Nothing better than shopping all day in Shimokita then walking back to the Mustard Hotel, pick out a few vinyl records in the lobby and play them in your room as you unwind from the day.
Reggie, this video was super refreshing and engaging! I've always wanted to see more vlogs and you definitely delivered. It was cool getting to see some storefronts in the area and the fits of those walking around. Bravo man, please give us more content like this when you can (in addition to the regular content of course) appreciate all the work you guys put in! 🙏👏
I usually go to Shimokitazawa for the music shops that are there - there are some great records that I've found for my collection from that area, but now I'll have even more of a reason to go back for the fashion 🔥
Awesome video, liking this new vibe! I haven’t heard of Shimo until I jumped on to your IG live, and now… I’m definitely dedicating a couple of days there once Japan opens up again.
Great video! My absolute favorite district in all of Tokyo! Spent 4 full days just in shimokita last time I was there, so much to do and see! Pro tip: if you like vintage shopping make sure to leave some room in your luggage bc it’s a haven! Not only for clothes but lots of other vintage stuff too like Vinyl LPs! There’s loads of disc union all over Tokyo but I like the one in Shimokitazawa the most.
Wonderful video! I’m planning a trip to Tokyo in six weeks and this is the kind of real perspective I’m looking for. Thank you for sharing your inside perspective
loved your video bro, I love Shimokitazawa... when I visited Japan for the first time in 2014 we got our airbnb there and stayed 2 weeks it was awesome living the Shimokita life The transformation of the train station and around it were just starting at the time... I look forward to coming back... enjoy !
so that was why all the contsruction was going on last time I was in shimokitazawa pre 2020! this video is great timing given japan planning to re-open to tourists soon. thank you for the great storytelling reggie. looking forward to many more of these types of videos from you and the team.
I just came back from Japan and I've got to say, I'm more impressed with Shimokitazawa's fashion than Harajuku. It has a much cooler, bohemian vibe and far less tourists.
Loved this video! I visited Japan in 2016 and Shimokitazawa was my favorite part of Tokyo besides the main hits like Harajuku and Shinjuku. I'd love to see more walk-around and fit watch videos in the future!
Love it and brings back memories when I did a solo trip to Japan 10 years ago and ws told to visit it for fashion pick ups. Was so refreshing. I also remember at the MOS burger there there was an older local who was like a regular and had his pet cat there 'reading a book'. Ahh Japan... 😂
Loved shimokitazawa based on your recommendation when I went to Tokyo in 2019. Really cool to see how it’s changed since. The station was still very much in construction back then. Can I get an ID on that black tote bag? Thanks for the vids mate
I appreciate this quick tour / rundown of the dark underbelly pf Japanese society. Everyone looks so comfortable. Imma have to visit this area, next time I’m in TYO for more than a layover.
Loved the vid Reggie. My last 2 trips in Tokyo I stayed in Shimo for a week each time, just something about the vibe that really resonated with me. I can't wait to go back! I also really liked the cover music you'd hear lightly playing on speakers outdoors throughout the side streets.
Nice video! I used to live in Kichijoji and work in Setagaya. I had to change trains in Shimokitazawa and would often stop there to have a look around, go for drinks etc. Interesting to see how much it has changed. It was a much grungier place back then (2005-06). Have you considered doing a similar video about Koenji? It's a rarely-mentioned place outside of Japan, unless you're really into vintage clothing. Peace and best wishes from Shinjuku 👍
I can see from the second half of the video… that you, like all Tokyo people, have a bias towards a place they’re accustomed to, in your case, shimokitazawa 😂😂 Loved your vid
I agree when you said that Japan / Tokyo is old. I was surprised too when I first got there like, why is this city giving me old vibes with the buildings and stuff lol plus I gotta carry heavy cash everywhere. In my country Indonesia most places / shops already receive phone payment. I rarely carry around cash here.
Im really liking this new format bro… I’ve been to Japan once and all the scenes you show in these vids remind me of how it was when I visited. Definitely will be on the lookout for more of these type of vids.
I want you to mention Kouenji in Tokyo as one of the best city to shop vintage & used clothes too. You can also feel old taste different from Shimokita.
My favourite part of town. South and west of the station was my hood. But I was there 7 years ago and everything seemed closed due to the expanding station development. I dunno what you call old, but there isn’t much from before the 60s Tokyo is mostly 60s or 80s buildings. I was in ikejiri. Bike ride down the river
Yup! Will do you may be surprised tho, the ladies in Japan dress a lot like guys in many areas. Fashion can be quite androgynous in Japan. But I’ll certainly do fit watches exclusively for the ladies in the future.
@@THECASUALco thank you! I have been into techwear so wearing men's clothes isn't new for me but if there was similar styles cut for female bodies i would be so happy :)
LOVE your videos! I'm headed to Tokyo in August 🌞How would one find their way to these alleys of shops fro the Shimo-Kitazawa station-- or is it obvious which direction to head?!
loved this video and content...at a time when I'm looking to emigrate, or relocate, I've got to add Japan to the list of places to consider, but with a family of 4, would it work...?
I'm looking forward to see how it has changed when I go back next year hopefully but in 2019 I was pretty much disappointed because the majority of shops offered high priced vintage american clothes only. So I went to smaller thriftshops around tokyo and a fleamarket and found some very nice (vintage, japanese brands, designer) and cheap (¥100 and up) stuff there. Anyways, I like the vlog content too 🐸🌸
Nothing better than shopping all day in Shimokita then walking back to the Mustard Hotel, pick out a few vinyl records in the lobby and play them in your room as you unwind from the day.
I’m booked for mustard hotel in a few weeks and this sounds like a vibe

