I like how you mentioned how Japanese denim is coming back. Japanese jeans are literally the best pants you can buy. A+++++ quality, they will never go out of style and they literally go with EVERYTHING. I like Japan blue a lot but I LOVE MOMOTARO. (same company)
My friend sold the *amzclothes* and it looks like the real thing you showed. It even comes with an authenticity card that matches the serial number of each coat. But her fake was $150.
The quality is always what I look for in every thing! I have to say Japan’s products are no doubts never fail! I have some Japanese clothes doesn’t need to be brand names that last 20-30 years with regularly washing and dryer as often as I want !
I lived in japan and loved seeing the changing vibes in shinjuku and shibuya. I was brrok musician so I wore what ever I could afford. Japan is great about do what you want and feel great in it. New fan here! love your content! Subscribed!
I like the brand Saint Michael (Saint m6, Saint M××××××) which is also owned by Yuta Hosokawa with Cali Dewitt. The brand was started in 2020. It is more vintage aesthetic and they have many interesting design's which are mostly hand drawn design. And in the span of 2 years it is already popular among celebrities especially rappers and athletes. They already worked with Dickies, Takahashi Mirakami, Denim Tears and they have an upcoming Travis Scott/Cactus Jack collaboration.
Readymade is incredible. For me, the trend for others will come and go but I will always be a fan as long as they keep the same level of quality. Almost talked my homie into copping this $4K down puffer. He regrets not getting it til this day😂

i've seen lot of foreigners(from koreans, chinese, north americans, australians to european people) in japan that only go to buy from japanese brands from the most known to the underground, japan is a well spot to find the best styles form vintage to beyond that. is good to know more brands if you can share more i would appreciated.
This was such a dope video, one of the great things the Casual has EVER given me is curiosity. He brings up a brand, and I'm in real time googling it. I will say I have never pulled the trigger because I'm not educated enough on how to shop in japan, and the costs of imports could be etc, but someday. COULD SOMEONE PLEASE ID THE BOOTS AT 8:29
Ever since late February I've been seeing tons of high school kids wearing 2016 spec Bape hoodies and an hour ago I saw someone wearing an old ASSClub cherry blossom hoodie. Still dreading 2030 when the denim vest obey snapback and YMCMB hoodie outfit shows its tastelessly scuffed face again.
As a broader shouldered guy, even when I've been in good shape, I would love to try more Japanese brands but I'm always under the impression that the sizing will just not work for me
Homie I’m 6’3 and 200lbs and as long as I get a 44 in jackets they fit fine on me. Jeans fit extremely well I just use my American sizing 34 and I’ve never had an issue. Just go for it

Hmmm. New to the channel. This my first video. Any of these brands good for 5'1" chubby black dude? Much needed closet refresh. PS. Also from the tropical Caribbean islands.
In Australia we're quite lucky to be close to Japan so there's a good selection of new & vintage retailers for Japanese brands. and wander has been a hit and there are other brands which could be on this list too that are quietly making waves here like Beams Plus and Snow Peak.
@@bumenjoyer there's a handful of good boutiques and vintage sellers in Aus. I would recommend checking out Incu, Contra, Double Double, Supply, Up There, Above The Clouds, Chinatown Country Club, Highs And Lows, 108 Warehouse, Kloretex and Midnight Mart. GQ Aus also wrote about menswear boutiques recently!
Years ago I worked in a one-hour film lab. The company brought in new Fuji machines. During a tech demo, someone mentioned that the buttons were really small. The Japanese tech didn't even look up from the screen. "No. Your fingers are too big."
Actually an investment can be something that saves you money in the future as well. A pair of well made durable jeans that cost 300 but last for decades is better investment than buying a pair of $30 jeans every year. Investments don’t HAVE to be something that gives you money back. And investment is anything that allows you to have more money in the future. Whether that’s a house whose value increases over time OR a pair of jeans whose value doesn’t increase BUT prevents you from spending more money over time.
@@THECASUALco I actually think we’re both kinda right on this. I do buy some clothes based on quality of production and some items like jackets and jeans can be a good investment because they do last so much longer. Great video as always, I would love to see more videos on Amekaji/American heritage fashion done by the Japanese if you ever get the chance.
Interesting channel. But not having any timeline when we need to go back and look for the brand names is kinda annoying. Will be super cool to add that like many do nowadays. Thanks for all those brands tho.

Unpopular (or maybe it's popular i dunno) opinion: Readymade is overpriced and now unoriginal. High fashion labels do reconstruction/military. Anybody & everybody on insta & tiktok is remaking military garments. Duffel bags into coats using their home sewing machines. For a tiny fraction of Readymade's price. No way Readymade could capture the West now with this much solid competition.
Maybe BUT I would still argue that it's direction, name recognition, and consistency as a brand would surely have a leg up on many competitors. Also you have to remember the same can be said for ANY of the brands that were mentioned in the episode. Anyone could construct what The Viridi-anne does, or make a hoodie like Monkey Time, or outerwear like And Wander. Point? The issue ISN'T originality. In fashion it RARELY is. It's solid branding, audience, and consistency; all things that READY MADE already has.
@@THECASUALco For sure, that's fair. But - if readymade hopes to crack into more mainstream western markets, it can't be pricing one-off hand made garments at $9000 a pop! He'll need to branch out into lower price point T shirts with some minor detailing or something haha
