The important thing to understand here is that is your opinion but it also isn’t constructive. YOU don’t like the pieces. That’s totally fine but you’re presenting your opinion as a statement of fact. Fashion is subjective to the individual and you believe it’s “hideous” and feel that European and New York fashion is better. That’s fine but it’s not at all universal nor was it presented as such.
This is why we can’t have nice things. Should I have said Skoloct? Engineered Garments? Rehacer? Cambio? Glamb? Ouret? Ego Trippin? NoID? John Lawrence Sullivan? Studious? Name? Sulvam? Bed JW Ford? Edwina Hoerl? We could go on here BUT the key to letting people in is to give them something familiar and then later maybe you give them something more. This idea of “mainstream” and “going deeper” is a concoction made up by individuals to make themselves feel better about knowing more brands. Naming all those brands at the beginning is an example of that pomposity. Streetwear is mainstream, it’s only natural to pick “mainstream” labels that play along the same tropes within that world. No disrespect but that really needed pointing out.