Loved the vid! please do more, maybe even interviews with shops would be cool
Reminds me of the fashion tour I went on that you hosted a few years back Reggie. Just like old times 😆. Keep it up! Love the vlogging vids.
I usually go to Shimokitazawa for the music shops that are there - there are some great records that I've found for my collection from that area, but now I'll have even more of a reason to go back for the fashion 🔥
I miss these so much! Glad to see you out in the wild once more.
Awesome video, liking this new vibe! I haven’t heard of Shimo until I jumped on to your IG live, and now… I’m definitely dedicating a couple of days there once Japan opens up again.
Road Reggie! we asked and we got it. a man of his word. respect
Cuz of you all! You make the channel better
"thicker than a snickers" hahah dope video! like this type of content. Can't wait to get back to Japan.
Wow. Coming from a small town in Montana. I loved getting to see how everybody dressed in the video. I could totally go for some more!! Awesome video.
Great video man, so glad that Shimo still has its local flavour and my fav stores.
You are making me miss Tokyo Reggie! Keep them coming. Thank you!
Of course! I got you covered

Just visited Tokyo last month, I have to say you will immediately love SHIMOKITAZAWA if you are a vintage/ 2 hand clothes lover!

Definitely visiting Shimokitazawa and Ikebukuro the next time I’m in Japan. I totally forgot to see em when I was there last year.

I live vicariously through you Reggie

Awesome video! Definitely on the list of places to see on the Tokyo leg of my trip this winter
I imagine it was really hard for Reggie to do filming since most shops don’t allow - thank you for your efforts sir!
Need more of these! 🔥
I’m so inlove with the vintage
Dope Vid brother, this would be a good series to watch.
We’d love for you to show us these other areas you’re speaking of as well! 🔥

Oh we have those passport picture booths here in Italy too. Love those things ahahaha

Is that sweet ramen place still there that does the tomato and coriander ramen? Great vid
Reggie, have you been to Kojima / jeans street? It seems like an interesting place
Do you do meet ups? Im planning to be in Japan fin a couple of months and would love to meet you!

I totally agree, it’s the best! I like it waaaaaay better than Harajuku plus I prefer Shimo food choices too.

Respect; one for the algorithm
I hope my request/question that I’m about to ask is not out of your content. Do you know anyplace/store that sell vintage sport jersey? Thank you.
