As someone who loves both the typical Harajuku fashion that most westerners expect as well as street fashion, your Chanel has been a breath of fresh air in terms of the types of “Japanese fashion” videos that are on youtube. Thank you.
I remember walking all these streets in Harajuku when I traveled back in March 2020... the vibe was definitely different as it was empty. Didn't even know where the shops were at, just turned at every single corner and find hidden gems. Thanks for this bit, Reggie!
I still have my brown vintage haori that I bought from the Kimono Store that Reggie is pointing out. I remember the place because of it's odd location in front of a stairs. I love wearing that haori though it's a bit uncommon to wear it in the Middle East. WOW! this vid brings back the memories.
I think that some arab merchants had commercial relations with Japan in some eras. Maybe you can look for a period where it happened in your country and check for styling inspiration. As a canadian, I think that some anime include some cultural references to arab culture from time to time. You can also wear your haori at some climate appropriate spaces you visit or for events your attend.
I love Harajuku. Every time I stay overnight in Tokyo for a Street Fighter tournament I always follow up the next morning by heading up to Urahara for all the sneaker shops and eating breakfast at that Eggs n Things you passed.
I also remembered that I walked through the old Harajuku JR station on its final day of operation and i didn't know until my friend mentioned it to me. Good to be a part of history as a tourist.
It gives me shivers bro. I got to see again the streets we literally walking every single year in Japan. Save money for a year every year then just spend it all only for two weeks in Japan.
We visited Tokyo last week got no chance to visit Harajuku coz we were already exhausted coz of the season. Summer in Japan is too much for me ahahahaha
In San Francisco’s Japantown, there’s a tiny vintage shop that imports various pieces from Japan, and specializes particularly with Ben E. Davis. I actually had no idea Ben E. Davis was based in SF, but there is a special Japanese produced line and I found some REALLY dope gems from there! As a huge fan of Japanese Americana like NBHD, I had no idea that, Ben E. Davis was an SF-based brand and that they had a special Japanese line! I was floored! 😊
Oh man! I like the presentation with some history that connects to past, present, and future! and the fits on the street? and you chose a day where something is happening like that huge line? and you just scratched the surface on what can be found? exciting stuff bro. Good luck!
Need more vlogs and videos like this they are very informative and u give me stores that i should visit when i go. Do u think 2 weeks is enough to visit japan or do i need more days reggie?
Depends on the goal. For just shopping two weeks is MORE than enough. For touring AND shopping (which is more likely) two weeks is good but you have to pace yourself. There are a lot of things to see
That was a while back. That Atmos had a whole 2 years being a limited pop-up. There’s still 3 Atmos locations in the area tho. One next to NB, one on the main strip, and the last is Atmos Pink where WEGO used to be. The entire layout is changed. Even Takeshita is nearly brand new.
i'm interested in finding trustworthy clothing manufacturers, as i've already gone through a few on alibaba, but the quality/attention to detail just wasn't there & i'm tired of having to start from scratch when something doesn't work out. is that kind of info available if i sign up as a VIP on patreon?
Thank you for taking me back through the streets after not being allowed in for years because of covid. Please do more of these!
Of course!
You're like strolling around your own big backyard, just amazing, not to mention those tons of fashion knowledge
Means nothing if I don’t share it! Just want everyone to see what I see! Thanks for watching.

It’s cool to see they renovated Harajuku station I remember being there 3 years ago and I remember how old and insanely busy it was

I love this kind of videos. Help me prep for when Japan is finally open and I can finally go over for a holiday. Hope we get to see more of this.
It’s only right that we do it often
I’ve never traveled outside of my country South Africa and after watching this video I’m definitely coming to to japan as soon as I can, it’s so cool
This was awesome Reggie, I went there on 2014 and this is such a trip down memory lane. Japan fashion culture is incredible.
