Can you do videos on Shimokitazawa and Koenji? Heard they are both a vintage paradise.
Take us to the Tokyo sneaker stores! Or.... The denim stores in Okayama! Or.... Like a real look at the differences between north face and the north face purple label. Almost every significant brand has a Japanese "division".. I don't know if that's the right word. But like Japan exclusive shit.
Wait, "used to tour?" Did I just get lucky in being one of the last people you toured 😭.
YUUUPPP!
@@THECASUALco bittersweet feeling, as I'm returning in October and was hoping to tour again. But glad I had the opportunity, I know you mentioned new ventures so hopefully that's pushing through.
I went to Japan in the spring and spent around 250k JPY on fashion. Visited a lot of thrift shops but bought nothing (still fun to just check stuff out though) - mainly felt very overwhelmed by the sheer amount and variety. I think it would be nice if you could do a thrifting guide and cover areas like nakameguro
Happy Boi!
Would this work? Show us the best route for a particular genre/subset of Japanese fashion…
So you start at this landmark, visit these stores first, grab lunch here, head to these places next, grab a coffee here before pushing onto these final set of stores - all of the route(s) being defined by a certain style/look/methodology.
I reckon it would make for a fun series of content. And be particularly useful for people looking to maximise their time on a short visit.
Would love for you to check out M’arijuan! Saw you threw it in the B-roll and i missed it on my trip to Japan!
Ran into you here in 2018 and got a pic
Thx for putting me onto the sale fam
I'd love to hear more about Japanese accessories - or rather how accessories play into fashion in Japan (men and women)!
LOVED this mini-tour! Would LOVE to visit this and other best spots to discover Japanese Streetwear.
Which are YOUR favourite shopping areas/stores? #JapaneseStreetwear
Absolutely agreed when it comes to finding places in Tokyo, stumbling across Snow Peak randomly, having a friend introduce Portration, there's nothing quite like it
Osaka fashion tour would be unreal (Orange street and surrounds)
Wow i was just wondering where i should go to in japan to get Alt Fashion. Thank you!!!!!
Loving these videos, so glad I found you through Antwon. Especially loving the videos of seeing stores in Japan
Heading to Tokyo for the 2nd time in October and can't wait to hit up this mall. As a guy who loves woman's fashion, I can see myself wearing a lot of those styles plus it can definitely be uni sex if I wear it back home.
Also really dig that Yohji hat!
I went into Hummingbirdshill last May because you’d talked about the store in a previous video. The owner was so interesting and extremely nice when I was in there. I’d love to see you interview him. Maybe he’d be into it…? I would love to hear about how he became interested in the genre of fashion he carries and how he got started. Just an idea!
Oh that is the main entrance of that building. I've been to Japan every year but never notice that. I always end up going in Gr8. But i agree that building is the intro to Japanese street style.
H A R A J U K U B O I S
So, instead of showing us the clothes and maybe talk to the people inside, you stay on the outside and talk, showing us nothing? This video was a waste of time.
if I want to be closest to fashion like this in Tokyo, should I stay in Harajuku?
Cool video. Where are the mid price shopping options for men these days bro?
ラフォーレが森ビルとは知らなかった😮
ありがと!
Yo Casual, Long time fan. I was just in Japan last week and despite some rain I hit up Harajuku and Laforet. I had an epic time. I picked up some Ground Y, some Y's some Yohji (notice a trend?) lol and my favorite shoe brand right now OAO. I will say that Fashion in Japan is amazing. love the City boy look of baggy military inspired chinos pairs with an oversize Oxford shirt and Yankees cap to the more all black draped silhouette. New Balance and Onitsuka tiger are represented in droves. I also hit up shops in Shibuya and Shinjuku. I then started to think of my own fashion evolution and how back when I started watching your channel I was all abut Babe, Human Made, Waco Maria and Neighborhood but now I fee like those brands are easily accessible online and have not changed much. So what are the brands that will push the culture forward and in a more mature fashion sense, after all we are not all kids anymore and some of us might want to blend our love of Japanese fashion in a more upscale look. Love the channel, Keep it up and always stay casual my friend. Ps. for those who are planning a tip, I recommend the Sequence Hotel at Miyashita Park, not only is it sounded by cool restaurants and shops like Kith and Balenciaga but walking distance to Scramble and just a short walk over to Harajuku. loved my stay there.
just finished my two weeks Tokyo trip and I do agree that Harajuku is not that attractive as before, I only visited Beams, Humming Bird's hill shop, United Arrows, The H. W. Dog & Co. and Flamingo.
Ahh I didn't get to spend enough time in Harajuku and Shibuya during my big trip out there (tour group had a rigid schedule). But I want to shout out Lui's EX Shop in Parco Place. Got a really nice ombre crochet-knit sweater and the employees were quite fun to communicate with despite the language barrier.
I'm planning on coming to Japan next year. I need some spots to purchase clothes in my size(muscular build). I need your help, Reggie.
Visited Japan October 2017. It rained most of the trip. Laforet provided a warm and dry evening of browsing, education, and entertainment. I bought two dresses that were unlike anything I’d ever seen in the states. I still have them. I’ll always think fondly of the evening we spent wandering around Laforet. Thanks for highlighting and helping me remember that night.
I really love laforet because of the pp up stores they have. Yesterday I went and there was a really cool soccer themed store and I got a few things from there. A few months ago there was a store called Water the Plant which was dope too
What store had the bike and erl hoodie in the window? Can’t find it. Thanks in advance
🙂👌

Love the genba videos...and good to see you venturing out of your studio.
Still waiting for the Okayama in-depth video...lol!
I used to buy Nudie jeans in Laforet back in 2014 or 15,.....oh the denim-crazy era!
Great episode!
I love everything Japanese from fashion to cars and everything in between ❤
