bro when i was in tokyo recently, i took your advice and went to the shimokitazawa area for thrift shopping. Went into the huge kinji store and found insane steals, easily my biggest W's at any thrift store before. Thanks for tip man.
Love this video dude, Its real, authentic and off the cuff. It Showcases your love of fashion and gives a first hand look into the Japanese streets and the current Fashion.. Well done! I would totally watch live streams of you shopping or hitting up the hidden gems of the fashion scene. Props on that Cowboy bebop outro
I'm extremely into fashion, it's my life, I love vintage, Streetwear clothing, I'm been studying it for ages and plus I love Japanese fashion and culture and this summer I'm going to this place in Japan, so I'm glad ik about this place😇
Yo do you know of any good Asian streetwear websites? There is a site called urban society that has really cool clothes but I know the website is a scam, but I don't know a legit site that does those products.
I swear a lot of the best vintage stuff ends up in Tokyo. In the US, you're better off looking online or some smaller cities. It often feels like a major waste of time in NYC unless you're fine with just buying stuff that's a year old or really worn out vintage clothes that may have stains and holes, anything vintage that's the least bit decent will be expensive. There are so many places in Tokyo, especially in Harajuku and Shimokitazawa. Not that they're dirt cheap like thrift stores can be outside of the major US cities but at least you have a much better selection to choose from.
Dont fooled by the fashion icons or trend setters boys and girls. True fashion is the kind that complement your bodies. That shows off ur advatanges and hides ur weaknesses. The clothes suppose to make you look good not the other way around.
a lot of people aren't interested in showing off their bodies to look sexy for others though. fashion and style is about self expression and can even be an art form, and people shouldn't have to limit their options and stifle their creativity just because someone tells you it will make you look less desirable. Your idea of true fashion is that it's just a tool to make yourself look good and is not actually about the clothes at all.
True but also japan has alot of styles that dont fit with body types and makes u look boxy on purpose and so on with other shapes. Doesnt always mean cinched small waists and triangle shape for mens torsos like western BS
Thank you sir . The content of the video is fun and I'm impressed with the clothes available at Kinji. No doubt at all in my mind you have a skill called showmanship .
If you got money to spend Nigo and Tunaji are the place to go. Nigo for the shit tons of vintage streetwear + original creations and tunaji (my personal favorite) for the exclusiveness and 80's fashion their stuff is GORGEOUS
Great video. I can’t wait to explore all the little hidden gems in Harajuku. Closing out with “Tank!” was also a nice little treat that put a smile on my face.
also it would be great to see some videos exploring niche vintage fashion retailers. Denim, north face, polo, sneakers, vintage streetwear, military gear, etc... I think it could be a very interesting and exciting video
@@wesal-jhoper2755 why would people talk about it, it's not the subject of the video. Besides this is not a kpop channel where you can find a lot of kpop fans
Hey dude can you do a video about remake clothing? I’m pretty sure it started in Japan and i know it’s kinda big there. I’m getting a pair of these super fire remake pants (can’t remember the brand) but I can’t seem to find much info about it. It’s those pieces that people take vintage clothes and materials and make there own unique pieces out of them and are normally fairly limited due to this. You’d probably be able to give a lot of insight for me
Can you do a full video in Japanese and have subs Japanese is the coolest sounding language and I’m taking classes rn to learn in LA and I wanna hear more
Just want to ask...do I have to properly clean clothes I get from thrift stores/vintage stores? Cuz here in my country, its a must to clean items we have bought from thrift stores due reported illness that people can get.
How I wish I could get there, the land of the rising sun!! I'll b der one of these days!!I'm a big fan of the GRE8 japanese street fashion culture!!! Banzai nippon!!
i will go to tokyo on wednesday for 3 weeks. im so excited, can any1 tell me some street names where i can shop good vintage :)) ok so I went to Tokyo, and im back home now, many thanks :) I visited many places for vintage and clothing
Shimokitazawa and Koenji will cover ALL of your vintage needs. Don't forget to walk the back streets of Harajuku/Omotesando because there are some cool little shops that all the tourists sleep on! Hey Reggie, love your videos. Always been a fan of Japanese Street style. Only thing is I always had bad experience with sizing. I'm a very 'healthy' size (lol) & Japanese fashion is known to be a bit small in size. Do these thrift stores carry plus size? Anyways, keep it coming, man. Your videos are awesome....
You can expect the thrift stores to have sizes up to xl (western l) but most shirts are in l. If you want bigger stuff there is usually a own section for bigger cloths. But keep in mind that most of the clothes are vintage and worn ( in great condition though) and have stretched a little over time. The hardest to find a definitively shoes and pants if your bigger than the average Japanese man you can forget that
Sweg Ster Lol! Yeah, been trying to cop Japanese stuff since years ago. & they are always small. I AM bigger than an average Japanese guy so yeah unfortunately, my search continues. Thanks for the heads up dude.....
Jasmin Bin Semahli My biggest struggle ist finding pants I stopped searching for shoes (size 12) . I wanted to cop some bapestas in Shibuya and harajuku and they had to call around the country to see if they might have something in my size
Sweg Ster Yeah, it's hard to find pants/jeans my size too. Lucky enough my feet is pretty average at size 9. I still adore Japanese Street style. So I end up just copping what I can from where I'm from & flow with it. Hopefully I can visit Japan again & drop by Kinji & take a look...

@trinity kaye I was just about to say even in Miami there are some places but LA seems like the mecca for that kind of stuff.

That jacket in the thumbnail was amazing I wish they had stuff like that where I live.
this is what I dig. fashion ecosystem that has its own grassroots, and not merely hype facade industries. y'know what i mean?
