacked back down. You can just tell that he’s a nightmare to be around.
From what I’ve read he’s bipolar and has antisocial personality disorder which explains a lot.
Question is how did he survive so long. He's probably calm and quiet in public.
@@ChicanoOne760 he’s not going to do well in prison
@@resplndnt True LOL try to bring that attitude in prison and he's gonna be beat everyday.
@@rock.paper.scissors plus in prison they don’t like people who’ve hurt women or children
Ah, blaming everyone else for your mistakes, the narcissist's textbook.
I with such an eloquent defense, I can’t believe he didn’t win his case.
How the bailiffs refrain from whooping his a** is beyond me.
If I were the Bailiff, he'd be writhing on the floor in a puddle of drool.
"Sorry, your honor. I inadvertently hit the shock button and it is now stuck under my thumb."
I'm thinking the same.
He doesn't want to do all the paper work.
Could you imagine having a regular conversation/argument with him outside of court, without a judge to shut him up. He’s insane
He’s trying to pretend to be insane so he can claim a mistrial. Really he’s just a piece of abusive garbage.
You don't converse with someone like he. He tells you, you shut up and listen, or he runs you over. No pun intended.
He’d just punch you in the face if you were a woman.
There are millions of whack jobs just like him, walking free.
Argument? Nah. Punks like him get their teeth fed to them. That attitude of his is gonna get him killed in the pen.
Man, this must have been so tedious for everyone involved.
Why is he not kicked out for contempt of court???
Because he’s already in jail so all that would do is delay the trial.
Shout out to the prosecutor 😂👏🏽👏🏽 so eloquently put “since you want to imply she’s a bad mom, let’s talk about you being a registered S.O. “
Loved that part
He is so done in jail with that paperwork. It is over for him
@Benita Rodriguez facts
Ayo!!!!
@Benita Rodriguez bro doesn’t know what she’s talking about
This guy should be THE EXAMPLE of narcissist in every college psychology course. This dude should be studied for years to come to identify indicators.
My thoughts exactly while watching him…. Textbook narcissist… the only victim in the room, no emotional control, can’t handle criticism, so self entitled.. all in a 4 minute clip!
I disagree. He is narcissistic in some ways for sure, however, based on his behavior, he seems to be extremely unhappy with himself while still genuinely believing he is correct. I feel as though a true narcissist would've given up the act and tried to play a soft victim.
@Chucky I think the fact he can even create the scenario in his head, that he is the victim of his own horrid actions, is master lvl narcissistic. I think it actually proves it further.
That being said- I have have zero schooling in this matter and have no credibility other than my own interest in researching what it means to be a narcissist.
I agree but under a different name so not to give him any notoriety. He needs to be forgotten.
@@chucky6768 Guess you don't know what a narcisstic sociopath is, that's what he is or better yet malignant narcissist
I'll never understand why guys like this get such attitude with the judge. I mean, even if you're right and they're way out of line, what do you expect the outcome to be? They're just gonna flip around on a dime and love you? There's NO WORLD in which mouthing off a judge is ever going to help your case. Just shut up and do what you're supposed to do.
Darrel Brooks' story is a testament to the power of determination and perseverance in receiving his law degree from the streets of ghetto schools. Despite growing up in a mentally challenging environment, he never gave up on his dream of ending up in and out of jail, where he obtained his degree in criminal skills. His criminal achievements are a powerful reminder that anything is possible with hard work and dedication when you strive and end up with Six life sentences plus 776 years And three months in prison.
So true.
Obviously, he has used these tactics and not been successfully called out on it for the majority of his life. He has no control over his reactions, verbally and physically, in my opinion. He is absolutely dangerous.
I use to work over a dude like that he just would keep talking until people would just give up and let him have his way because they didn't want to deal with him.
He has the brain of a child that has never been checked by reality. Now he ran into it at full speed and shattered into pieces. Delusion meeting reality. He's gonna get killed in prison.
I wonder how it happened. Fascinating stuff
So he's not your Mr. Right? He doesn't check all your boxes?
Quite. I agree. They are to survive deadly force whether they like it or not.
