"Sacoche" (pronounced sakosh) is a word we use for a type of little bag in french often worn on the shoulder with a long adjustable strap. We usually throw all kinds of small stuff in it such as a phone keys etc
I was just over in Japan for a little over a week, the people of Tokyo are very fashionable. You can tell a lot of the folks there take a lot of pride in their personal presentation.
While countries around the world are deteriorating and losing their greatness about them, Japan has recognized that greatness, taken it, and kept it all alive for us to remember and get back to one day. I appreciate Japan so much.
went to japan in april and as a denim head myself i was sooo impressed with all the shopping. i was so excited to see all these brands in real life instead of looking through the webpage. reat video! and amazing pick ups!
Stumbled upon Kamakura by accident one day. By far my favorite place in Japan. Mad vibes. Surf/Biker town with so many great artists. Kurosawa is buried in the town. Fitting.
The disclaimer, the humble and respectful approach to fashion with a crazy sense of passion for the artform, instant sub. Looking forward to watching your stuff man
I use the *hotdups* as a work bag and have had no issues. It is a comfortable bag, has a lot of room, and has not lost its shape. That being said, I also take care of all my bags and don't carry water bottles, pens, keys, or anything that could damage the contents.
i absolutely love that you mentioned bape and bought two pieces in japan. bape was the first brand that got me hooked to street wear and fashion in general back in 2005 and 2006, i ended up having fake pieces as well in high school and then at the beginning of 2020 i was able to go to japan and i purchased a few pieces. it was such an amazing feeling going to the original bape store in harajuku and purchasing something. it was like living a childhood dream of mine even tho my love for bape isn’t the same as it was. i think it’s important to stay true to ourselves and what we like even if the masses have moved away from it. we gotta scratch they street wear itch from time to time
sad that you couldn't experience Evisu before full China acquisition, you would have loved it and the fit of the made in japan denims is just so much better than what is offered now. Staff were with the brand since early 2000s, real OGs. I picked up 3 pairs when I was there and will rock them until they fall apart
The Spiderman shirt is sick, along with everything you got, and at the bottom in red it actually just says “Spiderman” again in Japanese. My favorite thing was definitely the leather bag, such a special find
I love the way you explain the story behind every item, it makes me want to appreciate what I wear and purchase a lot more. It is also so much more interesting than the usual hauls a lot of people do on yt where they're just like "yeah its cute" "yes i have this", it is so fast paced and senseless and honestly there is just a lack of personality and creativity. It was really really refreshing to find you on this platform! Would love some videos about styling an specific item or items maybe? Like the denim jacket or maaan I loooove the leather bag as well, and that akira manga omg ❤️🤧 so cool. Can't wait for the vlogs, ok this was too long bye
I really appreciate the disclaimer since honestly, it's good to have those reminders about being aware of our consumption and be more critical of what we're buying. Not to say we can't buy what we see, but just be mindful if we just enjoy seeing what others pick or if it's something that compliments our current style
I love the *hotdups* bag. It’s like adopting a dog from a shelter 😄 Even a beat-up Birkin can be made new in their own way if you give them a little love.
This might be my favourite pick ups video of all time. Your story telling and passion for the clothing and experience of finding it makes this so much more than just a haul of "cool" things. I also just got back from Japan and it was life changing. Glad to see Kamakura left as much of a mark on you as it did me - magical place.
The intentionality in each purchase..the stories behind them…even the details on the belt with the jeans…loved that!!….I enjoyed this video very much. I just discovered your videos one day ago, 9/28,2024 and I have screen shot some images to add to my style photo album…at 51, I am slowly challenging my style and loving videos like yours. You’re not like some of the others that have these massive hauls just to have…so the disclaimer in the beginning was great!!! You’re doing a wonderful job!!
Greatly appreciated how deeply in depth you talked about each pick up! Shows that you spend mindfully and with intention! Favorite pick up were the Danner cascades!
Hi! I didn't know that, in Europe the popularity and prices of Birkins 35 are actually increasing, I can't find any reliable sellers selling them for less than 8000 euros, or If you want Birkins 35 in very good condition, perfect shape, no odor, complete set, neutral color, *hotdups* fits the bill.
173 maybe a detailed look of the leather bag including the inside? Japanese craftsmanship for things like leather, tailoring and shoes is really interesting

I feel like, you have quite an intelligent perspective! I enjoyed your videos very much.
What’s up from Tokyo. I have found your channel and watched this video. I am very glad that you seemed to have good time in Japan. I really like the brown leather bag from Kamakura. I would like to have one from there. I wanna know more about the shop and the bag. Watching your channel makes me bring back to my young days when I liked fashion. Since I lived in the US for long time, I like to know Americans’ perspective about Japan. I like your channel a lot.

Great video, when I started wearing Levi’s,a very long time ago,I started with the 501’s and have tried all the other styles and am now wearing the 511’s
Love the pickups Drew! Excited to see the vlog and glad you spent so much time solely in Japan, that’s the best way to travel. Where is the black/navy jacket you have on @13:52 from? It looks great with the leather bag and the pin 🔥

I can really see your influence on my purchases with this vid, I think that means you do good work for consumerism. looking forward to the vlogs #wegetthedrip
I live in South Korea, so Japan is only about a 2 hour flight. I literally save up all my money and don't buy anything, not even a pair of socks, just so that I could buy all my basics and clothes in Japan, its one of the best places to shop at and if you haven't done so, I really recommend it. However, thrifting will be ruined for the rest of your life cause the vintage stores in Japan are beyond amazing.
Drew what it doooo! New sub right here! Loved this video and the sense of community you advocate for my bro! Hot tip to share: Next time your in Tokyo, visit the ward of Nakano specifically a place there called Nakano Broadway. It's a total otaku's dream (Think Akihabara but in a huge shopping centre). There is a store called Manadarake and they have one particular branch that specialises in anime cells. As someone who plans to visit Japan for the first time in the next year or two, I absolutely cannot wait for your in depth vlog of your visit. I'm at the VERY beginning stages of my planning so this couldn't have come at a better time. While the concept of vintage americana in japan, selvedge denim, and japan as a fashion capital as a whole seems large, I'm struggling to find content that is created as advice centered purely around this topic, but in the country of Japan in particular. Everybody is one click away from learning how to use a bullet train, or which season is best for cherry blossoms, but advice on where to find these boutiques, cities to explore with this sub culture of fashion in mind, etc. is going to be highly useful in the planning of my trip. I say this somewhat selfishly, but please do not feel as if you have to cut the in depth video short to spare your viewers. You were in essentially the mecca of what a good portion of your channel encapsulates! That is such a massive milestone for you and this channel and I'm excited to see every minute of it. #PVV Jeans street first. It's only right you set it off where it all started... and #WeDontGetTheDrip I'm team Lauren on this one my boy 😂
